I love this hair color! I was very hesitant to switch brands because I have been a faithful Garnier Nutrisse customer for years. I found this one on Amazon and it was rated very well, and it was also a three pack for a very good price. I'm glad that I gave it a try. The one thing I did not like about it is the thin liquid that is more prone to dripping when I am used to a gel application. However, it was still easy to apply, and the color came out looking far more natural. I actually love this color more than the previous reds I have used from the other brand.

I used the dark auburn shade on medium brown hair with gray showing mostly at the temples and part line. The color came out warm but not clown-red, which was my main concern. I left it on according to the instructions and had full gray coverage in the areas that usually fight me. The conditioner packet helped because my hair didn’t feel straw-like afterward. Box dye can be hit or miss, but this one looked natural enough that nobody asked if I colored my hair. They just said it looked fresher.

I use the dark auburn. It doesn't dry my hair out. I love the conditioner that comes with it. I receive compliments on the color. I do though need to recolor my hair at least every 10 or so days because it begins to lose its vibrancy. For the price and not drying my hair out I am ok with it.

I’ve been a loyal Revlon Dark Auburn fan for about 5 years now. When we were all stuck at home and bored a few years ago, I decided to do a box dye for the first time and Revlon was top of the list. I was nervous, but usually when you have darker hair and no super light highlights, it isn’t as worrisome to do yourself. My color has always been auburn, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve lost some red. And gained some grays at the top. (Thanks to 2 heart surgeries and age I’m sure) This color has become my spring/summer go to color. The last box I got wasn’t great, but the new bond repair formula seems much better. I’m really trying to baby my hair and take really good care of it- so ammonia free and including keratin is great. No stinging eyes, and my hair felt soft and shiny too. Also- a great deal for 3 boxes! I will be buying again!
