Molly's Orchid Potting Mix Chunky Soil-Free for Indoor Orchids 5 Dry Quarts

Got a couple orchids as a gift, you know the potting mix-compacted sphagnum moss or compacted chips and a soil plug. They were failing. Bought this mix and some hole-y orchid pots and went to work cleaning the roots and replanting. Orchids are perky and healthy now with new roots and spikes coming out, i even repotted a blooming one without issue and it's thriving. Highly recommend, however don't make my mistake. Shake that bag well before setting in to repot, heavy chunks settle to the bottom and it isn't mixed well on arrival but that's normal, nice weight to it.

I have multiple Orchids and they do need to be repotted at times, due to refreshing old mix or to expand. I like this mix as it is a good mixture of larger and smaller pieces to allow good drainage. It is about the best I have found. Pic is one of them just starting their bud stem.

Too little product for way too much money. VERY GREEDY source. It’s easy to get and assemble the materials; and have 10 times the amount for the GROSSLY inflated price of this tiny portion.

Excellent mix! I use the orchid mix on all my philodendron, monsteras, and a few orchids. I've purchased the aroid mix before, but I thought it was too chunky for my aroids and seemed to be mostly coconut husk (even way down in the bag!) This mix has so many beneficial ingredients and my plants are absolutely thriving. I always shake it up and turn it upside down for a couple days before I open it because it does settle quite a bit. Sometimes I'll add a small amount of sphagnum moss for water retention. By far the best pre mixed potting mix.

I have a few orchids that I had repotted with another orchid blend and found that my orchids were having trouble. I then search for what could be the best orchid medium I could use for my babies. I came across Molly's orchid potting mix and have to say the reviews are spot on and so happy I got it. I did not repot my orchids right away as I was also waiting for the pots with holes to come in. I received Molly's orchid mix on November 10th 2025 and it might have been a week later when I got to repotting all my orchids. The orchid I have in the photo is a new flower stalk about 4 weeks after repotting my orchid with Molly's orchid mix, amazing medium for orchids that for me, it is worth the price. The other orchids are doing exceptionally well with new air/bottom roots coming in as the old medium was causing fungus issues they did not have before repotting with that medium. Overall very happy with Molly's orchid blend, however the value is a tad high I will continue to buy it until the value exceeds my wallet, then I will have to make my own.

Perfect for this novice! I've been propagating cuttings in water and wanted to pot many... so this provides the perfect foundation to transition those roots to soil PLUS nutrients. My plants are happy, and so am I.

Orchids have grown on me. From rescuing one at my place of work, I now hold 10. This potting mix is simply amazing, I don't have to worry about overwatering and I can see my orchids developing a lot of new roots.

Waiting on my orchid to drop its last 4 blooms before repotting. This is a good mix and will hopefully keep my orchid happy.
