The best tasting ‘medicine’ you could ask for.
This is the first time I have tried Cleavers tea and I have to say that I found it really delicious and calming. I’m hoping it will have long term positive health effects as well.

Very light and refreshing
Cleavers is listed in Culpepper with the alternative name goosegrass, which name is also given to at least two other species - we'll stick with Culpepper, who lists many health benefits, none of which are listed on this pack... but there are no proven benefits anyway. The tea is very pale in colour, and has a light, pleasant smell. The taste is delicate, and a long brewing time is needed for it to be there at all; the tea is very refreshing, however, and needs no sweetening. I'll certainly finish the pack, as the tea is mild enough to go with any meal. (Freshly-picked leaves, apparently, are thought to be more efficacious, and the plant is common in gardens and easily recognisable). Water was heated to 90 degrees.

Dust
Basically dust and therefore really difficult to use.

Tastes like how it smells.
This Lowhill Valley Cleavers herbal tea comes in a 100 gramme pack and looks and smells like dried grass cuttings. In fact, I have been pulling this plant (Galium Aparine) out of our garden's borders for decades and it is interesting to find out just what it tastes like. It pretty much tastes like how it smells. It is drinkable but it is easy to have expectations that are greater than what it is capable of delivering. However, it produces a good colour. The claims that people make about this are many but I can state that I have not come across any of them.
