Solar Bug Zapper, 4500V Electric Grid Mosquito Killer for Patio

As you can see it works quite well. This is after about 6 weeks of continuous use in the summer (Since beginning of July), through countless thunderstorms. It’s definitely weather proof. The stakes it goes into the ground hold it firmly in place in wind gusts up to 40 mph. It’s definitely weather proof. The photo isn’t a month’s worth of insects to be clear that’s after about 2-3 days of operation. You do need to clean it out regularly. The little brush they give you for cleaning it is useless though it’s best to just use a compressed air duster (like you use to clean out inside a computer.). That works great for blowing the dead insects out of the device in a few seconds. I see no reason why it won’t continue to work for a long time. Again, it’s been through a lot of severe weather and works most of the night. Then charges back up during the day. I’ve also noticed a reduction in pest insects around our house too. Even some lantern flies got zapped which is good. You can’t tell from the photo but it definitely kills mosquitoes and also Japanese beetles seem to be killed by it. Moths too, not sure if that’s a benefit or not. Doesn’t seem to attract or kill regular house flies though so you’d probably need something else if they are a problem for you. Definitely recommend.

Great product for the price. Works very well at helping keep the bugs away! It’s held up to heavy rain, heat, and with a few hours of direct sun it keeps its charge for the night!

I like it, does a great job on all size flying bugs. Solar charger seems to keep it good for all night. After two weeks only I would buy again. If it stops working I’ll update this review

This was a bad purchase. It deters bug alright they stay away from it. We have this one and its doing absolutely nothing and then another one that is constantly zapping this has a different color light and apparently it does not lure them in.

We have only used this one time, on our front porch. Mosquitoes love me so I am a freak about making sure our space is mosquito free. We also used a different mosquito thing, again, because I’m a freak about not having them around. What I did like about this was, as soon as the sun went down we started hearing the zapping of bugs dying at the hands of the blue light. We live in California, we don’t get the monster mosquitos the rest of the country gets…. Thank you Jesus! They are almost like the, No-see ‘ems. Those little tiger mosquitoes that you don’t know they’re biting you till they are almost done. We wanted to see how long the battery would last on this thing before we ventured out into the wilderness. It lasted at least 8 hrs. Could have been as much as 9 hrs, depending on who you talk to, me or my husband. I’m going with 8 hrs for sure. We weren’t up that long but if you’re throwing a party, this timeline will help you. As far as the distance accuracy of this unit, I cannot comment on. It was on our front porch wall. I think as affordable as it is, you’ll like it. I will give it 4 starts only because I did not have it out in a field, out in the open air where the mosquitoes are plentiful. AND…. It’s solar! It recharges itself, what could be better than that!

So this is definitely one of my favorite Amazon purchases! Works great, solar charging is awesome. We are boondocking and have turned it on each night. Highly recommend this purchase!

I was hesitant getting a solar big zapper at first but was surprised on how well this works. Is it as good as a plug in, no but it’s close. No running cords out to back of the yard.

This item is crap in my opinion. Says it will cover an acre. I had it on my patio tonight and the mozzies were way more interested in me and my wife Then they were of your pretty blue light of your product. Need direction. Not happy😩. Can I throw it in the garbage and get my money back??
