works well
It works well, there's a very faint ticking noise as the player attempts to "play" the tape. If you have the volume turned all the way up on your device, it does sound little "overblown". I found the sweet spot for playing music or audiobooks in my car from my phone is turn the phone audio up to about 75% and then adjust the volume as needed from the car stereo. Overall the sound quality is pretty good. I have nice speakers in my 2005 car, so I prefer using those rather than the tiny speakers on my phone, especially for longer drives. Not all of us have a new car with Bluetooth so this gadget is helpful!

Solid!
I bought this because my last connector stopped working, and I am happy with it so far! It works well, and I see no issues with it. My last cable started wearing at the connector, but this quality of this one seems solid so far. I feel that the audio seems good, and I use it with a dongle that is compatible with my phone's headphone port. I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Bad product
Terrible product and not what is in the picture. Ordered this specifically because the aux was shown to be a 90 degree angle only for it to be straight. Doesn’t work well on top of that

Works great
Been using it for a few months to add a screen and CarPlay to an old Hyundai Santa Fe. Works excellent, never a problem

Using For Software Transfer From PC to Amstrad CPC 464 Cassette Drive
I'm using this for something a bit different, a way to transfer software from my PC to the cassette drive in an Amstrad CPC 464 using this audio cassette adapter. The data the CPC 464 reads from the tape drive is essentially scrambled audio data that is decoded by the CPC during load. The adapter quality isn't the best, but it does seem to do the job and it's good enough for what I need it for. Hopefully it will hold up long enough for my uses and if so, then I'll be happy. For those who want to know, I also tested it with an actual audio cassette player connected to my phone with a 3.5mm adapter and it worked fine. Sound was in stereo and nothing was out of the ordinary. Sound quality wasn't bad either and it's so easy that anybody can figure it out. I had to make sure this would work before I tried it in a rare vintage computer and I'm thankful it works.

Brought My 1987 Boom Box Into the 21st Century
I've never liked cassettes, and I'm old enough to have been alive when they were popular. But I had a genuine 1987 boom box that looked practically new and wanted to bring it into the 21st century. I tried a Bluetooth FM transmitter, but those are subject to drift and static. Then I bought this cassette adapter. Opened the boom box and cut the power wires to the cassette motor to eliminate noise. If you try this, DO NOT cut the audio signal wires from the cassette head. Installed this adapter and ran the cord out through the battery compartment in the back. The cord is nice and long for this purpose. Plugged it in to a Bluetooth receiver, pressed play on the deck, and started playing music from my phone. Crystal clear sound and that great 80s audio quality! Quite confusing for people who see and hear it, conversation starter for sure. This adapter does a wonderful job of sending the audio through the cassette head with hi-fidelity and stereo separation you would never get from an actual cassette tape. Highly recommended!

Classic radio lifesaver
Was unsure how it would work going off the somewhat mixed reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Just wanted the ability to plug in my xm radio adapter in my 95 F350 without having to get rid of the stock unit and getting some cheap ugly head unit. Sounds phenomenal, if there is any feedback i certainly don't hear it on the stock speakers anyway. Just plug and play and just like that I don't have to hear commercials anymore!

Works really well. Having your plugged in devices volume too high may make it distort. I use it with my phone volume at 50% and adjust the volume on my head unit.

I was skeptical at first but the sound quality is great!! It comes brand new in a sealed pack like you just bought it from the store. I would reccomend for people with older vehicles trying to keep the old school look of the interior. The only con is the sound of the static when volume us low and spinning gears which can be drowned out by putting the volume uo

I use this as a means to connect a Sirius Xm radio to the audio input of my aged car radio… Works fine with minimal distortion…
