NYX Professional Makeup Lip Gloss Lip IV Lip Stain, Shade: Espresso Soak

I’m really impressed with this NYX lip gloss. The formula is smooth, lightweight, and feels surprisingly comfortable on the lips without any stickiness. The colour payoff is lovely — glossy with just the right amount of pigment — and it gives a fresh, plump look that works for both everyday wear and going out. It applies evenly, doesn’t settle into lines, and keeps the lips feeling hydrated throughout the day. The gloss also layers well over lipstick without disturbing it, which is a big bonus. The scent is subtle and pleasant, and the applicator makes it easy to get a clean, even finish. Overall, it’s a great quality gloss at a really good price. Shiny, comfortable, and flattering — definitely one I’ll keep using.

This is a great lip gloss, because it goes on glossy (but not sticky) and smooth. The gloss does eventually go away but the stain remains. The pictures are right after application and then 4 hours and several hot drinks/ waters later. Good product, would buy again

Couldn't quite give this a 5 star as it requires a lot of waiting and most times requires an additional layer to really see the difference. That being said, it does work and gives a nice subtle stain. I find most lip stains give a pinky stain and don't quite match their colour (the same can be said for the expensive ones). I don't know if that's something to do with my skin, though. When adding lip gloss the colour does pop! I've given a before and after photo. This is after 2 applications. First application was on for 20mins before wiping off, the second was on for 10mins. For those who like vibrant, loud, shiny lips, there is the added bonus of being able to wear this as a gloss without having to wipe the shine off. You can apply this and wear it as is and it'll leave you with the stain after the gloss wears off. My only issue with that is that the shiny gloss will transfer and, with it being a stain, I'd constantly be wary of how it might stain. But that's not an issue for me as I don't like thick bold layers on my lips, so the subtle stain is fine. I have all brands of stains (the "viral" Wonder one, Smooche, Sacheu, Beauty Crop). I have 3 of these NYX ones and, honestly, I would rate these as one of the lowest (on par with Beauty Crop), although Wonder is only scoring higher because it takes 2mins to stain, not 20! I actually don't rate the Wonder one much at all. These are still great stains, and ideal if you don't want to spend loads: - they stain - they last (although not as long as more expensive brands) - easy to apply - nice colours - pops with gloss - compact size for the handbag - doesn't dry out lips as much as others (Sacheu scores top marks for moisturising quality. Most stains do dry out lips. TIP: apply plain lip balm, after 10mins wipe off any excess balm and apply stain) Main con: wait time is too long to get a decent stain

Absolutely lovely glosses. Not sticky, beautiful shine, easy application. Shades are darker than shown on photos so be mindful the photos advertised are colour enhanced and brightened up. These leave a lovely lip stain too. Great quality, fragrance isnt strong. Great value for money.

I bought this as a gift for a work colleague who fancied my lippie! These glasses are FABULOUS! They leave such a lovely colour on the lips that is long lasting and non drying. I apply and leave the gloss coat on, but I know in some 'influencer' videos, they blot or wipe away completely. Its just down to personal preference. If you've been thinking about trying one, do it! I'd buy every colour if I could afford to

Very pretty colour when it dries down. However, it dries out my lips ! I had cracks on my lips from using this. I've had to start going to bed with vaseline on my lips to bring them back. I wouldn't purchase again, never had lips this dry and cracked in my life. I know it's this gloss that caused it as its the only lip makeup I wore everyday when this happened. No matter, I love NYX and use most of their products this one just doesn't agree with me.

Excellent staying power, only need a little. Very comfortable on and great colour.

This is a beautiful lip gloss/stain. If you want a more intense colour you can wear as a lip gloss, and if you want less colour or more of a lip stain look you can blot the colour until you’re happy with the result. I want to try other colours too.

The best lip tint i have ever tried, lasts for about 5 hours at a time, and looks amazing on my olive skin. i think this lip stain is viral for a reason
