Stainless Steel Potato Chipper, Chip Cutter with 2 Stainless Steel Blades

This gadget does exactly as required. It's easy to use, the blades can be removed and re-positioned after cleaning very easily and we've had no issues from a safety point of view, ie no cut fingers. Great little chipper.

great for making healthy chips. the wee rubber feet fall off easily and I do worry about rusting long term. but so far so good.

This chipper works very well as long as you are sensible and don't abuse it with potatoes that are too large or sweet potatoes which are completely raw and too large! You cannot cut large potatoes as the machine is too small to take them, but if they are cut down to the optimum size and if sweet potatoes are microwaved for a couple of minutes after being peeled and cut to size the machine does a good job with both sized cutting blades. Some reviews say the rubber suction does not work, again it's just a case of having the lever in the correct position on a suitable smooth surface, I find that the lever needs to be pointing backwards and then brought all the way forward when a consistent grip is easy to obtain. Cleaning is easy also, for the reasonable cost the chipper is pleasant to use and works well.

I was excited to get a new kitchen gadget. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. There were no instructions in the box which was disappointing but there was a QR code on the product which took me to online instructions. The chips were great although a few annoying little edges due to the size of potatoes I used which would burn if I fried them. Other than that, there were no issues and it made nice sized chips. The French fry cutter just wouldn’t work. It was slightly bent when I took it out of the box but no matter what type, size or method I used, it simply wouldn’t cut them. I ended up getting small cuts in my fingers trying to get the potato back off the cutter too. This was very disappointing for me as I chose a cutter with 2 options as I wanted to make chips and fries.

I’m disappointed, I was hoping it would have stood up to more than white potatoes, it does not. The chipper affectionately known as Brian has met his match, and on his first ever battle against the veg. White potato - lovely job and felt very confident, now I consider this to be overly confident moving on to the next vegetable. Carrots - struggled and required will power and lots of swearing. Sweet potato - don’t even go there, the sight of them caused Brian to tremble with fear. Swede - you’re having an absolute laugh now, I will be honest I was too scared. Parsnip - now considered it’s mortal enemy, well it would have done had it not had died during the chipping process. Our thoughts are with Brian The Chipper. May he rest in peace. Ps. Now the mrs has convinced me that it’s just safer to get a Domino’s. I will be fat but at least I will be happy and remember Brian with fond memories.

I am willing to bet that most of the people who say they found this broke first time they used it, or that you have to thump it to get a potato through made the same mistake as I did. The manufacturer would do well to put a couple of simple diagrams on the sheet of A4 paper they put in the box, rather than just a qr code to take you to the instructions online. The device is too simple for most people think it necessary to go to that effort. But, before I realised how the cutting blades are meant to lock in to place, the first potato I put in it rose upwards as I pushed the handle down. This sent the blades upwards and meant the potato was pushing against the blades' frame. At this point it became very hard to push because the frame wouldn't cut through the potato. A lot of force made for some progress and I was tempted to try thumping but realised the blades were bending and didn't want to break them. With the blades correctly locked in they can't move and the potato goes through with not a lot of effort. I have used it a few times now and it saves a lot of time. I would say that the plastic piece that pushes the potato could be better shaped to push the chips all the way out of the blades, I do sometimes have to pull them out by hand. The suction cup on the bottom doesn't work on a wooden worktop, unsurprisingly, but I don't find it needs to be fixed down. The cutting pressure is applied downwards and it is not like I need to be wrestling with it.

Great value for money, I use mine all the time! Very sturdy, nice size, functional, saves plenty of time when creating home made chips! Very safe to use!

I ordered my first one back in 2020 and it just broke this evening( one of the blades broke off) as my husband was cutting fries lol. It was used almost every single night (my 5 kids love homemade fries) so that's over 5 years of CONSTANT use truly remarkable!!! I couldn't belive when I searched my previous orders that it was purchased so long ago. Whelp.... just ordered it again! ☺️ Hope it last just a long 🙏🏼

Pathetic product. Blades are if very bad quality. It doesn’t look like new one. What I received is different from what’s shown in the product details

Very poor quality…At first it worked fine but now just after a couple of weeks it will not work properly to be honest it is now of no use…A waste of money and for the price I paid I thought it would be good quality but no it is useless…..
