5% Lidocaine Numbing Cream, Pain Relief Burn Itch Cream 1.35Oz, 2PK

It helped quite a bit for laser tattoo removal! I recommend this easy to use cream. I apply a generous layer of this 5% lidocaine cream and wrapping it with plastic wrap an hour to two hours before my appointment made a massive difference. I think it's more effective applying it this way. The zaps wasn't as bad but still noticeable, and I was able to breeze through my sessions without taking any breaks. I didn't have any side effects from using this cream. I bought two because the price was great and I need enough to last for all of my treatments. Will buy again if needed.

I tested this numbing cream out for a tattoo before I really used it for what the main purpose of this purchase was. It was amazing and completely numbing for the tattoo. Didn’t feel a thing. Now as for the main reason I purchased it. I just finished my 4th tattoo laser removal treatment. I used the nurses numbing cream and lidocaine skin needle injections and the cold air machine all at the same time for my first 3 sessions. Each one was unbelievably painful and hard to sit through each session being an hour long taking breaks of rest here and there. Now that being said my tattoo that’s being laser removed is all dark black from my knuckle to my elbow. Didn’t know if i could go through with anymore treatments with the laser. Then I tried this miracle cream. Before my laser session I shaved my arm, cleaned it, had a hot rag over my arm from knuckles to elbow to open the pores, globbed this cream on the tattoo area, wrapped it with plastic wrap, drove to my appointment (30 minutes), re-applied and rewrapped the area again once arrived to appointment, then right being they started the laser tattoo removal treatment I took off the wrap on my arm so they could clean and start it. Results….I DIDN’T FEEL ANYTHING hardly at all. Laser tattoo removal is one of the most painful things you can do and this made it a walk in the park. You feel slight slight zaps but absolutely nothing compared to before. I will forever keep buying this product. Thank you so much for this miracle cream.

This product worked well for my purpose--which was a tattoo. Some things to note from my experience-- could barely feel line art all with this. My tattoo was a light, thin line work with a few black filled shapes on my sternum and ribcage. This was my first ever tattoo--and I don't care about the "you have to feel it to earn it." My thick black shapes I could sure as heck feel it however I am sure it was nothing compared to how it would be without it. This began to wear off for me about 1 hr in. My tattoo was about 1 hr and 30 minutes long. For the hour I actually felt like nothing at all (aside from the shapes) I was shocked! Expected to just have it take away some of the pain. **I pass out, and faint from needles and pain, so this was fantastic. Here was my process: (***TEST for 20 min before using fully to ensure there's no reaction!!)) ---I gently exfoliated the area with soap and water. Let dry. The cream will stay on for about2 hrs and 30 minutes. ---I softly spread the full 2 small bottles on the area the tattoo was going to be, as well as going a bit beyond it just in case. I lathered this crap on like cake frosting. it was THICK and trust me just do it that way. It was like half an inch thick. Any areas that were thin, I felt more than others, but it wasn't bad because it just then went back to being numb in a more covered area. ---Lightly layed cling wrap on it, (not wrapped around whole body i let the cream hold it) and sat still for atleast 1 hr, 30 min. Then ate a nice full lunch, drank lots of water, took a tylenol. Throughout the process ensure the whole thing is evenly coated when you shift around it does move a bit so move it back. My tattoo was already drawn and ready to go at the appointment. i waited until she was set up, then wiped off the stuff with a paper towel, and then used a paper towel with water to get the remaining off. This was about 2.5 hrs later. Once the stuff comes off the timer starts clicking so try to wait until the last possible minute to wipe it off. Personally, I shaved off almost 1.5 hours on my tattoo because of this--my artist got to finish the whole thing with no breaks because I simply didn't feel it. Frankly, I saved money because of this stuff. Money well spent even if I used all of it. The end result--very little redness and a thin line tattoo that doesn't look messed up because I would have been moving around.

Brought this before getting my chest tattooed. I’m pretty heavily tatted but am sick of the pain so decide to try this. I went to my artist and he shaved the area and applied the cream and put Saran Wrap on it. We left it on for a hour, he then wiped it off and reapplied it a second time very thick (he definitely put the cream thicker in certain areas) and we tattooed another area of my body and let it sit longer on my chest, so it was a total of 2.5 hours on. When the needle first touched me it was a 100 percent complete numb and I was shocked. This lasted 1 hour but the areas the cream wasn't applied that thick I could still feel but the feeling was dulled. After a hour and fifteen minutes I can tell it was wearing off. At the 1 hour and 30 minutes mark I felt everything again. I am going to try this again and do the hot shower and shave myself then apply at home and see if it lasts longer that way.

I don't know if it was the cream or the method I read from a review on the reviews for it but using this for my laser tattoo removal was an absolute game changer. I was 5 sessions in on removing two big tattoos, one on my arm another going down my spine and the pain from these sessions was getting unbearable, since they increase the energy of the laser every treatment, which increases the time of the session as the laser diameter gets smaller with every bump up in energy. The pain is just horrible, 20x's worse than getting the tattoo and that was with using another numbing cream, which I won't name because I really think it was the process that helped. I honestly didn't know if I would be able to complete the sessions, I'm only about half way through, that's how bad it was. I read Angie's review from this review board and followed this method... 2 hours before the appointment I took a shower, shaving and cleaning the area, ending the shower with about 3-5 minutes of the hottest water I could bare directly on the tattoo to open up the pores. Then I got out dried the area well, lathered on a thick layer of this cream and wrapped it with plastic wrap for about an hour... Then an hour before the appointment I put a heating pad on the wrapped area for about 3-5 minutes, then removed the plastic wrap, reapplied another layer of the numbing cream and wrapped it again and left it wrapped until the appointment. I also took 800mg of ibuprofen and while having the session done I listened to music with noise cancelling headphones. From sessions 5 to 6 there is a significant jump in the energy level of the laser, but I barely felt a thing, didn't have to take any breaks and was not squirming or groaning in the chair like I have been every other session. My laser tech was shocked at how well I did and asked about the procedure, and cream, to let all of her other customers know about it. The numbing effect of this cream does kick in after about 20-30 minutes, and it does help dull the pain for minor procedures or skin irritation. However, I found that the effect doesn’t last very long maybe an hour at best. It’s decent for short-term relief, but for extended numbing, it did not meet my expectations. The texture is smooth, and it applies easily, which is a plus. Overall, it’s okay, but not the strongest out there.

Works great! Make sure you test it to get the timing right but it definitely works great!

Yes, it works, if you properly prepare. The photos attached were for a 1.5 hr outline/touchup/coverup followed by 3 hrs of blue coloring. It completely numbed me the entire time except for the last 30 minutes. At which point the effectiveness dropped to about 50%, so, still completely worth it. I would suggest applying a ‘test sample’ the day prior to your tattoo. Do this by applying a small amount to the back of your hand and cover it with wrap. Let it sit about 30 minutes. This will make sure you don’t have a reaction to this cream (as some people do). If you don’t have any redness then you are clear. The day of, here’s what I did (2 hours prior to appointment): - Hot Shower (opens pores). - Apply A LOT of cream (I used 1 complete bottle at this point). - Wrap the area with plastic wrap. - Wrap the area with additional heat source (I used a heating pad). This helps keep your pores open and let's the cream really get into your skin. - After 1 hour, I removed wrap, reapplied more cream (1/2 of new bottle), rewrap area, cycle heat source (I started cycling my heat source on and off because the numbing cream was really starting to take effect at this point because I realized I couldn't feel the heat from the pad anymore and did not want to overdo the heat applied to my arm prior to the appointment). - 15 minutes before appointment I removed wrap and wash the area with warm water until all cream and residue was completely gone. Two things to note at this point: 1: At this point, the texture of my skin was different, almost 'puffy', this was not due to the cream but rather the amount and length of heat I had applied to the area. 2: The color of my skin was red, looked like I had a bad sunburn. Again, this was due to the amount and length of heat applied. - Both these points were remedied by thoroughly cleaning the area with water, and by turning on the AC in my car to full coldness, allowing cold air over my arm on the drive to the shop. - By the time I arrived to the shop all the redness and texture difference in my skin was completely gone (no need to freak out my tattoo artist). - It was about 30 minutes or so from the time I removed the cream and the time my tattoo artist started tattooing. All in all, this product did work for me. But, I did do a lot of prep for it to do so. Simply applying this to your skin would probably not be effective if you are looking to get a tattoo. Remember; actually sitting for the tattoo is only about 5% of the work. The remaining 95% comes from property preparing for the tattoo and the aftercare of the tattoo.

Was not effective.. within less than an hour the effect was gone.. had to endure another 3 hours of getting inked in much pain.. there are other options of up to 40% lidocaine, which I was not aware of and may have been better.. Will be trying that for next session..
