This is a awesome tool! I needed something to mash up my cat wet food (pate isn't always available) since she needs easy digestion. I had been using a fork but the pieces are often tough and fork mashing them properly is hard on my arthritic hands. I chose this tool as it is small enough to fit inside the cat-food bowl and looked like a good prospect. It works beautifully. The rounded bottom means I don't have to push down hard, mostly I rock it back and forth and keep going around the bowm until I have the right consistency. It cleans up very easily and stores comfortably in a silverware drawer. This tool is very well made and sturdy so I expect to get a lot of use from it.

What a cutie! I have used this to mash avocados for quacamole and eggs for egg salad. It's so cute, and works so well. Others are impress with the sturdy build. I bought another for a granddaughter's kitchen. It has been in the dishwasher several times. I did cut the items up some before starting the mash. It's nice to be able to choose a level of 'mash'...little chunks or really mashed.

This is a great avocado masher. It solves the problem of trying to mash an avocado in a bowl with a fork, where the avocado tends to slip up the sides. With this tool, you can push straight down, without any avocado escaping. This masher is easy to clean, the head is all metal with no nooks and crannies. It can go in the dishwasher (although as with anything that touches avocado, do rinse it before the avocado starts drying on). Simple and functional. Highly recommend.
