This stuff is divine. You can't reliably find mead in shops or even in bars, and I prefer to drink at home anyway. Typically I find most alcohols to be designed purely around getting bladdered and not much around the taste. Mead is a lot different - there's a small kick, but it rapidly gives way to a smooth, sweet taste that keeps you chugging more. One bottle and you forget all about your troubles. Two bottles and you forget about everything else!Six bottles of this stuff bought individually would cost you £100 give or take, so this is literally a buy one get one free deal - buy three, get three free! I got hooked on Mead when I first got a taste from a friend of his Loxwood Joust Tournament Mead. Since then, I just can't get enough of the stuff. Since Loxwood Joust decided to drop their dark Tournament Mead and go for the lighter and less sweet Mead, Lanchester has become my favourite brand. It is fairly heavy and with a sweet flavour that keeps you wanting more. In my view, easily one of the best sweet meads out there. Better to buy it in multiples as the cost of 6 makes each bottle nearly half the price of a single bottle.Lyme Bay Mead seems watery and bitter and tastes too much of chemicals to me, many others are watery and have too little real flavour. Don't even consider the chemical cocktail that Morrisons sell as Mead, it's really cheap and consequently, nasty.If you want a good sweet Mead, Lanchester is the one you should try. So far, none of my friends who have tasted it said they don't like it. Several have asked where I got it so they can get some.

Lanchester mead is the best mead you can get, and I've tried quite a few including fancy expensive ones. Reasonably priced and delicious. Doesn't give me a hangover which is amazing. Absoloutely delicious with food. Sweet and strong. I love honey I love mead. Having a break from alcohol for health reasons but looking forward to pouring a glass in a couple weeks. Try it in a handmade mug for a cool ancient vibe like king Arthur or Lord of the rings. I have no clue why mead isn't more popular, must be a conspiracy! Lol. Drink responsibly. Then make love.

As the title says really. I have been a mead drinker for many years and have favoured a similar traditional recipe brand until recently. Their price went up to over £14/750ml so I looked round and found Lanchester. I wish I had discovered it years ago. Lovely honey flavour with no of the over-sweet sickliness or sharpness in the throat you get from many others. At 14.5% alc it competes with the more expensive brands without losing the smoothness of flavour that is inherent in higher alcohol content meads. Love it. Another order going in very soon!

Very good mead, not too sweet. ordered without trying before, and actually preferred it to the Lyme Bay mead that I usually buy!

Great taste and good value. I tried this instead of my usual Christmas tipple as it was a fair bit cheaper, really can't tell much difference. Got a few bottles for me and few for presents. Delivery was fast and well packaged, delivered by royal mail.
