Arteck 2.4G USB Wireless Keyboard Full Size Keyboard for Computer/PC/Laptop

After nine months of daily use, my keyboard developed an issue where several keys began outputting the wrong characters. I originally left a two‑star review because the failure was unexpected, especially for a keyboard I genuinely loved. I wasn’t looking for anything in return and had already started browsing for a replacement. Then the company reached out to let me know the keyboard carries a two‑year warranty and offered to send a new one. I gladly accepted — this was my favorite keyboard I’ve ever owned — and within a couple of days a brand‑new unit arrived at my doorstep. The combination of excellent customer service and a company that truly stands behind its product completely changed my experience. I updated my review to five stars because the support was fast, professional, and exceeded expectations. It’s rare to find a company that responds this way, and I’m genuinely impressed. -------------------------- ORIGINAL 2 STAR REVIEW BELOW. I bought this keyboard about nine months ago and initially loved it. The battery life was excellent — I only had to charge it four times despite using it daily — and it still looks brand new. Unfortunately, I returned to my office today and several keys started outputting incorrect characters. For example, pressing M types MN, pressing V types VB, and the left arrow key produces a symbol. Multiple keys are now giving the wrong output, making the keyboard unusable. For a keyboard at this price point, it’s disappointing that it didn’t last a full year. It had been my favorite keyboard to date, but due to this sudden failure, I can only give it two stars.

I really love this keyboard. It’s lightweight and the keys feel nice to use (not too clacky and the keys caps aren’t too tall, my personal preference). There’s grips on the bottom so it doesn’t budge and it’s slightly angled for comfort. What i really want to rave about is the battery life since I’ve had it last maybe 6 months or so before any charging which is insane! The connection of the keyboard is also flawless, with a small, inconspicuous USB dongle. Aside from that, Arteck offers peace of mind with their excellent customer support. I’ve had to reach out before for malfunctions of the keyboard from consistent long term use (I have a slightly rough hand so it was 3 years or so for me) and one accident (spill) and they were kind enough to send a replacement once troubleshooting didn’t work out. Warranty is for two years once your product is registered with them through a simple email and is very quick and hassle-free.

I don't typically write reviews but this seems like a good company and product. This keyboard is fairly cheap but I love it. I feels very good to me and works well. I'm 6'5 with big hands and do a lot of typing for work and my personal projects. After about a year using it the keyboard died. No drop, I hadn't charged it recently, I hadn't moved it. Nothing. It was completely unresponsive. I emailed the support contact that they put on the back of the keyboard and heard back pretty quick. They asked me to do some pretty reasonable troubleshooting and the keyboard was truly dead. I didn't ask for a replacement, I just asked if this was a common problem and if they knew a fix. They asked for my address for where to send a replacement and it showed up in a few days. I feel like it's getting harder and harder to find companies who stand behind their product and honor their warranties. And even when they do you have to fight pretty hard for it. I bought a router from ASUS around a year ago that is having a lot of problems and I just gave up after a while. I'm an electrical engineer with a background in software so I'm not an expert, but I can typically figure stuff out. I wish the first one hadn't died. Now it's just more junk in a landfill, but with electronics it happens sometimes and this company stands behind it's product. If I need another keyboard in the future I'll be coming back.

I came from using a Logitech K800 which was a very good keyboard for some time and I loved it, but then my 4 year old spilled water on it and it malfunctions when keys were pressed. I tried to fix it, disassembled it and dried it out, vacuumed it, cleaned it really good, put it all back together the next day and still a few keys were mistyping (things like backspace typed a Z). I was going to order another one but at $80+ along with reviewers stating similar things how fragile it is - keys break or you sneeze on it, it never works right afterwards... I decided to search around. I found this arteck keyboard and although I never heard of the brand I read some reviews mostly positive. Though this is only Day 1 using it, so far its pretty good. It came fully charged and it paired up easily. I was hoping my Logitech USB receiver would work with it, but it does not. Luckily I found my Logitech MX master can do Bluetooth and I was able to pair that to the computer via Bluetooth, allowing me to replace the Logitech USB nub with the new arteck one that came with this keyboard. It types pretty good and the coolest thing about it is the minimalist design and brushed aluminum bottom. It looks very good. When its turned on the LED's for things like function lock, caps lock, number lock stay lit. They have different colors and are vivid, it looks real high tech with the blue Fn Lock, Green Num lock. There are a few shortcut buttons but unfortinatly you cannot reprogram them. For example the top right most button is the desktop button that minimizes all windows so you can quickly get to your desktop. Push it again and then the windows come back where they were. If I could choose I would rather make that button bring up the windows calculator. I will miss the calculator shortcut that I used frequently with the Logitech. For now I just hit Win+R and type calc and it comes up. I'm a fast typer but still one button would have been nice. There is no palm rest but that's OK because you can always add your own silicon one, besides this keeps the keyboard portable and light. I sometimes sit it in my lap and lean back and type. I could see you using this in the living room on a media center PC or another device (like a game system or media streamer that has USB keyboard support) to make typing into fields easier. Its so lightweight and thin you could easily store it at the side of a sofa when not in use for example. I'm not sure the battery life but so far its still indicating a full charge, so that's good for a half of days work in I.T. I'm within reach of the USB ports anyway if I need to charge it. I just like the portability to tuck it away when not in use or to have it on my lap if I want to lounge in my office chair. Pros: +Attractive, minimalist, ultra thin design +Extremely lightweight +Types really well and so far has not missed any characters that I have thrown at it, even when typing fast. +The price. Wow this really undercuts the competition. No way am I going to pay more than $80 for another Logitech K800 +Warranty. 2 year warranty for a sleek attractive keyboard that costs less than $40 is a great value. Cons: -No calculator shortcut button -In fact none of the shortcut buttons can be reprogrammed or redefined -No palm rest. The Logitech K800 was pretty thin too but had a palm rest. I'll have to see how things go, but if saving space is your concern this is not a con. You can buy silicon palm rests here or any office supply store in just about any color or design you want. -Not Bluetooth or compatible with other brands USB wireless adapters (like Logitech) -Sealed battery - cannot replace, but they claim a 3 year lifespan and at the price of this keyboard and how keyboards get dirty, its probably not a bad idea to replace keyboards every 3 to 4 years anyway. -Keys are not illuminated, but on the other hand that probably saves battery life and reduces cost. -There are no fordable feet to adjust the angle. Its is what it is. Again this yields to the minimalist design. The key action did take some getting used to, but in a few hours I'm OK with it and in fact I'm typing this review on the keyboard now. I liked the action on the Logitech better but to be honest its probably because I'm used to that and have owned that keyboard for a number of years. You really can't beat this value though. Its very affordable and if it doesn't last I can buy another one and STILL be ahead of what a single Logitech cost.

This is a very good keyboard for anyone who doesn’t like cables cluttering up their desk. Installation was very fast, and the USB connection to the computer was quick and easy. The keys have a very good response, and they are low enough that my hands rest comfortably while typing. I also really like the low-profile design. The keyboard is thin and lightweight, which makes it easy to take with me when I travel. If you like a full-size keyboard but still want something portable, I definitely recommend this one. The only downside for me is that I need to recharge it about once a month or once every 3 week. I would prefer a longer battery life, but I understand that it’s probably difficult to fit a much larger battery into such a thin keyboard. It’s not a major issue, but it would be a nice improvement for a future version. Sometimes I forget to charge it and then have to stop and charge it unexpectedly. If the battery lasted longer, I would definitely buy another one for my other computer. Overall, very good. Very comfortable, lightweight, responsive, and convenient wireless keyboard.

I've had it for nearly 6 years and it has worked great! Smooth buttons and good connectivity. I noticed there were a few times where it delayed sending the characters briefly or where I pressed them and nothing was sent so I had to re-press, however that was likely around the 4 year mark and prior to then it was flawless. For about 2 weeks now it has been giving me hints it was at end of life like randomly pausing videos (ie: space/enter button being ghost-pressed). It has finally died though and now ghost-presses buttons randomly or doesn't let me send them at all and therefore buying a new one. Battery life is good and I only needed to charge it like every month or two with it always being on. I didn't take any special care of it and even dropped it on carpet like twice, plus I use the computer quite frequently, so it is definitely a worthwhile purchase.

UPDATE. i have now had this product about 6 months. I think i charged the battery about twice. i have read the reports here that some folks have key sensitivity issues. I am not sure if i have this issue or not, but I do not really care a lot. I use it a lot, and get months on each charge. Its durable. i have fallen asleep on it for instance and it still works just fine. This continues to be in my estimation a highly recommended product, and a bargain in its price range disclaimer. I was not paid to write this review. I bought this product just like everyone else. Indeed i am using my keyboard right now to type this review. This product seems to be excellent. I do have 1 question about it which I will get to in a moment. I also have 1 pet peeve about it, but its not related to the product. I use my home TV as my computer monitor, and I like a wireless keyboard due to this, then I can have my computer anywhere. My one and only complaint about this product is that some times, if i do not have a table to sit it on, it is a but strange to type with. My recently departed microsoft wireless had a small hand rest and at times this could use one. But I wont hold that against this excellent product. I do not know how long the battery will last on this, i have seen some claims of up to 6 months. It does have an on and off switch, which is less common these days. My mouse for instance has an auto powerdown if it is idle for a while. I have only owned this about a day, so i have not tested this one to see if it is similar. If not such a feature would be a nice addition, but truth be told a button is nice too. m EDIT. Upon reading answers to previous questions, the manufacturer reports that this product does go to sleep after a certain period of time. I will still use the off switch tho... better to always be sure. The range appears to be superior to my old keyboard. With that if i got more than about 5 yards from the computer, the USB would start to fail. The occasional character would drop and by about 8 yards it was pretty much pointless. Not so with this product. With this I sat as far away from my monitor as I could see it, about 10 yards from my computer, and it functions perfectly. By far the most impressive thing to be about this keyboard is its small size and lightweight design, yet it does not feel cheep. It is light as a feather, but the stainless steel back gives it a sturdy feel. i have it resting on my lap right now as I type this and its like its barely there, but it still feels solid. Also due to its light weight yet sturdy construction, its excellent for my laptop bag. This keyboard also looks nice. I know, its a keyboard. How nice can it look? This one though was made to also be visually appealing. The portions of the board beneath the keys is every thin, about like my cell phone. The battery appears to be at the top, there is a rounded end that holds up the keyboard and likely contains the battery, transmitter for the USB connection, charging port and all the other goodies that make it go. It is good that as minimization increases, more companies are starting to return a focus to aesthetic concerns, and this keyboard exceeds my expectations in this area. If you look at the image, it just looks like a flat keyboard with most of the necessary functions. And that is why i bought it... i wanted an inexpensive functional USB keyboard. I wanted a functional keyboard for a reasonable price, but it also has style points for how it looks. I expected a flat black keyboard from the image, and I did not get that. in this case, its a good thing. There are 2 minor drawbacks. Once again this wont stop me from giving 5 stars to this excellent product. The first is that the keyboard claims to be quiet. This is not the case. it is not horrid or offensive, but my now dead microsoft keyboard was 10 years old if it was a day, and was more quiet when typing. Second, the charger cable is too short. It would be great if it had about another 2 feet. My hope is that the reviews i have seen so far that this can be expected to be used for 6 months on a charge this will be minimal. For the price that was asked for it, it would be hard to find a much better product than this.

The keyboard works great... while it works. I am on my 3rd one in 5 years, so I am thinking they have a lifespan of just over 2 years. It is ergonomically comfortable, the keyboard layout is fine, the size is good, and the compatibility has never been an issue. The first one stopped working altogether; I'm not sure if it was a battery problem or what, but I was overseas, and no one could fix it. The second one: a few keys stopped working. I will see if one of the cheap electronics technicians in Cambodia can fix it. This new one is fine. I love it when it works, and if they last only two years, I guess it is worth it.

You have to think about your taste first.

Good one to replace the ordinary

UPDATED: After having issues 21months after I purchased the keyboard, I reached out to the seller and let them know. They were quick to reply and gave clear instructions to help resolve the issue. Although that didn't help, they did then issue me with a new replacement which is just amazing. They also said, the replacement is within warranty. I would strongly recommend this seller and their keyboard. =================================== Below is my original review =================================== Sorry for the overall 1 star, the only reason is that it's stopped working after 21 months with me looking after it like it's the Mona Lisa. I expected it to last way longer. I LOVED this keyboard until this week. A lot of keys are not working properly, mainly around the centre of the keyboard ('G' 'H' and the spacebar). It's never been out of my home office, never eaten/drunk over, dropped or anything. I guess it just has a shelf life of around 18-20 months (as I've seen some others saying it stopped working). It IS a great product though, aside from the issues now making me need to purchase another. Just expected it to last way longer. It's very quiet, light, slim and sleek. for the price, it was great value for money. Battery lasts for ages. I use it for work 5 days a week and do a lot of typing, I must have charged it less than 5 times easily in the whole time I've had it! Maybe 3 or 4 times? That's seriously impressive. Thanks, Arteck
