RYO Strengthen & Volume Shampoo - Rice Peptide, Ginseng, Caffeine 16 Fl Oz.

I rarely write reviews for my Amazon purchases. RYO deserve one. This shampoo was different from the first time I used it. I enjoy gentler sophisiticated scents. RYO is SCENTED, but not once it's rinsed & styled. It dissapates. What really stands out is the HYDRATION, SHINE, AND ZERO FALL. I didn't use a conditioner the first time. There was zero hair in my drain. I attribute this to the formula that creates less friction. Today was my second time using. I had little hair fall and I conditioned with my Milbon Mask lower ends only. My hair is not reacting to humidity, it looks beautifully hydrated, and the SHINE! This is a keeper. No more Shu U or Oribe.

I absolutely loved this shampoo! My hair is very oily, and it left it feeling so clean, light, and bouncy. My hair hasn’t felt this soft and free for such a long time! I’m really happy with it and will definitely keep using it.

Highly recommend RYO products I have curly hair and it makes it so clean. It smells so good. I found the conditioner at TJ Maxx for $10.99 and I had to find the shampoo through here because they didn’t have a set but I am searching because I prefer to pay the less than the $18 overall it’s an amazing product works great for my fine thin curls

The bottle was packed in a paper package envelope along with another purchase without a seal or separate bag to protect it from leaking! Once I opened the package, the fragrance was so strong that I’m not sure I can stand using this product without getting a headache. I’m disappointed bc I really want to try this shampoo. However, I’m very curious on how it will perform on my hair. I may report later for an updated review if I decide not to return it. Update Review 12/28: (Changed star rating to 4, took one star off because of the shipping/packaging issue) I have now used this shampoo several times and have to say, it performs well on my hair and scalp. This is the first product that has not made my scalp itchy and “achey” after one day of shampooing my hair. It’s really gentle on my scalp. The fragrance was not as bad as I stated in my previous review. If anything, it’s quite pleasant, reminds me of lychee. As far as hair fall, I’ve definitely noticed less fall in the shower after use. I think the shampoo I was using before (a popular one that is recently getting bad reviews for change of formulation due to the co. getting bought out) had so many ingredients that my scalp did not like at all, but this product is gentle and lives up to what it claims. I’m pretty satisfied with the brand also, I may purchase the conditioner next. However, I want to reiterate again to please use better packaging when shipping to avoid leakage.

This shampoo made my hair fall out SOOO bad. 75 percent of my hair is gone. From three separate hair wash days. I’m devastated it took me soo long to find out the culprit. I was using this shampoo for the third time and I could FEEL my scalp releasing the hair. To this day my hair is still shedding. (It’s been 2weeks) I’m. Devastated. I HATE this shampoo. HATE this brand. HATE. I should have NEVER tried something new. My hair was soo beautiful. Gone now. If you’re going to buy - DONT.

This shampoo is absolutely amazing. It cools your scalp, smells heavenly good, and a little goes a long way. I also noticed my hair got thicker and more dense since I’ve started using it about 2 months ago. My only wish - they had the same fabulous body wash, especially for the hot summer. I wash my hair every day and I absolutely love it.

I’ve been using this shampoo since April 2025, and overall I haven’t noticed a major difference in my hair. I have an oily scalp and chose this shampoo because I wanted something that would help control oil without completely drying out my scalp. The first time I used it, it actually left my scalp feeling quite dry, but using a hydrating conditioner afterward helped balance that out. The label says to “strength,” but I didn’t really see those results. I also have thin hair and was hoping it would help make my hair feel thicker and reduce oiliness. While it didn’t noticeably thicken my hair, it does help manage oil. Overall, it works for controlling oil, but I recommend pairing it with a moisturizing conditioner so your hair and scalp don’t feel dried out.

I was pleasantly surprised at the fragrance! It’s not overwhelming or overly floral/fruity. It’s a nice, clean scent that I feel is unisex and mixes well with your natural scent. After the first wash, I did notice my hair had more volume and shine. It was light and bouncy after only air drying! I have oily hair and issues with volume, and I don’t use conditioner, so I usually never get the shine. One pump goes a long way. I am 5’7 and my hair is down to my hips, so pretty long. For the price, I do believe that you are getting quality and quantity. Honestly, I really love this shampoo and more than likely will purchase again!

Has a ginseng smell, but it leaves no residue, and hair doesn't dry out. Helps slightly with itchy scalp.

this shampoo made me break out in hives after two uses, i’m not allergic to anything but this made me get a very bad reaction. 0/5 i would not recommend
