Yes. We have the same problem, though it is an issue that seems to come and go. It works more often than not, but it is super frustrating when it isn't working...

Has anyone used one o these on a wasp nest (with dawn dish detergent and water)? Will it shoot a good stream up to 25 feet?

It will shoot 25 feet but it's not a constant stream because there's no trigger. It shoots as the user pumps. I've never tried to take out a wasps nest with this one.

Does this super soaker shoot the farthest?

It’s okay. It’s not like the original super soakers.

Can a ywo year old usebit?

No, the pumping action would require more strength than a two year old can produce.
