Beautiful aesthetic earbuds, check your packaging, low volume UPDATE
First of all, I love how these look and feel! I wanted some open-ear earbuds that weren't so big, were attractive, had decent sound, were from a name brand, and were not as expensive as the BOSE options. For starters, I ordered the black and maroon and kept the maroon because I preferred the color. They look like jewelry. The earbuds paired to any device I needed them too right away. One plus? Physical buttons! The button controls are easy to use and responsive. The earbuds cuff around the outer edge of the ear. The size like with most open earbuds are slightly larger than most earbuds YET the case is very compact. Once inside the case, the earbuds are very tiny. No one seamed to notice me wearing them until I pointed them out, other than compliments on my new earrings. They stayed connected all day, and lasted about an 8+ hour day of constant wear. The earbuds open up to slightly clasp onto the ear but were comfortable. PROS Quick connectivity App controls Physical buttons Style and aesthetics Comfort: You won't know you're wearing them They do not fall out of your ear easily CONS Sound volume: Open-ear earbuds are designed to not go directly into the ear canal so that the person can still hear what is around them. Unfortunately, even for open-ear buds like the Oladance for example, these have abysmally quiet sound if in a busy environment or any environment not quiet like a library. The poor sound is the biggest con to me with these. The quality is good, the volume is not. NEUTRALS NEUTRAL: Price is lower than the BOSE but higher overall NEUTRAL: My item came without the box wrapped in paper like the black model. I inspected the buds. They were clean BUT the box was dirty! No instructions were included but the app has instructions included. Price: While cheaper than BOSE, BOSE is expensive for a reason. The sound quality here is good, but the volume is not. The build quality is good but again, the sound is the biggest boon or con to any earbuds. UPDATE TO 5 STARS FOR WATER SURVIVABILITY I dropped the left earbud in an empty clean toilet! I fished it out, dried it, disinfected the bud, blew in compressed air, baked it in a low-temp lab oven with active antimicrobial ions, air-dried, and powered off the earbuds... Lo and behold, it works and holds charge as if nothing happened despite being in water for at least 3 minutes and 100% ethanol for at least 30 seconds. It is not everyday you find earbuds that can survive water!

I normally hate earbuds, but I LOVE these!
I don't know if I have exceptionally narrow ear canals or sensitive ears or what, but I find normal earbuds somewhat painful. Both Apple AirPods and Beats Solo Buds start to hurt to wear after a while. I tried the kind that hook over your ears, and while that design is somewhat better for me, neither the sound quality nor the fit were very good if I let them sit in the cup of my ear, which meant I had to tilt them toward my ear canal which meant they were just as uncomfortable as traditional earbuds. When I saw the design of these JVC Nearphones I was so excited because they are actually meant to sit in the cup of your ear instead of in the ear canal. They are SO comfortable, I literally forget I'm wearing them. They are so cute and subtle, my husband said they looked like earrings. The sound quality is beautiful, Audiobooks, movie soundtracks, my favorite albums, podcasts, all come in crystal clear. Because they sit in the cup of the ear, they are not fully noise-cancelling, which is great for me as a mom because I can still hear if the kids need me. It also feels safer when I'm out jogging because I can still hear what's going on around me. Speaking of jogging, I can't believe how well these stay on even when I'm running and sweating, even though the "clip on" mechanism is so gentle it doesn't even pinch at all. It comes with a charging case that's actually smaller than the one that came with my beats earbuds, and when not using the case you can hook the ear cuffs together. And it has physical buttons, so I don't accidentally stop my music every time I brush my ear, unlike other earbuds. Each ear cuff has a single button on the top of the part that goes on the back of your ear: One click to play/pause, 2 clicks on the left to turn down the volume, 3 left clicks to turn it up, 2 clicks on the right to skip a track, 3 right clicks to go back. Super simple and satisfying to use.

New Essentials
I've been using these for a month and can say I've gotten enough time with them to feel I made a very good purchase with no regrets. Initially, I was unsure if they would be able to replace my Pixel Buds Pro and I was right to be unsure. For starters, these don't have noise cancelling which can definitely come in handy in very noisy scenarios and I wouldn't recommend using these if you're wearing a beanie or anything that will cover your ears. With that out of the way, the sound quality is okay with these. It's not the best, but the fact that I can wear these for over 8 straight hours with NO fatigue is mind-blowing. I can turn them up loud enough to hear my music over multiple people speaking over each other at the same time. My ears don't get itchy or sweaty from prolonged use and that alone makes them an absolute daily essential for me. What's even better is that I can have a conversation without taking them off. Transparency mode exists, yeah, but it's never as good as being able to have close to full situational awareness. The battery lasts all day for me and I don't even need to recharge after using both earbuds at the same time for my 8 hour shifts. The app is OK and offers some nice options for customizing button presses as there are physical buttons in lieu of pesky touch controls on both buds, but is not necessary. I can only NOT reccomend these for anything involving phone calls as it seems to change how the sound is processed and it becomes kind of ear-piercing to have prolonged conversations. This includes voice chatting with Discord as well: anything involving the microphone seems to make the sound output really weird. I will say that my friends didn't mind the microphone quality, which surprised me. For videos and gaming, they do offer a low-latency mode, albeit the app is required to enable it. TL;DR Great for extended use. Not the loudest, but loud enough. Able to have conversations and hear surroundings well. Incredibly comfortable and I love the design. Calls sound kind of awful, but is nice in a pinch. Low-latency mode available with app.

Excellent Sound Quality and Comfortable Fit!
I'm very impressed with these JVC nearphones. The sound quality is crystal clear, with rich bass and balanced highs that make music, podcasts, and phone calls enjoyable. They connect quickly to my phone, and the Bluetooth connection has been stable without any dropouts. They're also very comfortable to wear for long periods, and the lightweight design makes it easy to forget you're even wearing them. The battery life has exceeded my expectations, lasting through my workday with plenty of charge left. The charging case is compact and convenient to carry. For the price, these earbuds deliver excellent performance and quality. If you're looking for comfortable wireless earbuds with great sound and reliable battery life, I highly recommend these. They're an outstanding value and have become my go-to earbuds every day.

The most comfortable true wireless I've ever worn and I forget they're even there
I've tried AirPods, Galaxy Buds, bone conduction... everything either hurt after an hour or kept falling out when I run. These JVC Nearphones HA-NP1TA are completely different. Fit & Comfort is 10/10 This is the earcuff / clasp design everyone is talking about. They don't go inside your ear canal at all, they just clip on gently outside. No pressure, no pain, no sweaty ear tips. I have small ears with thick cartilage and AirPods always popped out - these stay secure even during ab workouts and long runs. I can wear them all day at work, with glasses and a hat, and honestly forget I have them on. The teal blue metallic arch looks like jewelry, not tech. Sound & Awareness Yes, they're open-ear so you won't get skull-rattling bass - that's by design. But the 16mm driver is surprisingly powerful and clear for an open design. The best part: I can hear traffic, my dog, my kids, and still enjoy my music/podcasts. I can have a conversation without taking them out. Perfect for commuting, running outside, and office calls. Features that actually matter: โข Super lightweight - under 5g feeling, you really do forget them โข Bluetooth 5.3 with Multipoint - I switch instantly between laptop and phone โข 24H battery life with case (about 8 hours on buds alone) and IPX4 waterproof/sweatproof so rain and gym sweat is no issue โข Single ear use - I use one when I need max awareness โข Touch controls and built-in mics for calls are crystal clear If you hated in-ear pressure, have ears that reject normal buds, or want to stay safe and aware while you listen - get these. JVC nailed it. These have become my daily driver for work, gym, and walks. Worth every penny. Pros: All-day comfort, secure fit, awareness, stylish, light, battery Cons: If you're a bass-head who wants noise cancellation, this open style isn't for you. Highly recommend!

Fix the sound being shipped at 50%
The sound was horribly low. Once I connected it to my computer, I noticed the sound was defaulted to 50%. I raised it to 100% and when I used it on other devices the sound was now fine. It became obvious that increasing it on the computer had an effect on the device itself and perhaps it is being shipped with a default volume of 50% on the device that raising it on devices doesn't directly affect it? I don't know, I am not an expert, but this worked for me and the sound is fine now. I docked one star for that. It often needs both hands to put on each ear piece which is contrary to another open ear set I have that is half the price. It can also feel uncomfortable right away, no wear time. I need to play around with it until it feels better and it can become painful over time. The cheaper one I have, I've worn for over 8 hours without it becoming uncomfortable. The difference? Padding on the inside. A small, silicone padding and flexible ring instead of the solid one with this JVC. I docked another star for that. The battery life is half of the cheaper one I have. I docked another star for that. Why did I not return it? The only thing this has over my cheaper one is that it connected to the computer and my Nintendo Switch quite easily and the cheaper one has problems connecting to anything not a mobile device. Once the sound issue was fixed, I now have to lower the volume a little bit on most devices. It is actually pretty loud now and the sound quality is good.

bad software made decent headphones unusable
passable sound quality and a great design that is comfortable on the ear, but the user interfacing and software/app are so bad I could never recommend these to anyone unless they desperately wanted headphones similar to these and they were at a steep discount

These are my ear buds from now on
I love these earbuds. If I lost them or they broke I would definitely buy them again. I wish they had more color options. I was never the kind of person that carried my earbuds on me all the time when I had in the ear buds but with these I find myself having them in all day long even if I'm listening to things or not. I love that I can still hear my surroundings and don't have to take them out when someone tries to talk to me. They're also super comfortable like other people say. With in-ear buds my ears would always eventually hurt no matter what kind of earbuds I got. But these almost never make my ears hurt only when I fall asleep laying on that earbud do I have a tiny bit of ear pain. I don't think they're waterproof but I've had a lot of success continuing to wear them when I'm in the shower with no issues. And they're inexpensive enough that if this eventually destroys them, now I know and I'll just buy another pair. The only critiques that I have are: 1. Sometimes the volume gets too quiet and I finally figured out if I go into the JVC app I can turn them back up again, whereas my phone volume button wouldn't turn it up any higher. And 2. The button controls on the buds don't always seem to do what I think they should primarily when I am wearing both earbuds and I want to pause on audible. Sometimes the button clicked pause doesn't work. I'm not sure why that is. There are different settings for if you're on a phone call versus listening to music and I'm not sure where audible falls on the devices controls. But if I only have one earbud in (which is most often), I'm only using one at a time. Then the controls are fine. This isn't enough to deter me from buying these again.

These are great!
Really pleased with these! Nice style, gets compliments. Clips comfortably, doesn't slide off, doesn't pinch. Music sounds clear. Works well for phone calls too! Highly recommend these even at their relatively high price point of $150. Update: 2 months later and these are my go-to. I like them better than my AirPods Pro and re omens them to anyone. And the battery life! Incredible!

Looks great
Good styling. Buy it for the looks. Audio wise and value for money wise soundpeats clip pro will be a better option.

Fitnis sturdy, but sound volume leaves much to be desired.
Meh. Not very loud. Bass is ok, but again, it's difficult to enjoy a beat if you cant hear it. Trying to use them as a hands free device is frustrating also due to volume. If I had to say a good thing about them, it would be that they are sturdy on your ears. Fits good and snug.
