Buffalo Games Charles Wysocki Whistle Stop 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle, Poster

At first I thought I was going to return this. I was planning to hang it next to another puzzle and the box photo didn't look like it would match and the image might be blurry. I decided to open the box. The poster inside seemed to have an over abundance of orange. But when I looked at the puzzle pieces themselves I knew it would go perfectly. Muted shades where appropriate, vibrant where it should be. The sky has a lot of purple in it, which is what I was hoping for. Pieces are traditional shapes and do not come in a bag. They are sturdy and do not fit overly tight or loose. I can tell there will be some false fits, but I'll just have to watch for them. Puzzle poster does not show full puzzle, the right hand side is missing 3-4 inches of the puzzle. Bummer. I was tempted to take a star off for this, but the box image shows that portion so I can live with it. I think this will be a medium difficulty puzzle, and I can't wait to finish it and hang it. Charles Wysocki art puzzles are always a pleasure to work. I'd give this as a gift without hesitation.

I just love Charles Wysocki's art and puzzles. His art is old time but modern, country-ish but ciry-ish and his colors are muted-ish but also bright and vibrant without being bright ,& vibrant lol, make sense?? All in all, I love his artwork the puzzles are amazing because the pieces are thick and well fitting. Yes there are some weirdo shaped ones but not too many, just enough to make it interesting and challenging. I think we have done over 30 of his puzzles now. After we do them, if I like the picture so much, we will glue it & have it framed and hung in our entertainment room or we will donate them to Goodwill. Even if you kinda jam a piece in and it doesn't fit, when you pull the piece out, the tips don't bend or start coming apart. Definitely a quality puzzle from an amazing artist. I have never ever had a puzzle with any missing pieces.

From chaos to order. Beautiful finish. This puzzle was a fun challenge. Sturdy pieces that fit well. An outstanding value.

Colors vibrant and most important all the pieces were there. Enjoyed putting together and not too difficult assembling however the trees were most difficult for me. I had 5-6 pieces placed in the wrong place and thought that I had puzzle pieces missing. Took some time to find my mistakes but it was worth staying with the puzzle. Enjoyed putting it together and would recommend. Buffalo Games Charles Wysocki are my favorite.

I have a number of these puzzles and they are always excellent.th4e pieces lock together well. One of the challenging features of these puzzles is that more than one piece can fit into places. That can make you crazy. You can choose how difficult you'd like it to be by the photo on the box. The one I bought this time has 19th Century sailing ships, a good challenge.

Love these puzzles. I only buy Wysocki because I love his nostalgic scenes. I will admit that Buffalo Games is not quite the quality it used to be, but good enough. Quality of cardboard pieces. Pretty thin. Still buy them though because there is always something new for me.

Nothing beats a Charles Wysocki puzzle! I am a big puzzle lover and I have a great collection of all kinds, but I always love the folk art style made by a real person and wistful look back at an America of the past. They don’t have a code on the back, but really you don’t need it, these aren’t super hard, and they do have puzzle dust, but these are well made and worth it. The art is fun and uplifting and I save them and do them again. I have some that are 15 years old and still good. There’s always a flag, a horse, some signs,and those round trees, and I think he adds details to make the solving fun.

A difficult puzzle but satisfying. EXCEPT: 3 extra pieces from different puzzles. Two were much larger. Frustrating to not be able to complete. Kind of sloppy. Otherwise five stars.

I only buy buffalo puzzles. They are very good quality. I collect Wysocki puzzles. They’re awesome!
