Good but app is a pain

Says it works with all OBDII protocols it does not I've tried it on my 05 Impala and my 06 trailblazer which both use sae j1850 vpw would not even connect to the ECU not not buy if you have an older gm vehicle. Unsure what other vehicles it doesn't work with

Purchased to replace a 10 plus year old ELM 327 OBDII that disappeared. First, it looks very much like the previous one I had. I assumed that matching numbers would be enough to work the same. It was a bad assumption. I jumped the gun on ordering it because it was inexpensive. When I connected it to a Prius and started DrPrius, everything seemed to work. I did notice a questionable reference in the connection icon, in that it labeled the connection as OBDII-bad. BUT, it did let me run the app, and gave what I thought was accurate battery information. However, I had temperature readings that would indicate the battery temperature was above 170 C... So I ordered a different brand OBDII. That tool gave me more accurate data, and did not show as bad in the connection.
