Too complicated
I have a degree in Computer Information and hardware. I tried many times to set this up. First it busted two gel caps and ruined the other pills in the dispenser. I had to take it apart and clean then it kept hanging other capsules. It would skip over slots. Sometimes it would not dump the pills. Most of the time the bluetooth would disconnect. After trying for over a month we decided to return the thing and go back to a manual 4 times a day dispenser. I really wanted this to work and I have never had so much trouble with a smart device. I have setup and built many computers, thermostats, smart lights, bluetooth radios. I can not recommend this.

Don’t hesitate just get it. It’ll be worth it.
Beautifully put together. Works with your phone with an app. You can put in their names of your medication‘s. When each alarm goes off, it tells you all the medication’s that you should be receiving. You can change the times at any time you want to. And you can turn the alarms off. You can even hit next to go to the next one and it will dispense the pills. It’s easy to put together. You just open up the shell and clean the wall lining and then place it back in and fill in your pills. Once you lift the thing that holds the individual pills do not move or lift up the individual pill divider if you lift it you will have all the pills go all over the place. it works absolutely great. I can’t see it anymore. I’ve had five of these different brands different kinds and this is the one I love the most and I’m on over18 medication’s.

Would not buy the same one but love the idea of it
I turned it off since I was leaving for the weekend and didn't want to take the whole device. Ever since then it's been acting up, that was about 2 weeks ago now. The alarm is supposed to go off at 5:30, it doesn't go off until after 10. And initially when I turned it back on it said something about to much use and meds will not be dispensed until the next scheduled time. It won't connect back with my phone either. But prior to this, it worked great.Figured i would come back. After reconnecting it. It still doesn't work. Keeps saying the button will be disabled until the next alarm. But yet no one has touched it and i haven't been able to get my meds from it and several days hoping it would get back on track. Granted I have whats in my 90 day supply bottles but the purpose of this thing was to make life a little easier. It truly seems like a waste of the money at this point. I'll probably just start opening the top and taking my meds out that way.

User-Friendly Medication Management
I got this pill dispenser for my father who often forgets his medication. The idea was to simplify his daily routine and help him stay on track. Setting it up was fairly straightforward, especially with the step-by-step instructions. I love that I can customize the reminder messages. Hearing a familiar voice definitely makes it feel more personal and engaging for him. The design makes it easy for him to access his pills without having to lift or move anything heavy, which is super helpful for his arthritis. The smartphone connectivity is a nice touch too, allowing me to monitor everything from my phone. However, there were a few hiccups. Sometimes it doesn’t release larger pills as it should, which can be frustrating. The Bluetooth connection can be tricky and needs fine-tuning in the beginning. While it's a big help, it requires a bit of tech knowledge, which some might struggle with. It took some time for him to get used to, but now he really relies on it for his daily meds.Pros:- Easy access for seniors and those with mobility issues.- Customizable voice reminders feel more personal.- Allows for tracking medication through an app.- Good security features with fingerprint access.Cons:- Occasionally has trouble dispensing larger pills.- Bluetooth connection may be unreliable at times.- Initial setup can be challenging for those unfamiliar with technology.

A couple small hiccups but good overall
This smart pill dispenser is perfect for seniors, especially those with dementia or memory problems. It’s also a great option for people dealing with addiction, as it uses a fingerprint reader to limit access to meds. Plus, it’s a nice safety feature for families with young children to keep them from getting into the medication(s).It helps track medication use over time, but requires a free smartphone app called Pillfinder (available for both Android and Apple) that keeps everything on track. The only catch is that the app requires a smartphone and Bluetooth (4.0 and up), so the medication-user might need a bit of help from a caregiver or family member to set things up. After that, though, it should be easy to use, though some might still find it a bit tricky. The fingerprint reader adds a nice layer of security, but it can sometimes be finicky if your fingers are dirty or wet (or if you're like me and just can’t get fingerprint scanners to work, no matter what). Luckily, there are spare keys as a backup. The app also lets caregivers keep an eye on how the user is doing with their meds, which gives peace of mind and security as well as improving the chances that the medication user follows their medication regimen. One feature I really like is the customizable voice reminders, where family members can leave personal messages instead of just the usual alarm (3 alarm sounds come pre-set). This makes it much harder to ignore or miss. The carousel features 31 medication slots, allowing for a great deal of medication to be put inside and clearing up pill bottle clutter. An added bonus is that this device is FDA-cleared and rigorously tested, which makes me feel better about relying on it to ensure that essential medications aren't being skipped. We've had a few technical difficulties, but nothing major. The main one was the issue of one or more pills getting stuck and not releasing into the tray (not a regular problem, but something that happened once or twice). It makes me concerned about knowing if the full amount of medication has been taken if I'm not around to see it. It's really not a major problem, and I think it only happens because there are some oddly shaped pills that could get caught up on each other more easily than standard circular or even oval medications. This dispenser was a little frustrating to deal with at first after it was all set up. It got jammed a couple of times on a pill that got stuck on the way into the tray and once or twice it advanced but didn't release the pills. Hopefully the issues were just a glitch that won't come back because I don't want my elderly mom to have to deal with being frustrated with this dispenser and/or refusing to use it because it's "too complicated", even if I am her caregiver and will be available 24/7 to help. The biggest downside to me, other than the requisite smartphone and some tech knowledge, is the unit's size. It's not the smallest thing and while it eliminates the mess and hassle of having to deal with a whole slew of medication bottles, it may very well take up more space than the bottles did.
