Probably easier to assemble a working space shuttle than this, as a grown man I couldn’t even get started with this never mind a child, tiny little plastic pieces and instructions may as well be in Japanese,

Great models for your tranformer fan.
Very similar to basic Gundam, pre-painted and detailed, so they're really suitable for your young model builder and transformer fan. I have nipper tools that are sharp, so I do most of the cutting, but depending on their age and your comfort level, they can absolutely do these by themselves.
