I bought this to be able to work from home and it has been great with no issues

Better than the one I had I love it

The first things first - the build quality feels solid, and the vertical design saves so much desk space and looks sleek while housing 13 ports. The housing is made of aluminum and is very robust. In terms of setting it up, I simply connected my keyboard, mouse, and external drive to the docking station, connected my MacBook to USB-C port, and plugged in the included power adapter. The dock was recognized by my MacBook Pro instantly, and the drivers for my mouse and keyboard were automatically installed. It took just a few minutes to complete the initial setup, and it was ready for use. In terms of connectivity, you have plenty of options. It provides two USB-C 3.2 10Gbps ports, three USB-A 3.0 ports, two HDMI 4K@60Hz ports, two Display 5K ports, one 1Gbps Ethernet port, and one audio input/output 3.5mm jack. This is more than enough for me to connect all external accessories I have to this docking station, but some who use a lot of accessories may find a number of ports lacking. This can be easily remedied with a USB hub, though. It comes with its own 40W power supply that also powers the connected accessories but is not powerful enough to power and charge the connected notebook. While the dock doesn’t charge my laptop, I knew this going in, and it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. Connecting dual 4K monitors is seamless - both HDMI and DisplayPort are supported, and you can mix-and-match monitors as you like. The video signal quality is excellent, with zero noticeable lag even during gaming, video editing, or multitasking with multiple browser tabs and spreadsheets. The Ethernet port provides stable, high-speed internet connection, and the audio jack offers excellent sound quality for my headphones. I only wish the included USB-C cable were a little longer to accommodate a more flexible setup, but that’s a minor issue. End-to-end, I really like how well this docking station is designed and its features. Definitely a keeper for me! Bottom line: The docking station has a solid aluminum build and a sleek vertical design that saves desk space while offering 13 ports. Setup is quick and seamless, with automatic driver installation for peripherals. It features USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, and audio ports, though those with many accessories may need a USB hub. It doesn’t charge the laptop but powers external accessories. Dual 4K monitors work smoothly with excellent video quality, and the Ethernet and audio connections are stable. The only minor issue is the short USB-C cable. Overall, a highly recommended product. It works but blinks out at random times and sometimes glitch then you have to reset it unfortunately

this think is so over priced, it does the same as the cheaper smaller version except it has more USB port which none of them work... so again i ask what's the point just sell/buy the WV-UG7602HC version for half the price and that doesn't require external power source, nor does it have the 5 additional USB ports that DO NOT WORK, or the Ethernet Cable Port that serves ZERO purpose. Getting same functionality and a far more attractive looking device that's honestly much heavier than this giant power draining WL-UG69K version. Oh and cant return it without the box and label....

This docking station works as expected. I used it to connect my notebook PC to a display running in 4k@60 Hz, and the video performance was fine. Whilst I was using it, I also ran a benchmark with a USB SSD that’s much faster than USB 3.0. It achieved performance near the best that USB 3.0 can offer. While this docking station is good for work scenarios, it isn’t ideal for media or gaming systems. To start with, it doesn’t support 4k@120 Hz. In addition to that, it doesn’t support high dynamic range (HDR) colour (at least not in 4k@60 Hz) and audio is limited to stereo. Despite not really being designed for gaming, I tested the docking station in some GPU-intensive gaming scenarios, and the connection was perfectly stable, with reasonable performance. It works, it just lacks features like HDR, audio with more than two channels, etc. The two USB-A ports on the back are 3.0, so are suitable for storage devices, but will typically be used for a mouse and keyboard. That leaves the one USB-A and two USB-C ports on the front, which should be sufficient for adding other devices. All in all, this docking station works as expected, and I can recommend it for scenarios that don’t require features like 120 Hz, HDR or audio with more than two channels.

In terms of compatibility, it works seamlessly with both Windows and Mac laptops, including M1/M2 models. Just be aware that if you’re using it with Windows, you might need to install some drivers, but the process is straightforward. When I compare it to other docks I’ve used, the WAVLINK stands out for its build quality and versatility, though the lack of power delivery can be a drawback for some. If you're comfortable managing multiple cables and need robust connectivity options, this dock is a solid choice. Pros: - Compact design with 13 ports - Supports dual 4K displays or a single 5K monitor - Compatible with both Windows and Mac (including M1/M2) - Smooth hot-swapping for quick device changes -Connection via USB 3 or USB C Cons: - Lacks power delivery, which would not work with USB 3.0 anyway. Overall, the WAVLINK dock is a great addition for anyone looking to enhance their workstation. If you're okay with using a separate charger, it offers excellent functionality and connectivity.

I run everything from my laptop and having numerous cables attached makes it difficult to unplug and go when I need to travel. I currently have one external monitor (1920x1080) in addition to my laptop screen and will be adding a 4K monitor soon (on order). This docking hub has provision for 2 monitors and can do either HDMI or Display Port for each. I currently have set my docking station to run from my Thunderbolt port (type USB-C). My current monitor is set up with a DisplayPort (docking station) to DVI (monitor). All my other USB hubs and my external speakers are connected directly to the docking station, leaving only a single cable plugged into my laptop. The dock has a good base to it, so it is stable on my desk. Some of the plugs are on the front due to size constraints. Audio plug, both USB-C, and one USB-A are on the front. While the back is focused more on monitor output, USB-C input (from computer) and ethernet plug. I have not been able to test my 4K monitor due to it being delayed, but everything else has worked very well. Pain-free setup, and everything worked right out of the box. I would definitely recommend this as a way of simplifying connections from a laptop. One more item to note, I love the packaging design. Placing a finger print on the area that you push to open the box was clever.

This item has caused me problems twice in the last couple of weeks. First I lost the use of my Wireless sound which was plugged in to this , Then when trying to switch to a larger Monitor I had trouble doing that. Save your money unless you enjoy tinkering with stuff to get things working.

Works perfectly

It seems as though the new laptops are coming out with fewer and fewer ports. My newest laptop has one USB port and one HDMI output (along with a couple USB C ports). This docking station helped solve that problem for me but it is not without its flaws. The design is awesome and feels like it is of good quality. I love the vertical design; it looks great on any desk. My computer recognized the docking station right away so there was no need for me to install any drivers or anything like that. The external monitors were displayed with no problem. However, this device does not send the HDMI signals through the USB C port. This may be a problem with games that require heavy graphics cards. USB 3.0 ports are a little dated. Newer technologies have been out for a while now so I am surprised to see this on here. There is a power cord to plug in to supply all the ports however the docking station WILL NOT CHARGE OR POWER YOUR LAPTOP. I feel that this is a huge, missed opportunity. I hate having to move my desk to plug in my laptops power cable every time I need to take the laptop with me and plug it back in when I am working from home. This is what bugs me the most about the docking station. I know they clearly indicate that it will not power your device, but for this price, I think it should.

Will be returning. It creates all kinds of issues with my Asus laptop which is USB-C compatible. Keyboard won't function properly, cannot charge through the hub and the HDMI will not work consistently.
