Good product.
Bought them about a year ago and just used one of the 3 tubes. Our pool deck has been unfortunately a popular gathering spot for pigeons in the spring and summer, particularly the tile ledge between the pool and spa. It has required frequent scrubbing and brushing to remove all their messy poop. Almost everything else I tried has failed. I applied it around the spa where they mostly gathered, using a caulk gun and disposable latex gloves. It is a clear sticky gel, not necessarily very esthetic, but it works really well. Each tube is rated to cover 10 linear feet. I applied it in a thin serpentine manner, about 1/2" in width, and one tube easily covered about 20'. I didn't use in excess or big globs. Shortly after, and for several hours, I saw the pesky pigeons land and immediately take off when they felt the sticky gel on their feet. There were few small feathers which I picked up afterwards, but no more pigeons by the next day or since. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Presumably the effect lasts about 6 months, which should easily carry me till the end of the hot Phoenix summer. I am sure the pigeons have already picked up another yard for their summer vacation. Good riddance. So far, I am impressed. Thank you.

GREAT STUFF WITH SOME CAVEATS
I AM SANDWICHED IN A ROW HOUSE BETWEEN NEIGHBORS WHO FEED THE BIRDS BREAD., SO, I AM PLAGUED BY HOARDS OF BIRDS. THE BIRDS WOULD SIT ON THE WROUGHT IRON FENCE OF MY PATIO OHH ...10 TO 12 BIRDS AT A TIME ON 2 SIDES OF MY 4 SIDED FENCE, ON THE REGULAR AND JUST DO THEIR BUSINESS LIKE IT WAS LITERALLY A BATHROOM. I NEVER UNDERSTOOD THAT GROUP THING. ANYWAY, I WENT NUTS TRYING DETERRANTS...PREDATOR DECOYS, SPINNERS, OILS, SPRAYS, HOME REMEDIES...YOU NAME IT. I HESITATED TRYING THIS GEL FOR FEAR OF BIRDS GETTING STUCK AND THE MESS. HERE IS THE REVIEW WITH THE CAVEATS THAT PREVENT IT FROM BEING A 5 STAR ITEM. I DECIDED TO SPREAD IT ALLLL AROUND ON EACH LITTLE 5 ISH INCH SECTION OF MY FENCE (DESPERATION) AS WELL AS ON THE BOTTOM WRUNG SECTIONS...I USED A CRAFT STICK AND A MEDIUM COATING, NOT THICK SO AS NOT TO GET THEM STUCK, BUT BOTHERED. WELL, IT TOOK A FEW DAYS BECAUSE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF BIRDS I AM DEALING WITH, BUT ONCE A BIRD LANDED ON MY FENCE ONCE, THEY DID NOT COME BACK. THEY MUST HAVE TOLD THEIR BUDDIES TOO. I GET TICKLED SOMETIMES WHEN I SEE THEM REMEMBER ABOUT THE GEL ON THE FENCE AND CHANGE DIRECTION MID AIR. THEY STILL SWOOP AND FLY DANGEROUSLY CLOSE TO MY HEAD, BUT, THEY DO NOT USE MY FENCE FOR THEIR BATHROOM, ANYMORE. IT IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE THING I HAVE FOUND. THE CAVEATS: 1. IT IS VERY STICKY AND NOT EASILY REMOVED SO IT LOCKS THEM OUT, BUT, LIMITS MY USE TOO. 2.THE BIRDS AND SQUIRRELS HAVE MESSED UP MY FURNITURE COVERS TRYING TO GET THE GEL OFF OF THEM. 3. I HAVE TO KEEP GOING OUT TO CLEAN OFF THE FEATHERS AND MISC THAT ARE CAUGHT...BUT WORSE, THE ZILLION INSECTS CAUGHT.. (YUCK)..WHAT CAN I SAY..I BOUGHT SOME MORE.... GOOD LUCK.

Works great - No birds - No bird droppings - Yay
This stuff does exactly what it is supposed to do. Discourage birds from roosting and building nests wherever you apply it. We had birds building nests under our deck and leaving droppings all over the patio beneath. I applied this product to the areas where the birds liked to hang out and now they stay away. It is very effective and durable but harmless to the birds. It just feels sticky to their feet and they stay off. It annoys them. Be careful applying it or you will learn firsthand, how well it works. I was applying it to the area we needed to treat and got just a dab of it on the side of the caulking gun. No big deal till I brushed my and against it and tried to rub it off on a cloth which only spread it on my hand further and managed to get it on the other hand too. Now I needed to go inside to clean up which means I had to touch the door knob. Now there is goo there too. Stay with me. Now at the sink I realize water is not taking it off and the knob there now has a slight residue too. Washing my hands is only spreading things around BOTH hands now. And it is so slight and barely noticeable but the feel of it is unmistakable. Now my wife comes home and asks me what is on the door knob and why does her hand feel sticky. I loudly proclaim, "Don't ... touch ... anything!" I thought the alcohol in hand sanitizer would help but I was wrong. In the end the only thing that worked for me was to just rub hard with a towel until it went away. Apparently the birds learn faster than I do.

Works great if your goal is to murder small birds
I went into this thinking it was a humane deterrent... birds would land, not like the sticky gel, and go build their nest somewhere else. Turns out it’s a bird torture chamber - basically a mouse glue trap but for birds, where they are left to slowly die from dehydration or starvation. Even if you rescue one early, it’s covered in industrial-strength goo and not able to fly again. So - if you don't want bird nests, but don't mind a pile of dead birds, then this product is for you!

Sticky and mineral spirits cleanup
Like many I have a fence that's frequented by birds that like to sit there and poop. I tried a couple of physical type barriers with no luck. So, I purchased this product. As you can see in the picture the fence is narrow metal. I first tried placing a dot of the product about every 4 inches, didn't work. So then I applied it according to the self-help video. A continuous line along the entire fence. It's been a week and fpor the most part no birds. A couple landed and promptly flew away because of the stickyness of the product. If they do land on it some of there feather remain behind stuck to the product and there wings kinda fling some of the product around. If you use this product I highly recommend you wear some type of gloves while handling it. I used latex throw away gloves. The tube says mineral spirits for cleanup. Be sure to read the instructions! Addendum: it's been 8 months since I applied this to the top rail of my fence. I was gone from the premises during that time. I found the bead of product totally mashed down but still sticky. The best part, there are no birds anywhere around my yard and that means no bird poop either. I cleaned off the residue with a putty knife and applied a fresh bead. This one will last much longer as like I said there are no birds in sight to land on it...... My thoughts: it is very sticky and you'll need throw away latex gloves while applying. But it did work for me. I upgraded to 5 star.

DO NOT PUT OVER CAR!!
This goop worked well to prevent birds from sitting on our back wall. However, after it rained for a few days here in Phoenix (monsoon season), it left quite a few smudge marks on my car. I put the repellent on the branches over my car in hopes it will prevent birds from continually pooping on it and while it prevented some birds from perching, the resulting mess it left has me wishing for the days it was just poop on the windshield. It is very difficult to clean and I'm sure is not great for the exposed car machinery (windshield wipers, headlights). **UPDATE** It has rained and this goop has now adhered to my car windows and will not clean off. DO NOT PUT THIS ANYWHERE YOU PARK YOUR CAR! Learn from my mistake, I am seriously regretting putting this over the branches near my car. If you plan to use this near any glass, be prepared to use a little elbow grease to clean it up. I would recommend placing ONLY in areas that will not be seen or need to be cleaned ie. roof tiles. An FYI, use dots about this wide (___) when applying. I noticed people said it trapped birds and after reviewing their photos, it looks like a majority of the complaints show a wide patch of goop, which understandably creates a tar pit that is not easy for birds to escape.

Got rid of pigeons nesting under solar panels!!!
This stuff has legitimately worked on our pigeon problem. We had solar panels put in last summer and didn't think to get them surrounded with the chicken-wire-type obstruction. As a result, this spring a LOT of pigeons decided to make homes underneath our panels (~4 inches of space between the panels and the roof). I've been up twice and disbursed them, and got rid of their nests, but they just came back. This was a pretty bad problem at my house because there were about 15 to 20 pigeons living under my solar panels and pooping SO MUCH poop in my backyard, where my 4 small children play. Anyway, I bought this stuff after getting rid of their nests twice. I went up a third time and used a little caulk gun to lay this stuff down in little zig-zag patterns all around the perimeter of my solar panels, NOT on them, on the roof tiles around the sides, so they couldn't get underneath the panels without wading through it. It was a little difficult and a little scary to crawl around all over my roof doing this, but it took a lot less time and was a LOT cheaper than installing chicken wire. I have to say this: I thought the initial results were disappointing. The pigeons returned and were all strutting around on my roof within a few hours of my finishing. I was SO pissed. However, after about an hour of trying to figure out how to get back under the solar panels they decided they didn't like the sticky stuff and they left. There were 2 birds that toughed it out and got back under the solar panels, but I think they really didn't like the sticky stuff either because once they were under there, they wouldn't leave. It was about 2 days before they decided they were hungry enough to push back through it and left for good. I can claim that 2 weeks later NO PIGEONS HAVE RETURNED! I am very pleased with this stuff so far, but if it doesn't last very long and the pigeons come back within a month or so, I'll get back on here and amend my rating.

Resolves the issue, but need to be careful
until used - did not understand how it actually works, on site and in instruction on the tube - very wishy washy, safe for kids, birds, just repels birds, etc. What is it: 1) it is sticky gel, without scent 2) when applying in a line or as dots, but not heavy - bird arrives, finds something sticky under feet, does not like it, flies away - it is not washed away by rain or gets non-sticky over time (very long-lasting) The good: It works. After 2 weeks - the situation on the balcony got better. They still try to arrive, but no parties and love shack building attempts) and arriving much less. Before that there was a risk of a party club creation with no birth control space under the air-con box.)) The 'not so good': - it is quite sticky - washing if off with just "Fairy" - does not work. Need something more heavy duty like Solvol. Solvol helps, but it also takes some time even with it to get that out. Especially funny to unintentionally touch that space with hand or elbow and then find out that you're in that glue all around the cloth. (did not get too heavy so don't know if it washes away with regular laundry.) Basically - just need to be careful and think where you are applying it. - it is to be applied smart, not all over the place, and not in space where it can get unintentionally spread across the house Good stuff, when you need it and nothing else works. Just careful
