great value for price, easy to use, great battery life. i use it all the time to break down boxes, but great, sharp blades, seems durable, easy to charge, easy to use. works better than many other cardboard cutters i ahve tried, so if you need a reliable tool for cardboard this is it. i bought another one to use for home also, so works great.

As a repeated Amazon user, my house tends to fill up with cardboard boxes rather quickly. After a short period of time, my husband and I find ourselves drowning in cardboard boxes in steps this tool! What a lifesaver to keep my house, organized and tidy in the midst of an Amazon package take over! I love how easy it is to use. Being cordless it is. I love how easy it is to use. Being cordless it is less of a hassle to bring out. My husband and I find ourselves looking for reasons to use the box cutter to break down boxes. I have even taken two using it as a tool to create fun and exciting crafts for my daughter, such as a cardboard house with doors and windows for some of those larger boxes. This tool also comes with its very own carrying case, which is very convenient for storage purposes. The tool and the charger can be stored in the same place, so there is no need to look for a lost power cord to charge it later on . The battery life lasts quite a while as we have had it for a few months and aside from charging it when I initially unpackaged it, I have not had to charge it since. It cuts through standard cardboard boxes with ease and little resistance although the thicker cardboard boxes do take a little bit more effort and push from the user. If you are in the same boat that I was in and need some relief in the cardboard box department I would absolutely recommend this tool to you!

I volunteer at our local food pantry and have to deal with a lot of cardboard boxes. We have lost our free trash pickup and are responsible for hauling our own garbage to the local transfer station for disposal. These cordless "electric scissors" as I call them are a godsend of technology! After charging them up they make a chore--which would be agonizingly slow via regular shears--no problem!! Zippadee doo-dah easy! They cut right through heavy cardboard boxes with ease, thus allowing us to manage a big pile of discarded boxes to reduce them down to three or four boxes that is not an overwhelming task for our volunteers to handle. Along with the scissors you will receive the charging cord and even a replacement blade. Great product but not suitable for use by unsupervised children or adults with questionable hand strength as this is a powerful cutting tool.

This cutter will not work for left handers. Luckily I am not left handed but my mom is and she can't use it. I have tendinitis in both my wrists. I like to craft boxes out of cardboard and so I can't cut with a ruler and box cutter very much without a great deal of pain. I can only use my wrists to make a few cuts a day and it takes a long time to finish a project. So I thought I might try this. I realized right away that I can't score cardboard with this cutter which was sad but not unexpected. It is very easy to cut through boxes and the safety button doesn't hurt my wrists. It's not too big or heavy and I can hold onto it easily. Which I like. Because it buzzes and bucks I do have to use a certain amount of hand strength to hold everything steady so I can injure my wrists with overwork with this cutter if I am not careful. Getting a straight cut is a bit tricky but it is possible. First and foremost I have found it best to make thick black lines to mark where the cut is intended, that is easy to see in all lights. A permanent black marker works best. Second it is important to know where the blade is in relation to the cardboard. I can see best from the side, both the blade and the cardboard line at the same time. I can also use the line on top of the cutter where two pieces of different colored plastic meet but it's not as accurate. I get the best line if I am only cutting half an inch of box off because the cardboard won't push on the side of the cutter. But it is possible with large pieces too I just have to be really careful. Even with all that I can't cut as accurately as I can with a box cutter and ruler. It's good enough for the most part and now I can cut more like twenty slices a day instead of only six. Which is nice. It has a good charge. It runs out of juice in a weird way though and will stall while cutting which can be a problem. All in all I do like this cutter and it has made making projects easier for me.

The Worx ZipSnip has turned out to be one of those tools I didn’t realize I needed until I bought it. It seems like we use it almost exclusively for cutting up Amazon boxes, and it makes the job quick and effortless. It cuts through cardboard smoothly and cleanly with very little effort compared to using a utility knife. The quality is fantastic. It feels well built, comfortable to hold, and easy to control. The safety features are also a nice touch, especially if you have other people in the house using it. Charging is simple, and the battery life is outstanding. It seems to last for months between charges, even with regular use. That’s been one of the biggest surprises and makes it even more convenient to keep around. While the price is a little higher than some basic cutters, I think it’s absolutely worth it. The convenience, ease of use, and long battery life more than justify the cost. It has saved time, reduced frustration, and made breaking down boxes much easier. If you have a lot cut cardboard, this tool is well worth adding to your toolbox. Highly recommended!

I thought the item was just something simple to help a box cutter work better. WRONG!!! This handy little device changes the dull and dreary task of cutting up boxes into happy fun and eagerly anticipated job that you will be fighting others to do. Here is why. This little unit has a nicely fitted carrying case and is very light in weight and has great colors.. Once charged this little thing will hunt for boxes when you turn it on. And when you find you pile of boxes, take a breath and then go at it. It took me a little time to figure out exactly how to hold it and the best way to cut up different sizes and types of cardboard. I attacked my huge car sized pile of boxes from many season of giving. And it did not take long to create a large and very fulfilling stack of dismantled boxes. In my life story, it has not always been easy to find things I let myself do for fun. But this little precision machine was wonderful fun. I kept finding more and boxes to dissect as well as little tricks to make it even easier and more fun to do. This is an incredible value for the money which makes it even more better when you consider all the fun you can have with it. I strongly recommend that you check this out

This little tool is amazing! It is lightweight, comfortable to hold and easy to use. We have a LOT of Amazon deliveries in our household, and our recyclables are only picked up every other week. Breaking down the boxes is a big help in getting everything to fit in the bin. I’ve just used the ZipSnip to break down 4 extremely heavy-duty large boxes into small squares. It took me just minutes to cut through the 3/8” thick material, and the device never faltered, balked or over-heated. I then cut up 6 smaller boxes & it zipped through like a knife through butter. At the end of all this, it still seemed to have plenty of juice left. My only criticism is that it takes a really long time to charge - 5+ hours out of the box. I may consider leaving it plugged in, so that it will always be ready when I need it.

The cutter works well on thinner cardboard effortlessly. For thicker cardboard you have to put some force on it to get it thru. That be said I would still buy it again. The battery life is really good and the blade sharpness has held up. It’s made well. Doesn’t feel flimsy when using it.

I never thought my life would come to a point where I would need a tool like this. I really didn't. The thing is, it creeps on you. First it's a new house. Then a dog. Then a kid. Then a second kid. Then new hobbies. It goes on. Forever. The number of boxes that show up at my door? I never thought I'd be that person. Never. Garbage day used to be something to fear, despise... even shudder at. Then I saw this thing. Did I consider simply cutting back on our Amazon purchases? I did. We tried. We had a budget. We left things intentionally in the cart for weeks to reduce deliveries. It worked... for a while. But the boxes kept coming. I unboxed this tool with skepticism. Self-loathing. I wanted reasons to return it. Surely I didn't need a rechargeable electric cardboard cutter. Then I started cutting boxes. Thinner strips. Smaller pieces. Perfect little cardboard confetti, all carefully engineered to squeeze just one more box into an already overflowing recycling bag long after the recycling bin itself had overflowed. I'm fairly certain the local garbage collectors have noticed the difference. I'm equally certain they appreciate it. I know I do. What have I become? Aside from an over-spender? Faster on garbage days. More productive. Disturbingly excited at the thought of dismantling cardboard. Now I look at the recycling pile and think... "This'll only take me about seven minutes." Five stars. My recycling bin has never looked more organized, and my neighbours probably think I've finally gotten my life together. Little do they know I'm just really, really good at cutting up boxes now.
