I’ve tried several different cat litters over the years, and this Fresh Step Heavy Duty Odor Block litter has easily become one of my favorites, especially for a multi-cat household. The odor control is genuinely impressive and does a much better job keeping the litter box area fresh compared to many other brands I’ve used in the past. One thing I noticed right away was how well it clumps, making cleanup much easier and helping prevent waste from breaking apart during scooping. The litter forms strong, solid clumps that are easy to remove without leaving a mess behind or wasting clean litter. I also appreciate that the Febreze freshness scent is noticeable without being overpowering, helping the room smell cleaner without having an artificial or overly strong fragrance. Dust levels have also been fairly low compared to cheaper litters, which helps keep the surrounding area cleaner and reduces irritation when pouring or scooping. Even with multiple cats using the same litter boxes throughout the day, this litter does an excellent job controlling both moisture and ammonia odors for an extended period of time. The texture seems comfortable for the cats as well, since they adjusted to it immediately without any issues. Another thing I like is that the litter lasts a reasonable amount of time before needing a full replacement, making it a good value considering the performance. Best odor blocker cat litter I have ever used in my life. Worth the money, tracking is low, convenient to use for quick odor block when guests randomly show up, awesome clean up, clumping is strong! I absolutely recommend using it!

This is truly the best litter I have ever used. I’m extremely particular about the litter box, keeping it clean, no odor, etc. I’ve tried lots of different brands because I’m always looking for the best odor control for 2 cats. This one does an amazing job with odor control as well as little to no tracking/dust. This will now on be my go to!

It mostly did block a bit of odor for the most part, smelled real fresh once I poured it in the litter box. Unfortunately, I have a very messy, very smelly cat. Who is extremely prone to very cat-like behaviors of annoyance. Dust? Not too much really. It was pretty clean, not enough to coat the bottom of the pan. The tracking was super bad though. Like, all up in the paws all over my bed (from outside?!) man it was bad. For allergies, it was mild. I have a cat allergy that’s (bad? Yeah, just about there.) not deathly, but my cat is a walking allergen ball because she’s pampered. She doesn’t clean herself too well. May be the litter may not be. It clumped up strong, all around. Overall, it did a strong job of clumping. Especially on my cat’s toe beds. Yes. It’s heavy. But it did last a good while. It did a really good job, but at eliminating odor? Not at all. It was good when it was fresh, but after a couple uses it would just stink all the time. (This was a while ago so now I don’t have photos.)

This product is the best product on the market for odor control. I've tried literally everything from traditional clay, tofu, corn, olive pit, walnut shells, pine pellets etc. and nothing compares to the odor control. The Cons: - Cost (But worth it in my opinion) - Still Dusty - Tracking still occurs - Clumping is comparable to the Arm and Hammer Slide brand.

Very good litter. Small particles make it easier to scoop. Says 30 days no odor. I’ve scooped everyday for a week and it does have a little odor but not as bad as others.

I recently switched out Pretty Litter for Fresh Step Heavy Duty Odor Block. I am on my second box and find it is less dusty and controls odors better than Pretty Litter. The material is heavier and the granules are a bit bigger but my cats don't seem to try. I'm glad I gave it a try.

Lately the price for this formulation has gone crazy high, but it is my favorite on. It lasts and lasts and my house never smells like a cat house! I won't buy anymore till the price is reasonable though.

Good value for money spent and clumps well. I usually use Everclear which is high end and expensive. I can’t say this is “just as good” but it’s a close second and I’ve tried probably 15! Little dustier than Everclean but lasts just as long and much cheaper.
