IM A ALPHA MALE,used to use just for men black,as I got more grey, it started giving my a hair a brown tint or a blue tint,never got a true black color at all, they must have changed the formula, so my hair girl told me she would get me something that worked, I said ok, L,Oreal excellence creme worked perfectly, my hair is now dark black , no tint just black, when she told me what she used I was shocked,its a womans product so she knew if I thought it was not a mans product I would have said no, she knows me so well lol

Love this hair color, looks SO natural. I have greys to color, and it lasts a good amount of time, I just color all of it 2 or 3 times a year...Just touch up roots every 3 weeks.

I am a licensed cosmetologist with over 20 years of experience. I have a couple of gray hairs and wanted to cover them. I usually have a box or two of professional color at home but this time I did not! During this time of social distancing none of the professional stores near me are open. I could order online but it was going to take forever. I usually color my hair with 1n (black). L’Oréal does make a few lines of professional hair color that I have used, so I thought their box color would be fine. This color worked great! I had no allergic reaction and the color is rich and beautiful natural black. No damage detected and the conditioner it comes with is nice too. If you are a blond Or light brown however, be careful. Blonde box color tends to pull gold and light brown colors pull lighter on grey or white hair.
