We had to get this for a family member during their surgery recovery and was a very good decision. The sturdiness, comfort, lightweight yet extremely secure, and well manufactured raised toilet seat was a blessing. Make sure you have the leg raise buttons popped out their holes if you’ve never had to put something like this together before just as an fyi. Very reasonably priced as it’s probably the only one you’ll ever need to buy. It’s easy to size properly to your needs. I highly recommend this toilet seat.

This riser was purchased to facilitate post surgery recovery at home. It took 15 minutes to construct and customize, based on the available space in our bathroom. All parts are lightweight and well made. Rubber handles and leg ends have made the unit stationary and safe.

I bought this as an elevated toilet seat to fit over top of the existing bathroom toilet bowl while recovering from back surgery. It's sturdy and well made. The cushioned seat is comfortable, but sticks to your skin as perspiration builds up between it and your skin. The side handles are great for assisting in getting up off of the seat. The seat does fasten to the frame front and back with half circle clips. This made it impossible to swing the front of the seat up for a man to stand and pee, or for it to be raised for routine cleaning. I unscrewed the two front clips, and it held in place very well with the remaining rear clips.

This Homland product arrived quickly and well-packed. I assembled and have been using it for about a month as a bedside commode. (It can be changed easily to a raised, over-the-toilet seat.) My pros and cons below are based on this use: Pro: 1. The unit is very sturdy but lightweight. Excellent build quality. Easily cleans with a sponge or wipe. 2. The unit's height and width adjustments will accommodate most everyone. 3. The foam seat and armrests are exceptionally comfortable. 4. When used as a bedside commode, the "bucket" accepts standard sanitary inserts and liners. (See #3 below.) 5. The toilet paper bracket and magazine holder are pleasant additions, adding to the value. Con: 1. Step 1 of the assembly can be confusing. The photo in the manual is misleading; the website video is clearer. 2. In Step 4 of the assembly, the double "pins" for adding the armrests to the frame can be physically hard to press. 3. Be careful!! When used in "bedside commode mode," the sanitary liner -- a must -- can easily tear when the bucket is slid in or out to empty. (Really, the bucket slider assembly should be redesigned.)

Easy assembly, seat is “firm yet cushy”. Height adjustable to make easy on the knees when rising. Can be used bedside with poddy-pan included. Even comes with snap on toilet paper roll holder.

It fits over my bidet. It holds me up as I transfer to my knee scooter. Well worth the money.

I bought this because my toilet is LOW and I need a little help getting up using only one leg (non weight bearing on one). I liked the easy assembly with good instructions, the sturdiness of the device and the ability to make it wider for where you are sitting and the adjustable height. What I'm not a fan of is the seat and the inability to lift it up, it's attached to the base so you can't just flip it up. Normally for me that isn't a giant issue however it would be if I was using it as a commode and not a riser for my toilet. The commode lid can't be taken on your off when it's in place because to seat isn't big enough to fit it. This to me is a design flaw since I used one in my bedroom for the first weekend after foot surgery I don't want an open pit of waste in my room that I can't put it's lid on. Other than that, it seems like a good commode/toilet riser.

We are very pleased with this item. The instructions for assembly were excellent. It is very sturdy, making it easier to arise from the toilet. The handles on the sides are very secure which adds to user safety. The seat is comfortable and well braced for added safety and security.
