I plugged this in near where I’ve been hearing scratching at night, and it was easy. The setup was just plug it into the outlet and move on. I also liked that it didn’t seem like it “bothered” me while I was in the room, because I was worried it would be loud. Honestly, I couldn’t tell which mode was “best” just by sound, since I couldn’t hear much, but I did notice the activity I’d been hearing got less. The only thing I’d point is that you still have to be patient. It didn’t instantly erase the problem the first night, but it also wasn’t annoying to use, so I kept it going. I’m using it indoors, and it fits my routine way better than traps or dealing with messy cleanup. For my situation, it’s been a solid, simple backup to keep things quieter and less tempting for mice.

So some bad infected gardening dirt and seed starting in a side room went horribly bad when we realized the dirt was infected with gnats. By the time I realized the source we had gnats all over our house. It was so bad I could be sitting on the opposite side of the house and I could see them crawling around the TV or my phone screen. I needed to do something. Back to old school technology - sticky pags. I put one of these in each planter we had thinking we could eliminate them at the source. Well these pads worked. I knew they were working as they went from yellow to black with the number of gnats they collected. We collected so many gnats that it was scary how big our gnat issue had become. We ultimately took the plants outside as the sticky pads while completely effective just couldn't kill them fast enough. Now a word of caution. Took the plants outside including the sticky traps. We ended up getting a baby gecko and some bird feathers so please do not use these outside. Inside they were effective , outside a little to effective; not selective. Glad we got these as they saved our sanity.

Whether you overwater or underwater your plants, fungus gnats find a way in. Last year I had a ton of fungus gnats flying all over and laying eggs in my plants. They are a huge pain to get rid of. I ended up replacing the dirt and repotting most of them. Then I learned about these sticky traps. You can just peel off the sticker on both or just one side and stick it in the soil of the plant. The gnats are attracted to the bright yellow color and when they go near it, they get stuck on the glue. I put one of these in each of my plants and they are great for capturing those annoying pesky gnats. On some of my plants, I just peel one side and have it face out so the plant leaves don’t get stuck on it and it works great. These come in 2 different shapes and whichever shape you choose, it works the same. I highly recommend these to anyone that has annoying critters in their plants.
