DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SCOOTER. I read the reviews and figured maybe just a few bad ones went out. Well, this scooter arrived, I put it together while my son went on and on about how cool it was and how he’s so excited to use it. We get it all set up and it will not charge. I tried the cord it came with, numerous other USB-C cords and chargers, and it never charged. It’s going back. So now I have to disassemble it, put it back in the box, and take it to the UPS store. Not only do I not have a scooter, I have to take time out of my day to send it back. Don’t waste your money.

After lots of research, I finally pulled the trigger on this scooter, and I'm convinced it's the best entry-level (non-toy) scooter on the market. I bought this scooter for my teenage son who will use it daily to commute back and forth from the bus stop 1/2 mile away. He's put about 10 miles on it so far, and we've run it through a couple of charging cycles, and I have zero complaints. I think this is hands down the best scooter you can buy for less than $200 (I paid $180). Charging: I love the USB-C charging connection because that means that there are no proprietary chargers that can break or be lost. You can use any USB-C charger that has at least 60W of output power. For those reviewers who have had trouble charging this scooter, I question whether they're using an appropriate charger/cable. There is a charger and cable included with the scooter, but I've tried it with a different set as well, and they both work great. Keep in mind that the charger has to have an output of at least 60W as clearly stated in the manual and your cable must also be capable of carrying 60W. If you don't know, they probably aren't suitable. You can't just use the cheapo charger and cable that came with your cell phone. Other things: The app works great, I love the zero maintenance solid tires, and it has plenty of power, range and speed for our purposes. Oh, and it includes a 2 year warranty from a legit company that's going to be around for a long time. NIU is not one of those no-name Chinese brands that disappears after a year.

This is a great purchase, and especially for students at Universities/Colleges that requires UL 2272 certificate, this is certified, I just didn’t like that it came without the power adapter, so I couldn’t turned it on until a day later. If you are getting the c-c charging type then order a power adapter of 60w or more! If you do not have a power adapter of 60w or more your e scooter is never going to turn on. Also it is really easy to assemble and to use. I love it.

I got this 2 times and this charger port sucks I use multiple chargers and power adapters….and nothing came on this model of NIU electric scooter sucks

Don't buy!!! Bought this for my girl's birthday. Got it out of the box, put it together. Tried to plug it in had nothing. Tried provided charger on something else. Charger provded didn't work. Tried 65 watt charger that I had hanging around my house still didn't charge. So I guess the scooter and the charger are both junk? Confused I called niu they couldn't send me a new charger? They told me that the Don't have a charger for my scooter, that I just bought from their company and my only recourse is to return this to amazon. NIU was absolutely no help.

The scooter does not come with the back piece needed to charge the scooter. My mileage randomly decreased it once went 15 on eco and 25 on speed but now it goes 9 on eco and 15 on speed. It charges slow. it takes all night to get a full 5 bars that will be gone by the end of the day. If you are a college student like myself i’d suggest getting something different.

Range and speed isn't crazy, but gets you where you need to go. Build quality is amazing.

The build is good but it's very slow to accelerate and get to top speed. This is not an adult scooter at all. Meant for teens and my teen mentioned that sometimes while he is riding the cruise control engages even though I've checked the app and it is disengaged almost causing him to fall off a few times. Also not sure why the Bluetooth symbol is constantly flashing whether my phone Bluetooth is on or off. It will not turn off. Everytime we get home the tires are below 28 psi even though I inflate to 40 psi everytime we go out. Not sure why they keep losing air or if this is a common thing with e scooters. It has a very nice display which does not display speed something I found to be very strange. Why have a display that only blinks blue, green, red, orange and not have a speedometer. Not what I expected from a company who is supposed to be a leader in this industry even at this price point. Disappointed in this scooter.

I got this for a discount. And tbh, for 300$, this scooter is an amazing deal. Please be careful with the wheels tho as replacing them can be a pain.

This is EASILY the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced! I was thrilled to have ordered this as a gift for father's day..over a MONTH ago... only to have it arrive with no parts to put it together and no charger. They were quick to respond with my next steps via Emil however this led to roughly 4 calls & 7 emails back and forth. Every email and call reasuring me that they were investigating and finally three days ago..1 day before the 30 day return window was to expire..they told me in a call they had sent the missing parts out via UPS just 3 hrs before and provided a tracking number. This gave me much relief that I hadn't lost my 500 pluss dollars. However now UPS now says they have not even recieved the package that all NIU has done has created a lable but never handed over the package. I called customer NIU support to have them tell me ONCE AGAIN they will investigate and to please give them 5 days to find out! I have discovered through Google reviews while the product is rated well the customer service is the absolute worst! This is clearly something they do regularly from what I am now finding out. I expect in 5 days I will have to reach out to them myself only to have them repeat this same damn process again. BEYOND DISGUSTED! I would rate lower if it was possible. NIU fix this! !!!!UPDATE!!!! Finally recieved a package that STILL does not include the parts that were missing. STILL no power cord to charge, no extension bar and more. HOW can a company drop the ball at every single step?!!! Going on a month and a half with no parts. My 6 year old gives more efficient and reliable support at her lemonade stand. SEND MY PARTS!!!

Good scooter but lying when describing the tires are tubeless.
