Laki Naturals Throat Soak Bundle (Lozenges + Mint Sea Salt Gargle & Rinse)

This is a combo pack with a 4.6oz pack of throat soak powder and a 2.22oz pack of 14 sugar free throat lozenges. The powder is a natural throat gargle for soothing sore or dry throat, and supporting overall oral health. I like the natural approach with its herbal ingredients such as Chamomile, Echinacea, peppermint, Zinc, and Hawaiian Sea Salt. It’s basically a high quality salt rinse for killing bacteria, and drawing moisture to the throat. It works quite well, but I’m just not sure about the high price for something as small as this. I suppose there are individuals in need of a high end product for throat clearing, such as a singer. But for the average person, I can’t say there’s much in the budget for buying this regularly. And I’d say the same about the lozenges, I enjoy them but just not of them included for me to order them again. The ingredients include: Isomalt, Organic Stevia, Lemon Lime Flavor, Citric Acid, Sunflower Oil, Echinacea, Horehound, Zinc, Mullein, Sea Salt, Pink Himalayan Salt, Turmeric. I’ll point out that these are sugar free so no worry about tooth decay. The seeetness comes in form of Isomalt (a type of sugar alcohol) and Stevia (from leaves of Stevia rebaudiana plant). This Laki Naturals Throat Soak Bundle incorporates two methods of relieving throat pain. The first is a sea salt gargle & rinse, with echniacea & mint. Mix one scoop of solution with 4-6 ounces of warm water & allow it to dissolve. Gargle & spit. The second are herbal throat lozenges. The flavor is lemon lime, and there is a slight hint of lemon flavoring, but mostly I taste herbs & salt. It is no unpleasant. Both products are made in the USA. The throat soak doesn't seem effective to me, as gargling offers limited results, and all you need to use for regular gargling is sea salt & warm water. The lozenges taste okay to me. I like the square shape of them. They only have 10 calories, which is great. The package says to limit your intake to 3 per day, but I'm not sure why, as there are no obvious medications in the ingredients list. There are 14 lozenges in the package. So my recommendations are: Save yourself a ton of money and gargle with sea salt & water. Basic throat lozenges can be purchased for a few dollars as well. I feel like this is way overpriced for what it is. I do like the lozenges. They are simply way overpriced.

It was very convenient to have these as I developed a sore throat and other head cold-like symptoms. The gargle was easy to use and has a nice smell and taste for me (always useful when you're not feeling well). One batch might be able to last you a few uses depending on how many times you gargle and how much you use. I found some relief after using it in most cases and chose to use it several times (I HATE sore throats). The lozenges are a unique shape and size being a thinner, longer rectangle. They last comparably long to any other lozenge. It's hard to compare efficacy, but I liked using them with the sore throat especially.

These did come at an opportune time for me as I was having repeated issues with dental work, a major tooth extraction, and new partial dentures on both upper and lower portions, so that I was already constantly doing warm salt water rinses per the dentist's instructions. Not sure what people expect from any given product, but for what I was needing them for, they were great. I absolutely was using the gargle rinse at least three or four times a day and am still using it. Some people are off-put by the looks of the various herbal bits in the rinse. Not me. I welcome them as a sign that I am getting more than just salt. The fact that it is Hawaiian salt? I guess that's nice, but they could put just about any old salt in there and I'm not sure I could tell a difference where it came from. My mixture was also maybe a little more intense than the suggested dose, but again, I was desperate to soothe the wounds in my mouth. I think it did the trick. As for the lozenges, I think any old hard candy is just as effective for soothing a throat as any high-priced, supposedly all natural and organic lozenges. So where does that leave us? My opinion is that the gargle was great, the lozenges so so. All of it of course was at a price that is out of my league ever again. But I still highly recommend it, especially if you have some serious, ongoing issues like I am. Hope this is helpful...

I used this product as directed on the package. It was next to impossible to get it to completely dissolve, even after stirring with a spoon multiple times. The moment I sipped it I could tell this product was overly salty. Yes, you want something salty to soothe your throat, but this was overpowering. I would suggest using far less powder and more water than the directions indicate. The lozenges don't seem like anything special. At this price I would just tell you to gargle with plain old salt.

As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I have been coming upon a number of luxury health products recently, like this throat-soothing double pack of lozenges and gargle powder. Both seem to achieve their goals of soothing your throat, but at what I consider a VERY high price! In fact, I think even Elon Musk would be shocked at the diminutive packages of lozenges and powder that arrived. For $30 (currently), you get -- are you ready? -- 14 lozenges (count 'em), plus 4.6 ounces of powder. Compare that to Ricola cough drops -- effective and tastier than these -- which give you 50 lozenges for $5. As for throat gargle -- have you ever tried salt in warm water? It works just as well as this powder -- and costs pennies on the dollar. But if regular salt doesn't float your boat -- if you MUST have Hawaiian sea salt from Molokai -- then by all means give this combination product a try...

They work well, but are pretty comparable to all of the other products on the market. I used them both when I was sick and when I was feeling fine just to compare. The soak is definitely effective- when I wasn’t sick I used the recommended amount and the salt was definitely way stronger than when I have made a basic salt water rinse in the past. I’m not sure if this is because of the types of ingredients that are used, or simply because of the ratio that they recommend, but either way I would say that it is effective and made a big difference when I was sick. Overall, I would say the soak is slightly better than the typical table salt diy. The lozenges have a weak flavor and are pretty small. I don’t really think they did much but to help calm a coughing fit, which is standard for pretty much every lozenge I’ve tried before. I have yet to see one reinvent the wheel and this is no exception. What they really end up coming down to is personal taste, and while I was fine with this one it isn’t my favorite, so I probably wouldn’t try the lozenge again. I think overall it’s a good product, but I would also be completely fine with choosing a more affordable alternative, so I would say if it’s decent but not investment-worthy unless the weak lemon flavor fits your personal taste.

This Laki Naturals Throat Soak Bundle is great for improving oral health. The sea salt rinse has a very pleasant chamomile scent, and dissolves without issue. The taste is salty, as expected, with just a hint of mint. After using it, my mouth feels hydrated and refreshed. I like how there's solution leftover, which allows for repeat sessions to be had throughout the day. While the quantity of the herbal lozenges is slightly disappointing, their quality is excellent. The lemon-lime flavor is sweet, with a light citrus note. Lastly, I appreciate the fact that both products are made in the USA. Highly recommended!
