Mattress Topper Super King Bed 7cm Thick with Bamboo Fibre Cover

This review relates to the Bonnvia mattress topper 7cm Standard support (not the extra firm version). So far, so good. Have used this for about a month now and it has done a good job in making my bed much more comfy and thereby relieving my bad back during the night. It was delivered in a box the size and weight of which meant I could easily manage to move along the floor into the bedroom. It was simple to unpack using the cutter provided to open the plastic wrapper. I have no large floorspace so I did all this on the bed. I then laid out the topper to expand before use. The recommended time was stated as 48 hours, which I adhered to. I had a sofa bed to sleep on for those 2 nights, so it wasn't inconvenient. Customers who have other spaces or spare bedrooms could of course lay out the topper there. When the topper had fully expanded it fitted well on the mattress, was true to the 7cm depth advertised, and the description of the removable zip off cover was also accurate. The topper is advertised as memory foam but I do not know how this could be verified. However, it consists of 2 layers and these can be interchanged to provide 2 separate levels of support. I have used mine with the white softer foam uppermost, and it seems to be the right level of support for me. Overall I'm pleased with this purchase and would recommend it for adding comfort to a hard mattress and also for offering medium support. With the blue foam layer uppermost, I would imagine that the topper would be slightly firmer, which some people would prefer. Just bear in mind that this topper comes in different thicknesses and levels of firmness, so you need to choose the version most suitable for you.

I had been pondering a new mattress for the last few months to replace our old tired one which had become uncomfortable, causing some sleep issues. Not quite ready to commit, and with other expenses on the horizon I decided to look into a good quality topper instead, hoping it would provide a more cost effective route to comfort. After weeks of research I settled in the Bonvia (king size) and I couldn't be happier with my choice. It came in a manageable box with the topper well rolled and wrapped in protective film. The included tool made it easy to unpack without risk of damaging the product. Once laid out I left it to expand and settle for 48 hours which also gave the product time to breathe and allow any smells to dissipate. The straps that go over the mattress are well made and adjustable for a good fit. The cover is soft on top and grips well on the bottom. The cover zip seems of decent quality. I tried the soft side first for 2 weeks which was great for my wife, but a little soft for me. We decided to change to the firmer side for a couple of weeks to compare. The process was simple and instructions are provided. The 'firm' side is not firm, but it's noticeably firmer than the soft side. After several weeks of sleeps I can say with confidence that this topper has made a HUGE difference to the quality of my sleep. It's soft but not too soft, no smells, no annoying noises, successfully covers up the uncomfortable old mattress underneath, fits well, doesn't move around and is much less expensive than shelling out for a new mattress. I would recommend to anyone in a similar situation to myself. Excellent product.

This is a lovely topper. It stays put on the mattress and is cooling with the bamboo cover. It doesn't slide about either, there are little dots on the bottom of the cover which stop any sliding. The cover is removable for washing. It came rolled and shrink wrapped, and needed a night of expansion to get the maximum lift. There was no noticeable chemical or manufacturing smell as it aired out and expanded. I loved this mattress topper. It was just the right size and thickness for my 4ft small double. And it gives pain relief if your mattress is too soft. HOWEVER: Even though it felt comfortable and soft, I found it too firm for the pressure pain I have in hips and shoulders. This topper would be brilliant for firming up a too-soft mattress, or adding just a little softness to a firm mattress. I would recommend this one for that purpose. Please note, I have spine problems, so finding a topper that will work with both spine and pressure pain is very hard for me. If you are familiar with the story of 'The Princess and the Pea', then that's me! I even tried a quilted cloud topper on top of this, as I really didn't want to part with it, as it is so well made. This seller works with customers and they really do care that you are satisfied with their product. I contacted them as this mattress was just too firm for me. They reply to queries through Amazon very quickly. They offered a full refund if donated to a charity, or a 50% refund if you could find a friend who would like it. I gave mine away to my next door neighbour, to put on top of a hard camping bed to soften it a bit when tent camping. He said it was very comfortable, as he likes a lot of support and prefers a firm mattress. So I had the 50% refund. I would give this part of their service more than five stars if that was possible! This firm are marvellous with their customer service. It's such a shame the topper was too firm for me, as the bottom layer is firm, and I found the softer top layer wasn't deep enough to cushion the pressure pain. Please can you do a topper which just has 7cm of that softer top filling please, Bonnvia! :) Although this mattress topper was not for me, I have given this item 5 stars as the topper is lovely and well made. It just wasn't right for me, but that wasn't the topper's fault. It's so rare to find a firm that cares and will actually offer to refund if there is a genuine reason. I wish all sellers were as good as this one.

Don’t normally submit product reviews however I bought my King Size 7cm mattress topper on 21st August and received it by prime. Took it out of the box and used the cutting tool to unpack it from its compression plastic wrapping. I was truly astonished by how quickly it began to assume its full form and shape. NO LUMPY , BUMPY creases that would take days or even a week like other expensive branded items I have had in the past. NO horrible smell from topper either. There is always a faint new foam smell but this rapidly dissipated when left to air. Furthermore I was contacted by Bonnvia to find out if I was happy with my purchase, but I had noticed that in the 3 days since I bought it that the price had dropped significantly so I told them I wasn’t happy because of this and left it at that. To my amazement I got a reply next day to say they were refunding the difference in price. Yup real old fashioned customer service and yup my refund has been processed by my payment method. Lost for words - thought this was a thing of the past. Thank you Bonnvia for respecting your customers. Yes I will use this brand again in the future once I have my 2nd bedroom refurbished.

Product was well packaged. When opened there was no smell from the product. Allowed it to breathe for suggested 48hrs before use. It’s comfortably soft to lie on and my lower back pain from my mattress has disappeared. I’m very happy so far with this Topper and would recommend it. It’s true to size for a King mattress and the straps keep the topper in place.
