A tongue cleaner? Why? To remove plaque and yuck from the tongue! I find it makes my mouth feel less sour, and food has a bit more flavor. My breath is less stinky even if I eat onions and garlic. This is a plastic tongue cleaner. It's a bit wide for my mouth, so not for most kids or young teens. It has different "scraper" angles on each side of the loop. You want to feel the scraper edge as you pull it gently across your tongue. You don't have to press hard unless you want to. You will be amazed at the yuck that comes off. I wipe or rinse mine between each "scrape", and of course, rinse thoroughly after use. The handle opens for storing small picks or those interdental brushes. The end doesn't have a cover, so traveling with it loose could spell disaster. But in a dopp bag or the like is fine. I keep mine in my "dental stuff" bag with things for my Invisalign. This plastic tongue scraper works quite well.

The SleepRight tongue cleaner is designed to store your travel dental supplies in one spot. It opens and is intended to store some of your travel supplies all within the handle. I'm not sure how helpful this is. Your supplies will need to be small enough to fit in the contoured case. I use toothpaste tabs so they fit no problem but I'm not entirely sure a travel toothpaste would fit in there. The scraper itself though is just ok. The large handle makes it comfortable to hold but I find the plastic scraper to be almost too round - it just doesn't work as well as the metal ones. You can work and get a descent enough angle and scraping with it but it's not stellar. In a pinch it works great. This is one of those things that I feel is trying to solve a problem that's not really there. Really, any tongue scraper can be travel - they just don't take up much room.

Just received my two pack of SleepRight tongue cleaner and scraper. My old tongue cleaner was getting old and this scraper looked interesting to me. Plus you get two, so my husband gets a new cleaner, too. I washed the new tongue cleaner, brushed my teeth normally, then used this scraper. It seemed to clean as well as my old brush. It felt good when I was finished, and my tongue looked clean. I am pleased with this cleaner and highly recommend.

So, I tried the SleepRight Tongue Cleaner Scraper Two Pack, and here’s my honest take: something about it makes me gag. Maybe it’s just my super sensitive gag reflex, but this thing isn't my best friend. You may not have the same problem, but I have to mention this. I’ll stick with my trusty stainless steel ones, because I can toss them in the dishwasher and feel like they're staying cleaner and more hygienic. Nothing really special about this cleaner, except for the nifty slot for the travel toothbrush. I mean, it’s a tongue cleaner, not a magic wand. Gets the job done, but I'll stick with the old-fashioned ones I've bought for years.

I found these SleepRight Tongue Cleaner Scrapers to be very bulky because of the built-in storage compartment and the plastic construction of the scraper. I think that the plastic material requires this product to be much thicker for it to be strong enough and that just makes it much bulkier feeling in my mouth than the metal scrapers that I am used to. The end result is that the handle with built in storage is very thick and so is the scraping portion. I can store about 6 of my Plackers flossers in the handle of this tongue cleaner, which is handy. However, after receiving and using these tongue cleaners I found that they felt very clunky and uncomfortable. There are no quality problem with this product, and they work well for tongue scraping, but I've decided that I just can't abide the overall bulk of these and I'll be sticking with my old style metal tongue scrapers.

For me, this would only be taken with me for travel and then toss after using it. It does a great job scraping your tongue but I didn’t like that it would got my teeth off not used right. The plastic is hard and you can’t get the sides of your tongue easily without hitting your teeth. I prefer the ones that you can squeeze and make it larger or smaller. Overall, these were not what I expected.

I like these 2 pack of tongue scrapers mostly because they are made of plastic. I am a dental hygienist and I really don't like to see metal tongue scrapers, they are so aggressive and can easily damage the tongue. The tongue is actually very sensitive and can easily be hurt, this plastic is much better and safer. Plaque and bacteria do collect on the tongue mostly causing bad breath, tongue scrapers and brushing your tongue is the best defense. These scrapers work well and have a nice storage included for floss picks or gum picks. Great for home, travel, work and the car!

For approximately $11, you can purchase two Tongue Cleaner Scraper sets. These plastic-made implements are uncertain in their durability and potential for breaking during use. Nonetheless, I will maintain a spare in my travel bag for convenience. The handle features a small compartment designed to store floss or other small items. However, it is important to note that the seal is not particularly effective, allowing water to enter the compartment. I intend to utilize this tool to maintain my Soft-Picks.
