Impressive Fitness Tracker for the Price
Bought the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Active in pink and I'm genuinely impressed with what you get for the money. The 1.47-inch display is bright, clear, and easy to read, while the 60Hz refresh rate makes navigating the menus feel smooth and responsive. The setup process was straightforward, and it connected to my phone without any issues. Notifications come through reliably, and the health tracking features, including sleep monitoring and activity tracking, provide useful insights throughout the day.Battery life has been excellent. After several days of use, the battery percentage had barely moved, so I can easily believe the advertised long battery life with normal use. There are plenty of sports modes available, and the band is comfortable enough to wear all day and overnight for sleep tracking. The pink colour looks great and gives it a more stylish appearance than many fitness trackers in the same price range.Overall, it's a feature-packed fitness tracker that offers excellent value for money. Very happy with the purchase and would happily recommend it.

Great value, well constructed, great functionality
Surprisingly good, great value smart watch/health band thing. It does all the sleep tracking and step counting stuff I need and the phone app is quite "inspired" by the apple version. Great battery life. I charged it up when I got it and have worn it ever since. I just checked and it says "49% battery, last charged 11 days ago". So that gives you some idea.

Good Device with Many Functions, Easy to Use, Very Frustrating to Set Up
This fitness tracker is a Which? Best Buy, and its review provides full details of the reasons (Fitness Trackers category). It has many useful features and is simple to use once you become accustomed to it.However, please be aware that measurements are metric and cannot be changed to imperial. So, if you think in pounds and miles, please bear this in mind. There are also some negatives. The charging lead is short, and being a special type of lead, you cannot purchase a longer replacement. There is no charging plug, so you need to buy a USB-A to wall socket converter. USB-A is the type commonly found on computers, allowing you to use a computer as an alternative charging source. The strap is not fitted, and there are no fitting instructions. To attach both parts of the strap, align the metal clip on the strap with the hole on the device, and then push gently until you hear a click. Remember to pull gently on the strap afterwards to ensure a secure fitting. The booklet accompanying the device features tiny print, and the setup instructions are unclear.Xiaomi does not provide operating instructions, so you need to search for them on another site. The step counter is inaccurate; it does not record all steps taken at home. The display is tiny, making it difficult for some people to read. The multiple statistics reset to zero every day at midnight, so please bear this in mind if this might affect you.

Shuts down in the sun
If you are out in the sun the band turns off. Then have to plug it into the charger to turn it on again. Not much help if you are out in the wilderness with no access to mains power. Wish I hadn’t bought the band. Now stuck with a product that is no good.I had the mk5 before for about 4 years and it never let me down. I think the battery gave up in the end.

Really impressed and happy with my purchase 🩷
Really impressed with this watch and the app so far! It's a nice looking watch, good screen and custom watch faces dare a great touch.Being able to see my sleep pattern and the accuracy of it was really good. I wore it today well at the hospital and check my heart rate and oxygen via the watch + hospital machine and it was accurate the 3 times I done it.The photo doesn't do it justice but I've just had surgery and can't be bothered 😂.I've bought some extra straps and screen protectors and it's lovely. I love it, I've had loads of smart watches over the years and I've got to say this is my favourite so far!The price is crazy as well, I can't believe how cheap it is.Also looks so cute and a great shape.

Great tracker, let down by a poorly designed strap
This band works really well and does everything I wanted — sleep monitoring, activity tracking, all of it. Setup was quick and easy, connecting to my Xiaomi phone in seconds.Design-wise, it looks great: subtle, sporty, and robust. It doesn't feel bulky or flashy, and it's clearly built for active use.Unfortunately, it's badly let down by the strap. The clasp comes undone 3 to 6 times a day, which is a real problem for a fitness tracker you're supposed to be able to rely on during workouts or throughout the day. It's frustrating, because everything else about the device is excellent, and I'm not sure how much longer I can put up with it.If Xiaomi fixed the strap design, this would be a 5-star product. As it stands, I can only give it 3 because a tracker that won't stay on your wrist doesn't fully do its job.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 STARS – My Wrist Is a Judgy Little B*tch and I Love Her
I bought this fitness watch thinking it’d be a cute, supportive little companion — the kind that cheers you on when you take the stairs or maybe claps silently when you don’t eat an entire cake for breakfast.Nope. What I got was a wrist-sized snitch with attitude, sass, and the emotional support skills of a brick wall.💓 Heart Rate Monitor? It buzzed when I saw my ex’s name pop up in a group chat. Not when I was exercising. Not when I was running. No. Because of emotional trauma. This thing is a glorified lie detector and I feel attacked.💤 Sleep Tracker?Apparently, I sleep like a gremlin in a tumble dryer. It had the audacity to say, “Restless: 92% of the night.” Oh really, Susan? Maybe if my neighbors weren’t reenacting WWE at 2AM, I’d sleep like a damn princess.🫁 O2 Levels? Thanks to this feature, I now know I randomly forget how to breathe while doom-scrolling at 3am. That’s not terrifying at all.🧠 Stress Measure? This watch has zero chill. I opened an overdue bill and it vibrated like I’d just set off a nuclear bomb. She really said, “You okay?” No, Susan. I’m not. And now you know it too.PROS:✅ Looks slick✅ Knows me better than my therapist✅ Never lets me lie to myself againCONS:❌ Emotionally unsupportive❌ Lives to roast me❌ Once buzzed while I was just THINKING about responsibilitiesWould I recommend?Oh absolutely. She’s the mean girl of fitness watches, and somehow that’s exactly the energy I needed. 10/10 would be judged again. 💁♀️⌚️💀

The software lets the product down
Okay, so just over 4 months with this device and growing irritations have prompted a reviewPositives:Initial battery life was fantastic - can't remember exactly but was in excess of 20 days. Great. Not getting such great battery life 4 months in but that mey be due to some setting changes I've made (always on display for example).GUI takes a bit of getting used to, some things I'd find - such as the walking app - but not be able to find again. Happily, I now know where to find that! The tracker/watch (I *think* of it as a watch with features) shows a host of data - such as heart rate, distance travelled etc and also displays a 'map' of where you have been. [How it does this when it loses GPS signal is beyond me].Negatives:A growing list I'm afraid.Watch/tracker (I think of it as a watch as I wear it like one so will refer to it as a watch in this review) keeps telling me that it doesn't have a GPS signal and to move outdoors to an open space - only this happens when I'm on my daily walk on a residential street or even in a farmer's field! Not sure if this is a fault as it didn't do this initially but it seems to be happening more frequently recently.Secondly, the time is now off by 3 minutes - but trying to change the time has led me down a rabbit hole. You can't do it on the watch itself, Oh no! You have to use the Mi Fitness app on your phone. In my case I had a Smart Band 4c previously (still have it but don't use it) and the app wants to connect to that. The Smart Band 9 also appears - but with no connect button. Simple eh - remove the old device - except there isn't an option to do this in the app (at least as far as I can see). Finally, I try to remove the app from my phone and re-install - but it then won't accept my username/password. No problem, I try to create a new account, only it wants a mobile number and already has '+86' at the start but this is greyed out and won't accept '+44' for the UK. Delete, reinstall app, make sure I have selected 'United Kingdom' as the country and try again, *STILL* have '+86' for the country code. So, from an initial problem of the watch having a time discepancy of 3 mins, I have managed to fail to delete the old Band 4c, failed to connect to the Smart Band 9, delete and reinstall the app three times - each time failing to gain access to my account (or even set up a new account).Just short of an hour before I tried to change the time on my watch, I finally have access to my Xaomi account - but I still haven't managed to (a) delete the old device as the instructions to do so don't match what I see in the app and (b) i still haven't managed to change the time on the watch. See what I men about a rabbit hole?Aside from deleting the old device in the app (which I cant do as the instructions to do so don't match what I see), an alternative set of instructions tell me to do so online in my account - but I can't do that either as neither the old Band 4c device or new Band 9 appear in the list of devices! The watches/trackers may be okay but the software associated with them is absolute garbage. I started writing this review giving the device 2 stars - but after all the frustrations above, this is now 1 star.Oh, and did I mention the stupid silicone strap that is (almost) impossible to fasten? The loop that keeps the end of the strap from flapping around moves whilst trying to fasten the strap only to virtally refuse to move so that you can adjust it when the strap is tighter on your wrist and the stupid 'pin & hole' design of the latch is annoying beyond description. The whole product stinks of something designed by an idiot that hasn't *actually* used the product they've designed in order to recognise the problems (and the even more monumentally stupid management that signed the whole thing off). The product, when it works is great and much cheaper than alternatives however the software - be it the software on he device, the app on the phone or the website - lets the whole thing down.UPDATE: App or watch (can't remember which) said there was an update available. Downloaded and applied the update and magically, the time is now correct. Also, on my walk this morning, it didn't tell me that I hadn't got a GPS signal when I was outdoors! So a couple of issues resolved? The jury is still out on that one!Based on these two irritations being sorted for now, rating increased to 2 stars.
