The Visionary DX-m monocular is a compact alternative to traditional style binoculars. Despite the budget price tag this monocular features high quality fully coated optics and has a robust build. The rubber armoured body not only protects the optics it also makes them comfortable to use. The 10x magnification is high powered for a pocket style monocular and would be suitable for birdwatching/nature or general use. This level of magnification is the most versatile and provides comfortable viewing for a wide range of uses. A 10x25 monocular makes an ideal gift for someone with an interest in binoculars but no specific use in mind. Especially suitable for people who cannot comfortably use Binoculars. Includes Case and Wrist Strap Review: Surprisingly Good - I've given it 5 stars for being what it's supposed to be and a bit better. There are, of course, better monoculars and more expensive ones. However, for the money I was pleasantly surprised. It works really well. It's small, handy and easy to find space for in a pocket or a bag. It's not so expensive you worry when the kids demand a go on it. The magnification was surprisingly strong and the image clear. For an inexpensive but quality, handy sized monocular you couldn't do much better at this price point. Review: Useful item - Lightweight monocular, reasonable quality if it's what you need. Had a problem with the Royal Mail delivery but the seller was friendly and proactive in sorting it out

Monocular
I wanted to replace a set of lost low power binoculars (cheap, brought from Lidl, very good!) which I tended to use with one eye any way since they were usually used by several of us, and by the time the eye piece has been adjusted... This is not a precision piece of optics, what do you expect for the price, but it can be useful to identify distant objects, pick out detail etc. This weekend I used it to watch a couple of crows (15 m away) feeding on a beach, watching their technique for cleaning sand from their food using two toes. Having said that, I think a birdwatcher would be disappointed with this product, but as a "I wonder what that is?" device, it's good. My score is based on value for money What I like:- Small: Comes with a belt case: Fits well in pocket / hand: Quite easy to focus - see below: Texture/feel What I didn't like:- Image is poor in anything but the centre: Focusing could use more of the movement available, it's confined to quite a small angular movement: The lanyard is too small, fine for a child: The lanyard is attached by a screw that can (does) very easily loosen. What I would have preferred:- A larger objective lens: Maybe a little more magnification - I'm not convinced of the 10x advertised: Crisper focusing over a wider angular range of movement of the focusing ring: Closer focusing: Better optics across the whole image.

Excellent, really clear bright view and very powerful
Excellent, really clear bright view and very powerful. Not top quality build but for the price excellent, very pleased. It is also very light in weight terms

You get your money's worth.
Probably worth the ยฃ10 I paid, but not high quality. There is no focus (just the eye-piece adjustment). The image is adequate, but has those coloured edges. Convenient to have in your pocket or in the car.

Don't bother
The focus control allows focus from near to medium range, but hits the end stop before you can focus into the distance. Tested by three different people to make sure it wasn't an issue with eyesight. Therefore totally useless, and returned the same day.

more than happy with the overall performance
Needed small scope that I could put in my pocket when out walking, this fits bill perfectly, more than happy with the overall performance . Good value simple but pocketable if you don't want to carry binoculars with you.

Has developed a focus problem
This is a reasonable simple monocular. It is intended to be the cockpit viewer on our yacht for the "what's that" moment. Initially it had a reasonable image and can be focused. It the developed a fault whereby you could not adjust the focus to get a clear image. I then took the thing to pieces and discovered thar the eye piece lens holder has a spiral slot which makes it move in and out by running on a plastic pin. The pin had sheared off. We made various attempts to drill out the pin and replace it but it is just too fiddlely so I gave up. So not very robust
