My husband first bought me an updated Roomba that had the mop/vacuum combo for Mother’s Day. He bought a brand new one but they shipped him a refurbished one. We contacted them and they said try it out and if we want to keep it, they’ll refund the difference. The mop feature never worked and it wouldn’t map out my house or let me create rooms. So, we sent it back and got a full refund and looked at other options. We wound up with the Shark vac/mop combo with the same self emptying bin (but has no bags to buy like Roomba). Oh.my.gosh! This brand is SOOOO much better than Roomba. I can create carpet zones, no go zones, and the set up and instructions are in the app unlike Roomba where you have to download the instructions separately from the app. PLUS, you can adjust the suction of the vacuum and intensify the mop. AND Shark has a heppa filter which is extremely important with my son’s allergies. Roomba needs to catch up!! They have zero no go zones or carpet zones for mopping. And they require you to purchase bags for the self empty bin. I’ll never go back to a Roomba!

Awesome at first. 6 months later it disconnected from the app, then started throwing error codes every day, now it just leaves the base, does a 180 and says to clean brush roll. It’s clean. I clean it anyway, repeat, won’t do anything. I’m going to call for help, and then I’ll throw it in the garbage when that doesn’t work. For this price tag, I expect a few years of regular use. SOOOO bummed. Ugh.

I bought this vacuum a year ago to replace our basic "dumb" Roomba vacuum with something "smarter" that could draw a mental map and mop as well as vacuum. When it actually does its job, it works pretty well in terms of vacuuming, though the mopping is hit or miss. Lately, it doesn't seem to be dispensing water evenly across the pad. Ever since I've had it, I have constantly had navigation issues, with the robot getting confused about where it is and just wandering around, not remembering which areas not to mop, etc. On top of that, controlling it via the app is very slow. If I want to have it stop wandering or cleaning a certain room and move to a different area, I literally have to send it back to the dock, where it spends a good 30 seconds emptying itself and resetting before I can give it a new task. Last night, I spent 45 minutes trying over and over to get it to snap out of its amnesia and actually mop my dining room and kitchen to no avail. It's gotten so bad that it's basically unusable for mopping jobs, so I'm looking to replace it with something smarter.

Finicky, and the battery runs out FAST. My apartment is small, less than 400 square feet, requires very little for the bot to adjust to- it’s flat, no threshold separation or raises or carpets to handle. Battery runs down from 100% to 40% when on normal mop. Bummer, and this might be an issue for anyone who has a bigger place or anything the bot has to raise over. Adequate suction isn’t great without being on Max, it leaks when docked and the station suction is moderate. But it still helps keep crumbs, grit, blown-in-dirt under control, so that’s pretty good. Nothing beats using a real mop though.

I just have to BRAG! We purchased the Shark Matrix Plus 2in1 Robot Vacuum & Mop. . . It is AMAZING! My 7 month old has officially started crawling & my dog sheds a lot. When we’d pick him up he’d be covered in dog hair. Even after I’ve swept 10+ times that day & mopped twice. I had to figure something out. A friend of mine on FB posted this & I ran. The powerful pet hair pickup self cleaning brush roll won me over! I put it to use this morning & my baby didn’t even have half the dog hair he’d have on his clothing prior. I’m blessed to say, things like this excite me very much! Startup & Shutdown can be a little loud but overall, not even that bad. The 2in1, I was iffy about but it’s nice to be able to walk barefoot in my house again & not get black feet LOL, the app keeps you up to date on the charge, & you can even schedule when you want it to clean. That’s phenomenal right?! If you’re in the market for a robot vacuum, I DEFINITELY recommend this one!

Very noisy. Have to run twice to clean LVT floors. Does not clean thin area rug even after going over it twice.

Dont buy Im writing this review after a year of using this robot and ill cut it short for you First of all noisy The sensor is weak always leave marks on the furniture and the doors Every week i have to reconnect it and usually get lost which means if i on the app give it an order to mop the living room it will go to the bedroom and keep running as a lost robot There is no refilling for the water and for my space i need to refill it in the middle of the process Moreover there is a bottom on the water tank of the robot it got broken after 6 months of use and its so important without it you cant connect the water tank to the robot andi kept sending them over 4 months and it’s obviously discontinued and they r just lying about it and eventually its laying as a died body no use out of it and no help from the weak costumer service who is asking me to just wait (dont know till when) and its a basic right to find the product parts available Dont buy dont buy again dont buy

I absolutely love this vacuum. We bought this after having a roomba for many many years. That vacuum died, so we needed a new one. I went this route because the reviews seemed good. The shark keeps my floors looking MUCH cleaner than my previous vacuum. With having two kids, I don't have a lot of extra time. Luckily I don't have to worry about cleaning my floors often since this vacuum takes care of that for me! It isn't super loud and it seems to navigate my home well.
