Worth The Watch For Younger Adults
I honestly have no idea why I decided to spend $14.99 on this movie. By my past movie reviews we can all see my fandom of Seth Rogen- so that could have played a role in this buy. I had absolutely no idea what this movie was about going into it. All I knew is that it had some crappy reviews. But then again- don't all Seth Rogen movies here on Amazon get a bad rap? Oh my gosh there were DRUGS, guys! (Also known as a plant... marijuana- but for the sake of most of these reviews it's called the big bad 'pot').I'm a twenty-two year old female. Never attended college. Became a foster mom at a young age, settled into a boring dead-end relationship and lived out all of my young adulthood thus far without a single jello shot in my tummy (and ya- I say 'tummy' because that's what moms do). Essentially I can't really relate to any of the characters here. And I didn't know if I'd love the story considering the storyline is based on something I can't even fathom experiencing. And yet, I found myself hysterically laughing the entire way through.Rose is an exquisite portrayal of a strong modern young mom. She's witty, awkward, confident, and undeniably beautiful- which combined made her a ridiculously funny character. I think I laughed through ALL of her lines. Seth is lovable as always. As with most of his films he portrays a young adult male caught between adulthood and adolescence. Childish, yet trying to make his way in the 'real world'. These two adult characters, have created a perfect little family with an adorable little girl. Starting scene is them trying to have sex in front of their infant daughter and I about peed myself laughing. I think a few parents out there can DEFINITELY feel their frustration there. All seems uninterestingly perfect in their perfect little boring home, until a college fraternity moves in next door.Dave Franco and Zac Efron play the two lead main characters in the frat. I've never seen either of these young men in film before (which I know probably makes me borderline out-of-touch with societal norms in America). With that being said, I was immediately charmed by these two. Both had a great sense of comfort on screen and obviously enjoyed being able to act young and ridiculous for an entire movie. When these two characters enter the lives of Rose and Seth things obviously get turned upside down. Chaos ensues and a hysterical storyline starts to unfold. Here's why most people hate this film. There's boobs (hurry everyone hide your eyes). But seriously- can we get over this chest fear already? It's the 21st century people. We have better things to worry about than oh-my-God an exposed nipple. Also, there's a lot of pot in this film. A ridiculous amount of pot. But if that offends you, then what the heck are you doing watching a Seth Rogen film to begin with? The one thing I walked away LOVING about this movie is the fact that Seth and Rose's characters are avid pot smokers yet AMAZING parents. As a marijuana-advocate myself and ALSO a foster mom (oh I know- let the harsh comments begin), I loved that pot smokers weren't the enemy here. They were portrayed so perfectly, and so normally. High five to Seth for being able to set up a situation where stoned parents were lovable wonderful moms and dads.A majority of this film is about college partying- which makes it probably most relatable for people in their late teens and early twenties. I'm pretty sure that was its target audience. Not a huge fan of this 'theme' of film typically, but I got a few laughs out of this one, and so I rated it high. The main reason I rated it 4 stars (rather than my original '3' on liking alone) is the fact that the filmwork was done ridiculously well. There were so many artistic angles and everything was captured in a way that didn't make you dizzy, but made you feel apart of the environment. I also LOVE that rather than slow-panning over women half-the-time (like TONS of other college-themed films) this movie didn't exploit women at all. Granted there were a few tits, but they weren't overly sexualized, and they weren't the focus of any party scene. THANK YOU to the filmmakers here for being so aware of what they were capturing and doing it so tastefully! All in all the content of this movie is an 18 and over view, and if you're in the targeted audience (college-aged kids and young adults) you're going to consider this a 5 star movie. Span to an older generation, and the generational gap will take its toll. I see where most of the negative reviews come from- which is largely due to the fact that the viewers simply can't relate. The acting was good. The comedy kept me going through the entire movie- definitely laughing all the way to the end. No tear-jerker moments like some "comedies" that make you cry in the end (God bless being a woman and having the ability to tear up during almost any semi-emotional piece of filmwork). The way the film was captured was really well-done in my mind. The script was unique. I'd say the viewing experience you'll receive depends on what you go into this film hoping for. Want a youthful, a-bit-risqué, somewhat-controversial comedy experience? Good- watch this. Want something family-friendly or politically-correct?... better pick another film. 4 stars from me, though.

Meet the Neighbors, why not, they're harmless
Welcome to the neighborhood... I have to say, some of the best lines in movies are in the trailers, and I loved the trailers for Neighbors, the movie itself seemed to be missing something? I get the idea, couple with a new baby gets a fraternity for neighbors, the what could go wrong possibilities are endless, but even so it was no where near what I expected -sigh. The scene with Zac dressed as a Canadian mounty or maybe it was a boy scout uniform -in the previews he shouts "Are you ready for a show?!" it wasn't in the version of the movie I saw, and I really wanted to see that part, I think for Zac it was supposed to be good bye high school musical and hello swearing and sex scenes? That didn't quite happen, the only time his so-called girl friend got near him was at the beginning when she jumps up and wraps her legs around his waist, otherwise she's with Dave Franco and talking with Rose Byrne, I don't know what her character name was, only that she was played by Halston Sage and had 2 lines in the whole movie -a rumored reputation in the real world might have shortened her role, but she was the only one I laughed at during the movie, she turned out to be cute:.. Zac as Teddy was the nicest fraternity president there could be, hazing was never so compassionate. Rose and Seth were a strange couple, and I'm sorry to say that topless scene with Rose's character too drunk to feed the baby were hard to look at, hanging out of a nursing bra isn't sexy, it's embarrassing. She's one of my favorite actresses, so it's hard to watch her in a compromising role. Seth seemed rather ordinary, no inappropriate drug use or humiliating actions for him -& he handles that kind of thing quite well, I think he's kinda famous for it? It was pretty obvious to me there were lots of scenes cut from the movie that would have made a more complete fulfilling film, but oh well, at least they didn't try to assassinate a real world leader and go straight to DVD? All in all, to my surprise, I liked miss Sage the best -I really thought I'd hate her? I'd love to see the deleted scenes, at least with Zac in the funny hat putting on a fireworks show, let him misbehave already! He's more than just a shirtless wonderboy, I swear! Anyway, oh well, it was almost a good movie -recut it could be great, let me do the editing, only that might be too much, I'm brutally honest and have a sick and twisted sense of humor, so....

Ummmm....? Oookaaayyy?
Yikes! Wow...this movie was like Animal House (with the late great John Belushi) but on steroids! ***PROFANITY !*** Seth Rogan is hilarious, that is a given, his rapier wit and raunchy humor are legendary. AND, this may be his most rowdy movie yet! This urban combat spoof is outrageous. Imagine, if you will, your a young couple...just settling into married life with a new baby. You've put your wild times in the past, you have sown your wild oats, now it's time to be alllll grown up and be responsible...But THEN, just as your coming to grips with life, and you've found your favorite chair..ack!! all of a sudden, a fraternity house opens up RIGHT NEXT DOOR! And not only a fraternity house, but a fraternity led by a young senior, played (almost TOO well) by Zac Effron, who is Hell bent to be a legend! The wildest frat house EVER! Hot tubs! Psychedelic colors and backlights blazing! Music blasting every night! Scantily clad babes! Kegs galore, and barrels full of ...er...smoke being lit throughout the house!....What do you do!? If you can't beat them, you take them down...or try to. The ensuing war that rages between the young couple and the wild maniacs in the frat house are ....well, beyond words. Actually my wife and I (an older version of the young couple in the movie) laughed ourselves sick, as we gasped in horror at the same time. (Some) of the young ADULTS out there will find this wayyyyy funny. (Some) may be offended by the constant flow of fluent profanity. My wife and I...meh,...we we're caught somewhere in the middle. Definitely not for children. Not a five star movie because, not everyone will appreciate the gloves off -- bare faced-- wildness.

Laugh-Out-Loud Funny!
I absolutely loved NEIGHBORS! My friend and I saw it in theatres back when it first released, and loved it then. I loved it just as much when I rewatched it! The dynamics of this movie are fantastic. It's hilarious, but it's also packed full of moments that make you stop and think. NEIGHBORS is packed full of humour and jokes are constantly being cracked, but while that's all going on, it's also simultaneously examining life itself. Is being in a Fraternity really the most important thing in your life? What do you do if you never study in school and hit your peak in college/University? Is getting old and starting a family really all that bad? NEIGHBORS never directly examines these life dynamics, but they're there and it makes the movie even easier to relate to, and so much funnier because it isn't happening to us.I 100% recommend NEIGHBORS! It's funny, the actors are amazing, and the story is super hilarious!! I can't wait for the sequel to come out!

Distrayant
Comédie un peu lourde sur des voisins bruyants par leurs excès de fêtes qui viennent s'installer à côté d'un jeune couple .Cela ne fait que peu rire mais permet de se changer les idées à défaut d'autre chose
