I am a Caucasian elderly woman with very sensitive skin. I am very fair complexion and the sun does not like me too well. I have come to realize that sunscreen is a must for every time I step outside. I have been using this soap for a month now and I normally cleans my face first with regular soap then after I rinse it off then I lather up this Kojik Acid and I set my timer on 5 minutes and yes, it does burn a bit but not to the point of pain. After five minutes I rinse my face with cool water then I follow up using a toner on my face then I apply my moisturizer. I started out the first week using it three days. By the second week I use it every day once a day and leaving it on for 5 minutes. My brown spots are nearly gone and my face is a lot healthier and brighter. The bar of soap lathers remarkably well and I still have a half a bar left for another month. This bar last quite a while and the effects are very impressive. My husband and friends have noticed how glowy and pretty my face complexion looks. This bar does not have a strong fragrance and it is very easy to use. This soap never did burn or left my face red, which really amazed me. I will definitely come back and order some more to keep my face looking healthier and brighter. I love this brand of logic acid soap. Other brands that I’ve purchased were so soft that the bar didn’t last long. The smell is wonderful and I love the way it lightens my sun spots and refreshes my skin.

UPDATED AS PROMISED (that was typed under below) Effectiveness: This does not count since I only used this for a day and not sure how well the koji soap whitens dark areas. I might update it later when I see further results. Skin Irritation: Whitening soaps like Koji Acid most likely have a common ingredient to make it effective, irritating the skin, and dryness. What NOT to do: Do NOT leave the product onto your skin overtime even if you do not have sensitive skin. Once you leave the product onto your skin, rinse it all off. If not, it'll cause your skin to be irritated and most likely feel dry. Do NOT treat this soap as a face cleanser and don't overuse the koji soap how many times in a day. UPDATED Edit: If you're itching somewhere around your body, STOP using this product. Why I stopped using it: I'm only using my FIRST soap bar and I was using it during the shower. At some point my right arm (close to where my elbow is) won't stop itching after I got out of the shower especially during throughout the whole day. It was itching all day, I had to use a cream to stop the itching. When the itchiness went away permanently, I thought maybe it's because of this koji soap. I gave it another shot only to make sure and it was the cause of my itchiness on my right arm.

I received my five pack of soaps ant the end of May. I started using the Valitic soap on June 1st. I took pictures of my face and neck. Left side, right side and face forward. One month later on July 1st. I took pictures and all I can say is I am extremely happy. That feeling of shame and shyness is disappearing along with my dark spots. Although your skin may feel dry right after washing. In the morning you wake up to soft glowing skin. I can’t wait for Aug 1st picture!!
