What Are The Benefits Of Using This Product?

If you have heard of Valium and that it is a prescription  anti-anxiety agent then you have some idea of the similar action of Valerian Root. (Note- Valium does NOT come from Valerian root - Valium is a synthetically made prescription drug) - Valerian root has a calmer effect and is used to calm anxiety as well as it can help calm you so you'll sleep better. How much you need to take to achieve this is dependent on each person.  "Natural" products still have side effects - I personally take multiple capsule at night to promote sleep  without any problems - but in some people Valerian Root can cause headaches, upset stomach, thinking problems, daytime  drowsiness, dry mouth... basically it is considered safe for most people, but like any other herbal product it effects your body to do what you want it to do- so it can also have other effects on that same body.  I would say start with one (or open and pour out some and start with 1/2 capsule) and see the effect on you and then adjust the dose as needed. Also other Valerian root products have a smaller dose per capsule than these do. I personally like this product and it is at a good price, but you may want a lesser dose. Hope this helps.

Valerian root is a plant.  The label says that besides being non-GMO and gluten free they have no wheat, soy,artificial color, flavor, sweeteners or preservatives so I don’t know why they wouldn’t be considered vegan.

The only thing I can tell you is that the bottle says "it is carefully manufactured by Carlyle Nutritionals In NY."  Valerian Root is native to Europe.  The company has a website that you could use to contact them.
