Cuts perfectly
Amazing for cutting kindling. Splits with ease, easy to sharpen after lots of use, great value for money. I fitted mine to the top of a spare log so it’s at a good height to save my back. Very sturdy once fixed down and makes light work of both hard and soft woods. One thing I would recommend is to wear gloves though as if your hand slips it’s easy to cut a finger on the blade

Simply Superb for Kindling
I've struggled on for years using an axe to cut up kindling. Fed up, I took to Amazon to find an easier solution. This item is brilliant. I wish I'd found it years ago. It is so much easier and safer using this to cut kindling. I've a manged to cut a lot of kindling in very little time and with minimal effort. I'm not sure a rubber mallet will suffice, get yourself a metal lump hammer and it'll do the trick.I'm struggling to understand the negative reviews. Quite simply, this item is for chopping ALREADY split wood into KINDLING. Do not buy this item and expect it to split or dress large lumps of wood.

Kindle Splitter
In the description it states the colour is green but it is orange. The blade cover does not clip on, just sits on top of the blade, so not secured. There was a metal tube in the box and some large washers which do not have any relevance to the tool.??However, l fixed it to the large log l had using the screws provided and followed the instructions in the video. It works really well and has made chopping my kindle much easier and safer than an axe.

Used to split pallet wood, worked flawlessly
You get the splitting blade, a metal cover for blade, some screws to fix blade to a wooden base and an extension tube for use with a slide type manual log splitter so it doesn't smash down on the blade. I don't have the slide log splitter and used a rubber mallet instead.Used to split cut to length pallet wood. For this it worked perfectly. Had to use very little force to split the wood. As with any sharp tool be careful and take your time, the blade on this is suprisingly sharp. I have my doubts about splitting thick sections of log but didn't need it for that so can't comment with any certainty.

Makes splitting logs and kindling really easy
I am finding this easier to use that the 'Kraken style' wood splitter that i have as it is not encircled by a frame and thus can use any size wood from kindling to large log on it.I have added a wooden base and although it can jump around depending on what base you attach it do, i do find it is an excellent piece of equipment for log splitting. The top cover is a good safety feature

Depends on the wood you're splitting.
Nothing wrong with the product, just depends on the wood you're looking to split. I didn't think of that, waste of money for me 🤷🤦 I'll stick to an axe.

Much safer and quicker than wielding an axe.
This is much safer, accurate and substantially quicker than wielding an axe and is sturdily built with a decent blade cover. Essentially it's an inverted axe head that you fix to a base log and then offer up the wood to the blade and hit on top with a club hammer and make large amounts of kindling in a short amount of time.Very quick delivery (within a couple of days) and neatly packaged.

Works well
Screws were not provided as stated unfortunately. I had a first go with it and it split my Birch logs well. I will be getting a lump hammer to make it easier to split them. Also make sure you are wearing gloves to grip the wood as you hit it
