Wake Up! Grab Your Brush and Put On A Little Makeup!
I'm sure you're wondering why I'm quoting System of a Down as my review title... well, there's a good reason for that! My daughter and I were visiting LA and she wanted to go check out Kavat coffee, which is a small shop owned by Serj Tankian, the lead singer of SoD. Of course, true to his heritage, they served Armenian coffee, which is very similar to Turkish coffee, so I had to try it. It was so good I had to take some to go! (Kavat is a cool little shop, too, if you find yourself in LA it's worth a visit. Really nice staff and they sell lots of SoD merch, so it's a great stop if you're a fan!) But I didn't realize at the time I'd need a special pot to brew it, but as soon as I did, I hopped on Amazon. This was a perfect intersection for me of quality, style, and price. It looks really nice hanging up at my coffee station, brews Turkish/Armenian style coffee perfectly, and with its traditional shape, naturally filters out excess grounds so you're not just drinking a cup of actual mud. The size is great, too, because I can brew two servings at once to share with my wife. If you've never tried Turkish or Armenian style coffee, you should really consider picking up a cezve (the proper name for this type of pot) and a bag of the super-fine ground coffee enjoyed in that part of the world and give it a try, you'll love it, and it's super easy to make!

Opa! Bravo to Greek coffee!
Just had my 2nd cup of Greek coffee from this lovely pot. My husband is a half Greek Texan. He is interested in his heritage and making Greek coffee. Love watching him explore and enjoy using this exquisite piece of art. The pot is a nice heavy weight, very good quality and workmanship. The brewing capacity is a 9oz pot and we enjoy 2 demitasse cups of wonderful, smooth, tasting Greek coffee. Perfect price and lovely. Videos have been extremely helpful. We even used an electric stove. Happy with our purchase.

Classic
I ordered the small size in matte copper and it is beautiful. By design, it makes a wonderful cup of Turkish coffee. I use 150 ml of water and a rounded tablespoon of coffee. Fills my china coffee cup to the top… perfect

This is a fantastic looking Ibrik, and made very well.
I love Turkish coffee. I bought the antique copper Ibrik by Demmex and it looks fantastic in our kitchen, beautifully hand engraved, and it's made in Turkey! It is very well made, and very sturdy, not a piece of junk like my last one was from another company. There is something you need to be aware of, the instructions say to boil milk in it before using it, this is true, follow the directions on how to do that, the Ibrik does have an odd odor but the boiling the milk process removes that. However, once you have finished that you need to season it, you do that by cooking coffee in it like you would if you going to make Turkish coffee, but don't add sugar or anything else, just black, you will need to do that 3 times, once that is done you're good to go. I want to address a few negative comments I read. Onesaid that the rivets are very sharp, not they are not sharp whatsoever. Another said the pot becomes discolored, it's copper, copper does that, even expensive copper, but if it gets wet then you need to dry it ASAP. The same person said the low angle of the handle is easy to catch fire from the stove, that comment made me laugh! If that handle catches fire it's because of three things, one is the flame is up on max, and two the flame are way overlapping the bottom of the pot, and three you have the handle over the flames. Any handle on any pot will burn or melt if you have the handle over the flame, for god's sake learn how to cook. That same person said the handle was unsecured, well if the handle was unsecured why didn't they return it? And the video they showed the handle is solidly secured. I don't understand people making bogus comments. Another said it was a pain the a$$ to use and store, Turkish coffee making is an art, it takes practice, and storage wise it's a lot smaller than any electric coffee maker so why is there trouble storing it? One comment said it didn't work on induction stovetop thus it's not real copper copper DOES NOT WORK on induction stovetops, HELLO! And lastly one said it was thinner than adverised, I just went and measure mine with micrometer and it showed 3mm thickness not 1 as advertised, and I took several readings around the outside and they all came out at 3mm, but the lip could be thicker then the rest of the pot. If you don't know how to make Turkish coffee, that's not the fault of the pot, all you have to do is watch You Tube videos and then practice, but the written instructions provided work just fine if a person can follow directions. Enjoy making and drinking Turkish coffee, I know I am!

Gorgeous!
Beautiful workmanship! Absolutely the real deal: looks exactly like those I see in coffee videos from Istanbul, and my Israeli friend who drinks Turkish coffee every day approved of this one as well.

Great quality
High-quality Turkish coffee maker. Traditional craftsmanship. Comes with a wooden spoon (to avoid scratching the interior when stirring the coffee before cooking) and a sachet of Turkish coffee. By scanning a QR Code, you'll be taken to a video showing how it's made and how to clean it before using it for the first time (with boiled milk!). The item was very well packaged. I recommend it.

DEMMEX
