AHDECOR White Floating Shelves Wall Mounted, Deeper Wall Storage Shelf for Home Décor, Super Sturdy, Easy to Install, 12” Wide, 7.75” Deep

The media could not be loaded.  So I ordered this shelf to go on the wall under my flat screen tv because I wanted it to hold my blu ray player, roku, and maybe a few discs. I selected this one because I liked the shaped edges which appeared fancier than most of the others offered on Amazon. The shape reminded me of crown molding like a high end wooden shelf would have affixed to its edges.Upon unpacking it I noticed that one of the corners was missing paint (see photo). Not a huge deal as I was able to buy a white paint marker and touch it up, but still, not the first thing one wants to see when I boxing their “fancy” new shelf. I also noticed at that time how light the shelf is. Prior reviewers were right, the multi density board that hey used to make thing thing isn’t all that dense. However, it’s a shelf that’s rated to hold 12lbs or less, so wasn’t too worried about this.Onward to installation and prior reviewers’ comments about the shelf not sitting plumb to the wall. All I can say is, learn to do basic, simple carpentry. This shelf installs easily and comes out just fine if you follow the instructions and employ some basic common sense. I measured where I wanted the self to go, leveled it, marked the wall, drilled small pilot holes, sunk the plastic wall anchors ALL THE WAY INTO THE WALL UNTILL THEY WETE FLUSH, screwed in the mounting bar, slid the shelf over the bar, sunk the set screws into the bottom of the shelf to steady it against the mounting bar, and applied the two small, white, stickers provided over the screw holes.After installing this shelf I’m firmly convinced that the people complaining about it not sitting flush against the wall and/or being lose simply don’t understand that the shelf can never be more flush that the wall anchors that they’re mounting them into. Sink those anchors so they they’re flush against the wall and you’ll have a flush mounted shelf every time. I think that the manufacturer would do well to note this somewhere in the instructions as apparently this is a real problem for some.Once up I think the shelf looks great. It holds everything I need it to and lends a clean sort of look to what otherwise might appear as clutter. It is worth mentioning that the shelf came packaged pretty well. Lots of styrofoam protecting painted surfaces and wedged throughout the box to keep things from shifting. That said when I brought the box inside I still heard clanking as the mounting bar and hardware were moving around. A simple bit of tape could have prevented this and possibly saved the paint on the corner of my shelf. I’m giving this item 4 stars instead of 5 because of the scratched off paint on one corner and the metal components that were moving around in the package which should have been a quick,easy, fix at the factory.

Cute and convenient I like EZ-Peasy! Great for bathroom speaker or phones charger especially for kids room.

Love the look!

I got this shelf for my bathroom towels since I do not have room for a floor standing rack. It is very pretty and easy to install. I am not a novice with tools, and have installed it correctly. Still, the shelf dips slightly forward. It holds my hand towels and washcloths. But I want to get some brackets so I can hold a few bath towels too. The other issue is that the instructions say the drywall anchors are self drilling and can be installed with a screwdriver, or after drilling a 1/8 inch pilot hole. They are plastic, and not self drilling with a hand screwdriver. It takes a larger pilot hole to get the plastic anchors in the drywall. Should have taken the other reviews more seriously.

The shelves came in a pack of 3. The floating shelves are unique in that instead of a bracket under the shelf, you screw the support to the wall and two pole supports come out. This allows for a more even distribution of the weight. We thought it was priced well within our budget. Easy to install, took less than 30 mins to get all three up. Ideal if you need to decor that also serves a practical purpose.

Good experience

Happy in general but design is flawed. As mentioned in another review the shelf sags toward the front because the opening for the rods that extend outward from the wall are too large. There is nothin inside the hollow shelf to hold the front of the shelf up so it sags almost 3/8 of an inch or more. Objects can roll off. I had to put an L bracket from Home Depot in the middle to support it. Almost a good design.
