Purchased a 42" white fan and was so pleased with it, I ordered a second one! Pros - very easy to install...took my husband about 30 minutes, start to finish. Fan moves a terrific amount of air...as much as our larger units. And it's super quiet, even on the highest speed. At most, it's more the sound of the air moving than any noticable motor sound. And it has a great, minimalist style...just what I wanted. Not really cons, but things to know- As mentioned by others, the light is quite bright. By flipping the switch on/off within 10 seconds, you can change the "color" to more warm to cut down on the brightness, but it is not dimmable. The instructions on the first one we put up were pretty vague, but the second one had a better set...go figure! We've installed lots of fans, so didn't take much to figure it out. Just make sure you have the little antenna, which communicates with the remote, on the control box upright when you put it inside the housing unit. Speaking of remotes, this also comes with a small bracket to mount on the wall or wherever convenient to keep track of the remote! My only complaint is that even though it is a white fan housing, the mounting bracket is black.At first glance, it appears to be totally covered by the fan housing. BUT it has anti-vibration pads on the top -which is great- but when placed against the ceiling electrical box, the pads hold it down from the ceiling at least 1/4". Not that big of a deal...if it was white. The black, however, is very noticeable. So before installing the second unit, I removed the bracket and gave it a couple of quick coats of white spray paint. The perfectionist in me is much happier! ( I attached a pic of the part I painted) Also, qudos to the seller! The 2nd unit arrived with a bent bracket which holds the light unit. There was no way to fix it. But within 24 hours of contacting the seller, via Amazon, a new fan was on its way and we received it 2 days later. Fantastic customer service!!! There aren't any reasons I can think of to pass on this fan.

First fan I ordered arrived with a wire disconnected from the controller box. I dreaded having to disassemble to return. Amazon owned the fulfillment and immediately shipped a new fan out. I was able to swap the controller unit and remote control and viola. Installment was a breeze. There a hook on the ceiling mount that allows one person installation. You can hook and dangle the fan while you connect the wires. The fan looks modern and is super quiet. All functions are controlled via the remote. There are two light settings. You have to cycle through off to reach the 2nd setting. There are 5 or 6 fans settings. The 3 setting was brisk and cooled the room. I love the modern look of the fan. Only thing I didn't realize was the directional switch. I think it is on the remote. Big ups to Amazon for the immediate response and fulfillment to ship a new fan.

Easy to install. Make sure you save old screws going into ceiling box. Their screws were too small to hold. After installing in less than 15 minutes. Looks great and works fine.
