Less bloating than other powders
I'm NOT a vegan but I've been using Vega protein and greens for a couple of years and when I see other products always hesitate with the thought of switching. I've found that most other proteins cause me to bloat, and give some intestinal discomfort. I've used protein powder for years and I just always thought that this was me and had no idea it was caused by the protein brands I was using until I switched. Now I only use Vega brand, and specifically Vega Protein and Greens because the vegan aspect has completely taken away the whey induced bloating I used to just deal with and veggies are a plus. I like the chocolate flavor and although it does have a hint of that chemical aftertaste, it's so much less than most other brands I've tried. Truly, I'm more of a texture person though and whereas many brands are gritty or grainy, Vega Protein and Greens is soft and powdery, almost fluffy. It's very fine. This is great for the texture in milk. It can, however, make it a little more difficult to blend into smoothies as it wants to turn to paste on the sides of the blender glass or float, rather than sink. I use it in smoothies regardless because it's really not that bad, it's just how it goes with that texture of powder (think cocoa powder, more like that). I love knowing that I'm getting veggies in with my protein in a smoothie, and if I need an extra boost of protein later I can just mix the powder with almond or cashew milk and it tastes fine that way, too (although I did notice it does mix more easily with cow's milk). There are other protein powders that provide a higher amount of protein per scoop, but this one is about average and the calories are low which I like. I would definitely recommend.

Non whet alternative
One of my favorite proteins to use for taste, the most richness and does not have many clumps. Also a great option for people that are all allergic to whey.

1/3 the Cost of Optavia
I ordered this product in an attempt to find a protein shake that I can buy that is less expensive than Optavia shakes but that tastes as good. First of all, as far as nutritional value, this VEGA shake has more calories, protein, fat, and sodium than Optavia. Not by a whole lot, but there are some differences. It has less sugar than Optavia. As far as taste, I prefer Optavia. However, the cost is only a third, so that is good. It mixes up well. No problem with that. (I use a small blender.) It says to use water, but I use about half water and half unsweetened vanilla almond milk and then prob 6 or 8 ice cubes. The first time, I did try it with just water and ice cubes. I had to do something to help it bc to me, it was a tad bitter and didn't have much of a good flavor. In my opinion, it is chocolatey, but it has a coconut taste too. Ok. I could drink it in plain water like that if i had to, but I'm sprucing it up some. Like I said, I'm using half almond milk which adds 30 calories. Then I add a teaspoon of truvia or Splenda and a very small shot of vanilla. (Like 1 or 2 drops!) Like this, it's good! I have not had any gut issues. It is gluten-free which is required for me. It does keep me full for a good 2 - 3 hours. I will probably order it again and again instead of getting the optavia shakes. It will definitely save me money in the long run. And for me, the differences in the nutritional value should not make much of a difference. In some cases, it may. (This shake costs 1/3 what Optavia shakes cost.)

Has a fantastic coconut flavor
I'm not usually a fan of Vega (I like Orgain) but I decided to try it because it had the supergreens added. The chocolate is not as sweet as Orgain; however, it is very good and has a smooth flavor. I was not expecting the coconut and was very happy to discover it when I made my smoothie. I blend this protein powder with unsweetened almond milk and banana, along with some fiber powder. It is a delicious and healthful way to start the morning. I recommend it.

My favorite protein powder
I’ve been using this protein powder for a few years now. I don’t know about the others, but I love the taste because I add peanut butter powder and I also add cocoa powder to my shake. So I think it taste pretty good. There is an aftertaste from the protein powder, but I don’t mind it as much because I do think it’s a really good tasting shake. I add to it , unsweetened almond milk and I also add a banana. I drink the shake every day and I absolutely love it. I think it’s a great quality shake, and the thickness is something you can control by adding more liquid or less. I add hot water to the powder to make it less clumpy and to get all the clumps out.

Tastes better than other protein powders
I have been using Vega Protein and Supergreens for about two years ever since I was diagnosed with liver disease. My doctors recommended that I use a vegan protein drink to increase my protein intake. I tried several brands before landing on this one. The taste is quite good. I prefer the chocolate flavor and blend it with Almond milk. It mixes well in my Ninja blender for a smooth, tasty drink. Sometimes I add a few slices of frozen banana. My doctor read the nutrition label to make sure I was using a product that had healthy ingredients for my condition and gave it two thumbs up. A shake for breakfast in the morning is my daily routine. Really helped me stick to a healthy weight loss program to shed over 100 pounds without surgery or drugs. Highly recommend.

Water-based Shake Is Not Bad...
I've tried the chocolate, berry, and salted caramel flavors and for the most part they all taste pretty much the same. I drink mine with water only, as I am on a low-fat and dairy-free diet. I've dried Gold Standard, which was supposed to be the best tasting drink and that one was AWFUL. The Vega product line has pretty consistent flavor across the board and is the only one I've found so far that I can drink with only water. I did notice that the chocolate flavor is very different from the first pack I bought and the tub, and as the other reviews noted, there definitely seems to be a change in the flavor. I add an extra bit of raw cacao powder to my drink to make it more chocolatey without macro impact and that seems to help. I've also tried adding flavorings like baking oils and extracts, but they dont seem to blend well into the drink--it just really accents the chalky flavor. But, mixing two flavors together like chocolate and salted caramel works. If you're not cutting carbs, adding in a raw banana with the water or a bit of peanut butter really makes it taste great. On its own, the chocolate mixed with water and ice tastes like the Starbucks chocolate protein shake they used to sell in stores like 5 years ago. Macros are pretty good compared to others like Syntha-6 and Gold Standard, so if you're mixing it with other stuff there's not too bad of a macro impact happening. And unlike some of the other protein powders I've tried, this one doesn't cause digestive issues.
