Why did you pick this product vs others?: Price was cheaper than other sites and quality seems to be just as good. Item arrived when scheduled and installation was simple.

Ordered as replacement for 35year old locks. These fit perfectly and I really like the little lever/handle to lock the bolt in place. My old ones had the slide type to open and close which always broke a fingernail.

This are nice little bolts - not too thick, so you don't have to mortise your door that much. If you live in a "sketchy neighborhood", they may be too lightweight to keep intruders out. I used them on French doors that were "interior", so this is not an issue for me.

Pretty easy to install, even with almost zero experience! Because of the shape of the latch, you basically just need to carve out a rectangular cube, which is a lot easier than some of the alternatives and makes it more DIY friendly. Didn’t do the best job in making that rectangle, but it still turned out great! My door feels solid now!
