Don't need maps or ECG? Don't need golf data? Buy this Garmin!
First off, apologies for some photos being a little blurry. I was battling my phones camera, but some are pretty good. Please know the display is extremely clear and crisp with vibrant colors and fun transitions from various screens. YouTube has plenty of reviews, but I paid my own money for all my Garmin watches. Tactix 7 Pro Solar, Epix Pro AMOLED, and this 50mm Instinct 3 AMOLED.I love those two others, but this Instinct 3 AMOLED called to me due to its cool factor and its build character harkining back to my former Ironman and G-Shock days, but with modern smartwatch luxuries. It just looks "cooler" to me than the smooth and sleek top tier models I also own. Additionally, I just love watches and collect a select few brands with mechanical movements among the majority. This Garmin Instinct AMOLED 50mm is extremely light weight. It's actually lighter than the heavy duty strap I show in these photos. Left in it's original offering, you may forget its on your wrist until it notifies you about your newest Amazon delivery.....maybe another watch....😁I found I wanted the AMOLED screen for it's highly enjoyable bright and colorful display and I already have an MIP screen on my Tactix 7 Pro Solar. I was honest with my usage with maps and determined I basically never use them, so the lack of maps didn't matter to me, and again I already own other options. It does all the fitness tracking under the sun and has incident detection for many activities that most users would logically want to have. The LED flashlight in either mode is very usable and plenty bright. It seems to be, from memory, at least as good as my other two. It has the red/orange/green shift feature like other more expensive models and this feature is programmable for sunset and sleep timing for either color or a mix.The buttons feel quality and tactile with a felt click when interacting with them. It does not have a touch screen, but I like that. My other two do and I disable it on both. I don't use the touchscreen for anything but manipulating maps and as stated above, that's rare. This watch has no maps to move around the screen, so a touchscreen doesn't add value or cool factor for me, and the price reflects this.Any quick attach/detach 26mm watch band will fit this watch, to include any of the ones for my other two Garmins mentioned aboveThe charger port is along the band attachment point in this model. This may seem inconsequential, but it isn't. This allows the port to be in open air in the gap from the bottom of the watch and the lugs where the band connects. This allows it to dry and not be subject to constant skin produced wetness and keeps the charging/data transfer contact from being against your skin. This results in less irritation for the wearer and longer service life of the plug port.I could go on and on, but my thumbs are getting annoyed with me typing on my phone. This is a great heavily featured Garmin for a price that seems to make sense to me. It could be your first and only Garmin for long time unless you are a watch fiend like me. If your looking to go Garmin but don't want to spend $600 plus, you need to consider this model. The solar model is likely as good with potentially endless battery life (claimed by Garmin), but it won't be as pleasant to interact with. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk!

Perfect upgrade!!!
I am a huge fan of majority of all Garmin products especially their smartwatches and after holding onto my Venu Sq 2 after a couple years I decided to treat myself to an upgrade and since I am more of an outdoors guy, I saw that the Fenix 8 or Instinct 3 would fit my needs more than the other options under the adventure category.I have to say I cannot be more impressed with this watch than I was expecting to be out the box. The features on this model are insane and didn't even think this watch could be capable of the things it can do!! The connectivity is strong and stays connected with further distance from my phone than my Sq 2 so that's great for when I need to step away and get things done without being glued to my phone all the time. The accuracy and fitness tracking is definitely a plus and reads almost identical to my other medical devices I use to monitor certain levels for heart, oxygen, and blood pressure vitals which I another reason I love Garmin products because they tend to have the most accurate readings compared to most other fitness watches. I love the overall design of the watch and will have to get used to the fact this watch does not offer touchscreen but that's not a huge deal breaker for me as I don't really care for that myself as the 5 operating buttons are quick to learn and after maybe a day of playing around with it, they are now second nature to navigating my new watch. I am honestly in love with this thing and so glad I decided to make this buy as a late bday present to myself after 6 months of deciding haha!Even though this is built to handle the rough life of the outdoors I added a screen protector and upgrade the band with an aftermarket product as you can probably tell from the pics I added I did love the feel of original band that comes included but I like to add a little personal style for myself so don't take that as a negative. I would honestly recommend this 100 times over and over!!!

BATTERY LIFE
My husband has had 3 Garmin watches over many years and this by far is his favorite! It’s rugged, has fitness tracking and the battery life is exceptional lasting about 30 days between charges…unheard of! If you’re on the fence, do it, it’s an amazing watch!

Excellent rugged watch
Excellent watch - I upgraded to this one from my Fenix 6 pro, and it was definitely a good decision, primarily because of AMOLED screen and much better interface overall.

A great smart watch that handles whatever comes
If you need a tough watch that provides a lot of data then this is the watch for you. It is great for tracking most of your physical fitness and cardio related information. The Garmin community is very supportive and you have a wide selection of apps and functions that are easily accessible. The battery charge lasts for up to a month depending on how you use the watch, and it recharges very quickly.

Solid Garmin Instinct AMOLED 50mm Great Features, Heart Sensor Needs Work
The Garmin Instinct AMOLED 50mm has become part of my daily routine, and overall, I’m really impressed with what it offers. The AMOLED screen is bright and easy to read, even in full sun. It’s rugged and built to last, exactly what I wanted for fishing, workouts, and everyday use.One of my favorite features is the tide data, which is incredibly helpful when I’m out kayak fishing. Being able to check tide times directly on my wrist saves me time and helps me plan better trips. The built-in flashlight is another handy tool, especially for early morning launches or late-night packing. On the fitness side, the watch really shines. There are tons of workout options built in everything from treadmill, strength training, HIIT, cardio, and even rep counting. It automatically tracks sets and reps pretty accurately, and you can customize workouts through the app. I like how it keeps track of effort and recovery too, giving you a better idea of how your body’s doing over time.Battery life is excellent. Even with the AMOLED screen, I’m getting several days on a full charge depending on how much GPS I use.Now for the one downside: the heart rate sensor. It’s just not as accurate as I expected, especially during strength training or any workout where there’s a lot of wrist movement. It tends to lag or give inconsistent readings. For most casual use it’s fine, but if you’re serious about tracking your heart rate, you may want to pair a chest strap.Overall, it’s a great smartwatch for active people who spend time outdoors, work out often, or just want a durable and feature-packed watch. I’d definitely recommend it, with the small caveat about the heart rate sensor.

My watch last 28 days on a charge
Bought this after leaving my previous garmon on the finder of my Jeep and went for a ride. Lost that one but loved it all the same. I upgraded to this and love this even more. It has so many exercise features and you can create your workout and set timers. I purchased the 50mm but honestly the 45mm my son bought based on my recommendation is so readable. The 50mm size just helps my old eyes at night. I get about 28 days battery life, yes 28 days. You can change the looks of the face to your liking. Great quality, worth every penny.

Prawie doskonały
Szkoda że nie jest kompatybilny z uchwytami na kierownicę. Nie mam też czujnika oświetlenia

Instinct 3: a satisfied experience
Instinct 3 is worth the price and features. The only annoying thing about the watch is the quality of its strap. This trap is obviously not garmin standard. I think garmin needs to improve upon such low quality straps.Other than this I found absolutely no issue at all. Watch is amazing. Offers excellent battery life of over 20 days. Its construction is sturdy and robust. Doesn’t scratch easily. Amoled display gives a new glowing face to the watch.Overall I love the instinct 3 experience so farI am already using Epix Gen 2 pro as well so instinct 3 offers me sth sturdy for my outdoor adventures and i do-not have to worry about damaging the watch at all

AMOLED brilliance and amazing battery life
I’ve maxed out the settings on this Instinct 3 50mm, Pulse Ox at night, high-intensity torch, you name it, and the battery life is outstanding. The screen is beautiful and super easy to read. I don't use always-on because the gesture wake is extremely fast and accurate. It’s on when I need it, off when I don’t. The torch is very useful. I use the red LED to move around the house at night, then switch to the bright white for taking the dog out. The build looks great, it's pleasing to look at, and you can fit any 26mm Garmin band including material bands. If you want the ruggedness of an Instinct but were worried about AMOLED battery drain, don’t be. This 50mm version is a beast.
