Have you ever accidentally knocked over a beer and have it spill all over your keyboard? I have. That's why I bought this, hoping it would help with that problem. I wasn't too happy with the thought of having to glue it down in one spot on my desk though. I do a lot of different things at my desk and like to move my drink around accordingly. But I have spilt a lot of beer over the years and ruined a lot of keyboards. When I set this anti-spill contraption on my desk for the first time, I noticed how easily it slid across my desk without removing the protective cover for the sticky glue base. I tried to knock my beer over (with as much force as would be accidental) and the thing just slides and doesn't spill. It has some kind of design in it that keeps it from toppling over and slides with no spillage. It works with coffee mugs with handles too. I think this is one of the best things I've bought recently, but like I said...I'm not sticking it to my desk. Let it slide!

I am a mega klutz. I used to spill an average of two drinks a week on my beside table - not an exaggeration, I'm just absent minded and not particularly spatially inclined. My friends used to joke that I needed a sippy cup. I also have two cats. I've had this special coaster for over a year, and I use it multiple times a day at my bedside. I knock into it fairly regularly, and I have spilled ZERO drinks that have been inside it. Not a single one, and I've really whacked it by accident. I usually put cans and mason jars in it, and I don't even use the insert to make it tighter (a mason jar wouldn't fit anyways) - still no spills. I actually get anxious sometimes when I'm not at home and have to be a normal adult and pay attention to where my elbows are in relation to my drink. Note: it is not *as* good for tall glasses, but it still works pretty well! Two people in my life have issues with mobility and tremors, and knocking over drinks is a big issue for them. I bought it for both of them, and both have told me that it was a gamechanger for them and a huge improvement to their quality of life. I feel like this sounds like a fake review because I'm gushing about it, but I really love this thing, it makes a big difference to me (and my carpet / furniture), and it's worth every penny. 10/10. PS - I perused some of the other reviews and I had a few things to add about the base and adhesion: -The neoprene base has an extremely strong hold - it *feels* like strong glue adhesive, even though it's removable neoprene, and it is a bit tricky to remove once you've placed it. -That said, if you remove it properly (the one time I had to reposition it, I gently prodded at the edge of it with a knife until I could get a grip on it), it does come off, and it does restick again, just as strong as before. But once it's on there, it isn't going anywhere unless you really work at it. I think this is a plus, personally; I know it's not going to slip, and I have it where I want it. I just wouldn't recommend that you expect to cart it around the house with you - I'd choose a spot and stick with it. -Don't put it on a painted surface or a delicate surface. It will probably strip off paint or possibly varnish upon removal. But it works great on hardier surfaces. -And to the gentleman who said that it slides around and needs a grippy bottom...you gotta take the protective plastic film off the bottom, my dude.

Great product works as advertised

I've only had this for a week but it performs the exact job I needed it for. I have a cat who won't knock over cups unless he's very bored.... But he DOES like to stick his face in cups and then start walking without removing it. You can imagine how many spills this had produced. This product is perfect and most of our cups and mugs fit in it very well. I've not tried it with a cup that doesn't fit yet, but I'm sure they exist. It's no issue for me though, since I can always just choose to use a cup that DOES fit if I know I'm going to be leaving a drink unattended around the cat. The biggest complaints I have are the adhesive and the condensation pooling. The adhesive is GREAT... almost too great. I appreciate that doesn't wear out, but I have to fight for my life to get it off of the surface. I'm not the strongest, but I don't think I'm particularly weak either. If you have any sort of joint pain, grip issues, etc, then you'll either need help moving it between surfaces or you'll need to pick one spot for it to STAY. Twisting it helps a little bit, but it's still rough. It doesn't seem to leave any sticky residue once it's off, though, so that's nice. As for the condensation pooling, I don't really think there are a lot of solutions to that. You just can't leave a condensation-sweating drink in there for too long, lest you want to get dripped on when you pick it up to drink. I've just taken to having a paper towel on hand to wipe it up every so often, since the benefit the coaster provides is definitely greater than the inconvenience of the puddle. As mentioned, I got this to keep my cat from knocking drinks over, but this would also be very useful if you're clumsy or tend to have a lot of people risk bumping into a table or coffee table. I'll definitely be getting more, both to have around in my day to day as well as to curb drink spillage during game nights with friends.

It's sturdy and has one of those sticky bottoms that can be placed, removed and used again. I got it for my coffee table to keep my small bottom thermos from tipping. works great.

Made very solid and works perfectly in our RV to keep drinks from spilling.

We purchased two of these nearly three years ago when our motorhome was brand new. We have two children and wanted something that would hold drinks even while moving. This product does exactly that. The tacky on the bottom is still strong nearly three years later. It does take a little to lift the base off the table or counter, but you can move it anywhere and be assured that it will stick right back down. The coaster holds multiple sizes, the internal insert is perfect for normal cups or narrow bottomed containers. The insert can easily be pulled out for large cups, mugs, or other drinks. For us, it has been successful at handling all cups and drink sizes. Lastly, this TableCoaster really does prevent spills. My kids can have cups of milk, soda, you name it, we can be bouncing down the road, this coaster has not allowed one tip or even near miss yet. If I were to say anything negative, I could say that they can be difficult to remove from a surface, but to me it is worth it given the longevity and sureness of this product. We LOVE them.

Large coffee cups don’t fit.

I drink a few cups of coffee each day, and one of the worst things is to spill a coffee cup on your desk, which then flows onto the carpet an over your keyboard and mouse. I've done it many times, which is why this anti-spill holder is pretty good. It comes with an inner and outer sheath,meaning you can use a variety of mugs. It uses what can only be described as some type of double sided tape (although it is technically not tape) underneath to keep it from moving. To be honest, I wish they had used a different type of material, as once you put it down on the glass or table it's nearly impossible to pull off, which I guess is the point, but I think this unit might be to permanent. Anyway, since I've had this drink holder I haven't spilt any drinks, so it's done its job. It's a little too expensive if I'm honest. I think I paid $25. It's probably worth maybe $15-$20 for what it does, but if it protects your carpet keyboard and mouse then it's worth it.

I tried a few different cup holders over the year & never found one that would sturdily sit right on my bedside table & fit both mugs & glasses. If you’re fed up of knocking your coffee or gin & tonic over your bed sheets, or banging your head on it’s sharp edges whilst dreaming about wrestling, then this one is perfect! It’s very stable & doesn’t move at all. I can easy fit a coffee mug, tumbler glass or wine glass in it & haven’t knocked over a single thing since i bought it. There’s a slot in the side for the cup handle which makes it very easy to lift it in or out. It even catches any drips which are easy to wipe out. Plus, no sharp edges! The cats can climb over it or brush past it without knocking anything over now. Whether you have neurological problems like me or just want a decent glass or cup holder by your bed or in the office, i recommend this 100%. It was a bit more expensive than some of the others listed, but i really like it. Its strong, well made & will probably last for years. Great buy!
