The Lalaloopsy™ were once rag dolls who magically came to life when their very last stitch was sewn. Each doll has their own personality that comes from the fabrics used to make them. Marina Anchors™ was made from a sailor's uniform. She's super neat, and she always keeps everything ship shape. She also loves the ocean, even though she can't swim. She has a pet whale. The hair is squishy, head and limbs are wobbly. They have a round and hard torso. The face is hard too. I am a bit on the fence about the Lalaloopsy dolls. Here are the aspects that I think should be taken into consideration: Negative: -they're pricey -they smell of plastic -they're a bit heavy -the clothes aren't that durable -the paint on the hair and face could be smudged on some of the dolls(MGA's quality control isn't the best regarding face prints) Positive: -they're very cute and funny when they wobble -they have a friend like presence, being so big -they're very durable -the boxes are very well made(so much so, opening them is tricky) -they are really sought after -the poster is a nice touch -they have a fun backstory for kids to get involved in (lalaloopsy dot com is a well made website) I would recommend these dolls, cause they don't require special care and they certainly have a novelty factor. If you buy them online and they come with paint smudges on their faces you could file them off, at least partially, with superfine sandpaper previously wet in water. They can be put underwater, the only thing is some water might get stuck in the head and it could take a day or two to slowly come out. Overall I like the variety of colurs and styles they came up with and I think most girls would really love them. Mini Lalaloopsy and accessories are another craze to get into, but as big as the full sized version is (13") as tiny the minis are (3"), so a completely different kind of toy. As much fun as the minis are, I think that little girls who fall in love with the big ones are better off one who is really big, instead of few little ones.

So sweet
The Lalaloopsy dolls are just magnificent. They are so reminiscent of the old "Rag Dolls" that I used to play with as a young girl. They are plastic, but don't let that fool you into thinking they aren't lovable. They are precious. Lalaloopsy Marina Anchors is just perfect in her little sailor's outfit and matching whale. She just brings a smile to my face! I have purchased a few of these for Christmas presents for my 4 year old niece as well as for my 6 year old niece. Both girls love these cuties. They are very durable, have clothes and accessories that can be purchased for each doll as well as Lalaloopsy chapter books and coloring books. They are also incredible to have for a daycare setup since they are SO EASY to lysol clean and disinfect. I think they are perfect for little imaginations...almost a flashback to the 50's when all the girls loved their little dolls with button eyes and single line smiles! Don't hesitate to purchase these dolls for your little ladies!

LALALOOPSY HEAVEN
THIS WAS ONE OF FOUR LALALOOPSY DOLLS THAT I PURCHASED FOR MY FOUR GRAND-CHILDREN THIS CHRISTMAS. I GAVE THE MARINA ANCHORS DOLL TO MY 1 1/2 YEAR OLD GRAND=DAUGHTER, SHE JUST LOVED IT! THESE DOLLS SEEM VERY DURABLE, ARE MADE VERY COLORFUL AND ARE CUTE IN A FUNNY LOOKING KIND OF WAY. I HAVE NOTICED THAT MANY ADULTS ARE SPIKING UP THE PRICES OF THESE DOLLS DUE TO THEIR POPULARITY, THAT IS TOO BAD. I WAS LUCKY TO GET MINE FOR REASONABLE PRICES ON AMAZON. THE FAD OF LALALOOPSY MAY NOT LAST BUT THE JOY THEY ARE BRINGING MY GRAND-KIDS WILL.
