The box says that this is the 'light and sound model' with batteries included but there aren't any batteries & no apparent lights or sound??

The light and sound module is a separate item that fits on the cab roof. item no. is 02801. just had a look and is currently selling for £7:20

Is it suitable for a three year old?

Hi Ffion. I would not like to say really, we have just purchased this for our 4 1/2yr old grandson for christmas, it is well made and looks great fun to play with. but a little complicated in areas where the legs have to be pulled out to keep it stable when loading the crane. I hope this helps
