Easy to lift. I like the rubber. Looks great. No sharp edges.

Good option to save a little. They do kinda smell like burnt rubber. Seems to fade after a couple weeks

The plates arrived at different times, but all on time, before the delivery date. Very well packaged. The oil everyone is taking about was minimal. I kind of wish a few plates had more, the center ring of a few looked mildly tarnished. The rubber seems a bit softer than I expected. It is not a harder surface like all of my other plates, (NEXO, IRONCRUSH.) This is a bit of a concern, since these will take scratches and possible other damage over time. I easily could put a scratch mark with just my fingernail. Other plates are much harder, and yes they were also virgin rubber. These kind of have a burned tire smell, but it is not bad at all. But, some black residue is coming off the plates. I did give them a quick wipe down when unpacking. They look really nice. I see no real defects. On the thinner plates, the centers do seem a bit off center+ flush on one side, slightly sunken on the other.) Overall, I am satisfied so far, but I haven't really put them into much yet, as I have just unpacked them. Only issue I am not really liking is the soft surface finish compared to other bumper plates. I hope they hold up over time. Changed from 4 stars to 2. Hadn't opened them all. Center bore on #25 is badly gouged. This will damage my equipment. Sold by Amazon, but being directed to CAP website, which is a broken link... App is crashing when I try to upload photo. I will try after I update the review. Let the hassle begin... Found a #55 plate .. same thing. Gouged center bore... We are going down to 1 star... I will update if this is made right... Buyer beware! Message sent to CAP with supporting evidence. If replacements are not sent ASAP, Amazon will be getting the entire set sent back. CAP is now telling me they could not verify the tracking number I gave them. I have now sent them all 9 tracking numbers, the Amazon order number, and a copy of the receipt. If there is no resolution by the weekend, (2 days,) I have no choice but to send all 370# back. If CAP won't resolve this, I hope Amazon will step in and make it right, since it is sold by Amazon. I will update if anything changes.

For the price, these are pretty awesome. I have had bumper plates by Vulcan, as well as iron plates from Rogue, Titan, and Bells of Steel. These plates look and feel great. I only have one concern, which is both of my 45’s appear to be discolored on one side, almost looking sun faded. Otherwise, I’m very happy. I already used them for a test workout.

The colored plates seem like an extravagance until you use them. The colors make it much easier to grab the right plate and get the bar loaded quickly. Do the all black plates (like the Pro or Elite versions) work? Yes. They're just a bit less convenient. I ended up paining the Pro set numbers to make the weights easier to see. I'll stay with the Competition colored version in the future. You pay the higher price (annoying), but they are easier to use for every workout.

They look great, the weight is point, they came packaged very well and neat, I mean it’s a great purchase overall. They do smell kinda funky. But I’m sure the smell it’s gonna go away after airing them out and wiping them off.
