This is just exactly why the new trading with Europe is such a good idea. This DVD/CD player and many other things is a very well craft and designed piece of electronic equipment. I have Never been more happy and satisfied with a purchase as I am with this. Wal-Mart and the Chinese stuff are GONE >.. UK Baby :-) A 3 Year warranty and it is a great warranty. It plays , operates as you would want. Quiet, quickly, dependable. Has every cord you need for hook-up, connections fit just like they are suppose to. The hand remote IS EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND I CAN ACTUALLY SEE EVERY SINGLE ONE WORK. 22 JUST ON TOP-HALF. If you need a DVD / CD player this is the one you want. This is an amazing compact Multi Regional 1080p DVD & CD player. It comes with everything you need for easy set up. It has HD cable, AV cable, Power adaptor for your region and remote control (batteries not included). It also has USB Playback and HD Upscaling. It was super easy and quick to setup to my TV. Plays my dvds and cds very well so far. If your looking for a lightweight space-saving dvd player to play your movie collection or listen to your cds I recommend this one.

Player worked out of the box to play dvd. The picture was kind of low quality for my 58" 4k google tv, but it works. Player cannot play mkv video files on usb; A format that is very common today.

If you’re looking for a good, budget friendly region free DVD ONLY player, this is a good one. It was very easy to set up, very quick to learn, and no hassle in playing. The player itself isn’t too bulky, and it’s relatively quiet.

It's early, and just received the dvd player, but I must say after watching two videos, so far, you are getting more value than the 30.00 I paid for this unit. Truly outstanding! Sound quality, while not earth shattering, is enjoyable. Remote is very good, and works well, only beef is the lettering is small, but large enough to read. Setup was easy peasey. Will just see how it holds up over time. One suggestion, I bought the extended warranty, 8.99 for 3 yrs is was well worth it.

I’ve been wanting a little kitchen set up for a while, and finally have one, thanks to this compact player!! The Majority DVD player is a region-free player, meaning it is compatible with a wide range of media! This is so exciting to me personally, because there are some DVDs I’ve been wanting, but haven’t gotten, because they weren’t compatible with our basic dvd player. Its compact size makes it the perfect addition to our countertop, as it takes up very little space. It comes with an HDMI cable, av cables, and a remote, which I find so handy! I was able to get everything connected to our tv and was able to play our movie in only a couple of minutes. The sound is amazing, and I can hear it clearly as I walk throughout the kitchen and into other areas of our home. I’m so excited for our new little cozy corner, and to be able to watch our movies and shows while we’re busy in the kitchen. I believe this is the perfect addition to any home.

I honestly didn't expect much for the price but I can tell you that I have been impressed by the quality! Extremely easy hook up because the wires were included! The remote is easy to use and overall I would 100% purchase this DVD player again!

Hardware: The first thing I noticed about this Majority DVD player is how compact it is, coming in at less than half the size of my 4K player. Also, the included remote is intuitive and easy to use with a good button layout for navigating the menu screens of both DVDs and the player itself. Picture: When set to progressive scan (1080p) through the menu, the picture is surprisingly sharp with rich color and contrast on my Samsung 65" 4K QLED TV. Audio: The user manual includes options for surround sound speaker setup, but the option is not in the player's settings menu, at least not that I could find, and I couldn't set the audio for native 5.1 output in Dolby Digital or DTS. However, that could be an issue on my end because I use an older digital surround sound receiver that connects through Digital Optical. Since the Majority player doesn't have a Digital Optical port (most players don't have them anymore), I had to run the HDMI cable into an adaptor that transfers the audio signal to a Digital Optical cable that then runs to my receiver; maybe something was lost in translation. Using the Dolby Pro Logic II setting on my receiver, though, I was able to split the player's 2-channel stereo audio into five speakers for a surround experience that still sounded excellent. Also, I love how the player has multiple options for distributing sound from mono audio tracks. With that and my receiver's Pro Logic II setting, it actually creates a fairly decent simulation of surround sound for mono audio. Region-Free Functionality: Simply put, the Majority Player ran the Region 2 and Region 0 PAL discs I tried very well and I noticed no hiccups in the conversion to NTSC.

Absolutely great product. This product actually got delivered from USA and made in Britain. It runs all kinds of cd and dvd and easy to use. All other Chinese brands of dvds are useless and faulty except this one.

So far it's working pretty well and thus I have no complaints against same.

The Scholars DVD player is relatively new. I needed to replace an old DVD player whose remote has failed totally and as we have a collection of box sets and films on DVD wanted to have a way to play them without breaking the bank. The fact that it could also play CD’s was a bonus as again we have a large collection of CD’s that I have never got round to digitising! It arrived in the usual oversized Amazon box but the actual product package was closer to the dimensions of the player. It was neatly packed with the player, remote and the audio visual leads all in the box. There are no written instructions so if your need them you have to scan the QR code in the Welcome leaflet. However, I have to confess that I did not read the manual until after I had set up the player so it is not much of a hardship! Setting up the player is very easy. Connect it to the mains and then either join it to your TV by HDMI or the AV/RCA source at the back, put batteries in the remote, open the DVD carrier, insert a disc, press close and then it plays! I used both HDMI and the AV/RCA connection on my TV to see which was better but could see no difference in playback so you can pick which suits you best. In my case that is AV as my HDMI sockets are filled by an Amazon Fire Stick and my Youview connection. The picture quality is excellent and there were no issues with playback. I then tried the CD playback and using the TV speakers the results were fine. I need to get a cable that will allow me to connect the player directly to the TV sound bar but that is a personal preference. The player is small and light so finding a place for it to sit is easy. The setup screens offer a range of options but the defaults work fine. I also tried the USB playback using the socket at the front of the player. I created a small collection of photos to display and it worked flawlessly producing a slide-show without any effort on my part. As for criticism well they are very minor. I was disappointed that the remote came without batteries but as like most people I have a supply of AAA batteries in the house so not a big issue. The other criticism would be that the titles on the front of the player above the buttons are not picked out in white/silver so can be hard to read. But as most of the time you control the player from the remote so it is not a big issue. Overall, given the price this is an excellent player.

First impressions very good, easy setup, good picture and sound quality, 3 years guarantee and cheap, what’s not to like.
