Aiyima A80 Amp Review – This Little Box Made My Cheap Speakers Sound Amazing!
Okay let see My detailed reviews... First Impressions – Looks and Feels Solid! Right when I unboxed the Aiyima A80, I could tell it was a step up from their older stuff. The metal body feels sturdy, not cheap, and the knobs (volume, bass, treble) turn nice and smooth, no wobbly junk here. The LCD screen is a game-changer! It actually shows what's going on—input, volume, even the Bluetooth codec. No more guessing if you're on the right setting. The lcd could be better with better colors Well go áreas to the sound test I test this amp with my Sony and pioneer speakers and let me told you those Came Alive! I hooked this little beast up to two of my favorite budget bookshelf speakers: 1. Sony SSCS5 (bright and detailed) 2. Pioneer BS22-LR (warm and smooth) With the Sony SSCS5: - The highs were crisp but not harsh—the treble knob helped tone down the Sony's sometimes sharp sound. - Vocals sounded super clear—like Norah Jones was right in the room. - Bass was tight and punchy, but don't expect earthquake-level lows without a sub. With the Pioneer BS22-LR: - These speakers love power, and the A80's 80W (at 4Ω) made them sing. - Jazz and acoustic tracks (think Diana Krall) sounded full and rich. - The bass boost added just enough oomph without making things muddy. Bluetooth? Way better than I expected! Streaming from Spotify/Tidal sounded almost as good as wired. No lag for movies either. This is a good difference between this to the a07 model that sound great too.. --- A80 vs. A07 Max – What's the Upgrade? I've got the Aiyima A07 Max too (great little amp), but the A80 is definitely better: - LCD screen (A07 has nada—just a tiny light) - Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 (A07 needs a dongle or a Bluetooth received with dac... - Optical input (perfect for hooking up to a TV) - Bass & treble knobs (A07 is just volume) - Cleaner sound (less hiss at high volumes) The A07 Max is simpler (just RCA in, no frills), but the A80 is like the upgraded version, more features without losing sound quality. Well, my Final Thoughts – Worth Buying? If you want a small, powerful, do-it-all amp that makes budget speakers like the Sony SSCS5 and Pioneer BS22LR sound way better than they should, the Aiyima A80 is a killer deal. It's not "high-end audiophile" level, but for the price? It's insane. Who's it for? - People who want Bluetooth + wired options - TV/movie lovers who need optical input - Anyone upgrading from a basic amp (like the A07) who wants more control Who should skip it? - If you only need RCA inputs, the A07 Max is cheaper. - If you need crazy power (for huge speakers), look at bigger amps. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) – Best budget amp I've used this year! 🔥 (Pro tip: Add a small subwoofer if you want more bass. The A80 handles 2.1 setups like a champ!)

Aiyima A80 is a real winner!
I recently decided to simplify my audio setup, and the Aiyima A80 integrated amp has been a game-changer. Instead of juggling multiple components, this compact all-in-one unit does it all—combining a high-quality TPA3255 amplifier and ES9038Q2M DAC into one very capable device. Setting it up was a breeze, thanks to its wide range of inputs and outputs. A nice feature is the included 48V 5A GaN power supply, which pairs well with the amp. I was initially concerned about possible heat buildup, but so far, it's been running cool and stable. Connecting my streamer via the optical cable that came with the A80 has resulted in clean, distortion-free sound—just what I was hoping for. To my ears, the A80 delivers tight and controlled lows, clear and natural mids, and crisp highs that never feel harsh. Whether I'm listening to jazz, rock, or classical, it creates an engaging and fatigue-free listening experience. The rated 120W per channel output drives my JBL 100 speakers without effort, and the built-in tone controls let me fine-tune the treble and bass to my individual tastes. I also like that the 3.5mm Aux output gives me the option to connect an active subwoofer, although I have not yet added that to my system. One of the great features is the display—it’s a really fun touch! The VU meter and spectrum analyzer mode add some flair (I’m partial to the spectrum analyzer), making it not just an audio device but a visual centerpiece of my setup as well. The remote that came in the box allows me to easily switch VU modes from the comfort of my listening position. All in all, Aiyima has delivered a fantastic, affordable Class D amp that does a good job balancing functionality, performance, and aesthetics. The solid build quality with well-placed ventilation holes, quality chipsets and PFFB circuitry tells me this amp/dac is designed to last. I am very happy with my decision to make the switch!

Excellent integrated amp for small rooms and sensitive speakers
Context: i am looking to replace an aging “nova 150” connected to kef q150 in a desktop setting. Reasons the nova is too big for a desktop and developed popping noise indicative of aging caps. Opinion: Design: beautiful, pleasing to the eyes. 5 stars Controls: intuitive and quick. Changing inputs, visuals, tone are quick and easy. Volume is very precise, almost 10 turns from zero to 100% makes it perfect for desktop setting. 5 stars Sound quality: A80 matches the 10x expensive nova. In fact the DAC inside is, to my ears, significantly better than the 10yo nova DAC. 5 stars given my goal Power output: falls short of claims. It supposed to match or exceed the nova. The reality is that in comparison it feels underpowered especially with the low sensitivity KEFs. I have klipsch THX which are better match. This is a problem because in desktop setting I need a lot of current with very low voltage, to energize the Kefs on low volume. I am not saying is bad. I am just comparing it to the $1500 (at the time of purchase) nova.: 3.5 stars What made me return it: I experimented with smsl su-1 dac and boy oh boy. This thing was made for q150. Absolutely awesome sound, on those specific speakers, audibly better than the 5x more expensive smsl do300ex and in completely different category than the a80 dac. But then if I am using the su-1 I don’t need integrated amp, just a power block in front of the su-1. So I am returning it for a simple power amp. Conclusion: excellent all in one piece rivaling 10x more expensive class d integrated amps 5 years old or older. Not the best match with q150, excellent match with all kinds of klipsch. Cons: Its getting rather hot and fast. When this does not pose an immediate problem, I am afraid it may lead to relatively quick degradation of the semiconductors inside. Just sayin.

Premium DAC with good output
This DAC is amazing - upgraded from a basic headphone jack AMP to using this with a direct USB connection from my PC and it sounds amazing. There is zero white noise and the sound is crisp and clear. I can crank it up louder than I can stand to listen with zero distortion. I'm using small ish speakers (Polk RM8), I've got it set at volume 50 playing music, at full volume it fills the house and I can't be in the same room. So subjectively it's got quite a bit of kick in terms of power output. No audible distortion all the way up except for the speakers themselves, and even that is less than I expected. Bluetooth connection is also crisp and clear, signal works on the other side of the house through multiple walls. I can't tell the difference over Bluetooth vs PC using the same hifi songs (44khz) I also really like the box itself, the screen display is really cool and the knob and controls are really intuitive. It also feels very sturdy and professional. Overall 10/10

Great Tiny Unit. Don't hesitate - Buy This.
WOW WOW WOW This little thing is sitting in my office kicking some serious ass. Tiny, with great sound, great features, lots of built in connectivity for sources, nice remote, and driving a serious set of Martin Logan Motion 15i bookshelf speakers. with an echo dot this unit and some slightly smaller speakers can be a great mini portable system.

Excellent sound in a compact unit
A really outstanding little unit. The sound quality is amazing. There is plenty of power for my vintage Klipsch speakers and there are inputs for just about anything you need to connect! I use it for my CD player, Bluetooth streaming from my computer and phone, my turntable, and my TV! All this in a solid little aluminum box! The VU meters add that extra touch of cool! Some have said it runs a bit hot, but I haven’t experienced that. Gets slightly warm, but nothing I’d be concerned about. Excellent quality. I’m very happy!

Coax did not work on 2 separate units!
Everything but the coax worked or I would have given an even lower score. Real shame too. It(they) sounded good on inputs, like the Bluetooth. The rca was good and the optical cable worked too. the coax didn't work at all on the first and very limited sporatic cuts in and out on the second one. I gave up. I was afraid Amazon might not refund if I tried another one. They weren't wanting to refund the second unit until I had them call me. The man on the other end of the call helped get the refund process started. Hoping it all goes through and back on the card. I really liked the unit, shame that the coax didn't work and it was necessary for my player. And yes the player and cable are working fine. I'm listening to music on a different dac & amp as I write this.....

Clean/clear sound
It has a lot of features for a cheap amp. The power output is good. It's not 300 watts per channel unless you upgrade the power supply and have 2 Ohm speakers. I'm using it to drive a pair of Tritrix MTM (8 Ohms) speakers. Sounds great and tipping into the audiophile level of clarity. It isn't driving the Tritrix to full potential, but I don't need it to. It easily fills a medium sized room to party levels. The display options are great. The plethora of input options and pre out port makes it pretty versatile. Overall, I'm pleased.

So little, but so big...
I have been a happy user of Aiyima A07Pro (it's going to my teen's bedroom), so I am not new to the D-Class amps party and knew what to expect. I am pleasantly surprised though - the A80 elevates the experience to another level. Sound quality Aiyima, from the times of the first A07, has always impressed with sound quality. Independent measurements of channel separation, distortion and noise level show excellent values, but the load dependency always lurked in the shadows. Fear no more - the post filter feedback loop tackles those as well. In the end you get a pocket amplifier with reference quality. Amplifier has enough precision to drive speakers at a lower volume, but there also is enough punch in this little guy to shake even my relatively big room. Features and quality Not only is the sound excellent, but the overall feel of the amp is great. Build quality is stellar - very nice weight to the unit, good haptics when turning the wheel. The display is big and clear as well, and it can get very bright too. The multitude of inputs is very impressive. You have regular RCA, as well as TRS for symmetrical analogue connection. There is coaxial and optical SPDIF. There is a subwoofer out. There is a good implementation of Bluetooth and my personal best - USB-C. Super Easy to Use with my phone! The most awesome thing is how easy it was to connect from my phone. Less and less phones have analogue audio output and it starts to become a nuisance. Not here - Bluetooth works well and thankfully is not visible unless you select BT as input (the nasty neighbor will not connect to your amp uninvited). I am however super happy how the USB connection worked. I used an ordinary USB-C <-> USB-C cable to connect - and without any fuzz, configuration or going through options - fantastic sound from the speakers. No BT losses, no noises from the cables. The digital sound goodness in all its glory. What not to like? There are a few very minor issues though. Two actually. The menu navigation is a bit awkward: there is no dedicated BACK button, and you have to double-push the volume dial to go back. You don't use it frequently, but when you actually have to, it is weird. Second issue I have is that the display won't turn off completely. You can turn the brightness down from 100% to 10% in 10 steps - so it is not annoying at all. An "auto-off" mode would be nice here though. Summary Overall, the Aiyima A80 is a great little amp that really delivers. It sounds fantastic, looks and feels solid, and has all the connections you could want. It's easy to use, especially with a phone, and packs enough power for serious listening. Sure, the menu could be easier to use and it’d be nice if the display could turn off completely, but those are small complaints. If you want a powerful, great-sounding amp without spending a fortune, the A80 is a smart buy.
