Lije the sand but as often is the case the shipping sucked! The bag of sand weighs 20 lbs andvthey shipped it inna box with 10 more lbs of items. That is too much for one box and especially as I am disabled with a recent shoulder reconstruction surgery. I put the sand in a deep pot and put that inna much larger pot in my sink. The outer pot was in case any sand escaped the smaller pot as I rinsed about 4 cups at a time constantly running slightly warm water while turning the sand over and over. The tank water was a bit dark for about two days and I used some anti cloud additive and it cleared pretty fast. I love how the food and poop stay on top of the sand for easy cleanup.

The sand is great and true to color and came nicely packaged! I wanted to add a river through my canyons in my betta fish tank and it looked good. (I suck at aquascaping but this is a review of the sand itself!) please no judgement on the photos. I did my best! Rinse the sand until the water is clear and you won’t have any trouble with cloudiness. I had zero problems will cloudiness and I was moving so much of it around the tank to try to make something look cool haha. Will purchase this product again. A great value and safe for fish.

Used this sand in an aquarium, mixed with natural Sugar White fine sand. It stands out for it's brightness for sure - like glowing white almost, compared to the off white of the big brand stuff. Be aware that it is a coarse grain sand, almost like a coarse salt, bigger than any beach sand I've seen. Exactly what I was looking for - no sharp edges or anything, it holds plants wonderfully, and has enough grain to allow nutrient waste to pass thru to the roots. recommended for Aquarium purposes!

It took a lot of rinseing to get all the color off.But once I added it, it really elevated the look of my aquarium

The sand is nice and soft. I forgot to rinse it before putting it into my tank, so I kept the fish out in a smaller tank. I let the filter run and did 50% water change daily. After a few days to a week, the water cleared enough to put the fish back. So far, I've put back only the strongest fish to see how they will do, and they're doing just fine. My issue is the color of the sand. I had blue stones mixed with a bit of white in my old tank, and suddenly, the new tank with this substrate is dull and brownish. The water is clear, but the reflection is brown and dull. I don't like it. The quality is 100%, yet the reflection it gives is not to my liking. I would recommend buying the white.

Horrible product. The sand feels nice but there is SO MUCH paint in it, you have to wash this way too many times before use. The water will look like strawberry milk for the first 10 washes until it SLOWLY becomes less and less. I think I washed this sand for over an hour and was sore after. I stuck to it because my daughter desperately wanted an all-pink fish tank and this was the only product I found. once all washed and tank cycled, the water tested fine but I lost all fish for a few rounds of new fish until I tossed the sand. looks nice but not for tanks with fish, they'll all die.

Very dusty and dirty, looks like a broken glass. Big segments and very dirty!!!!!!
