Great brush, bristles medium -soft, certainly kind to my hair and scalp. Won't use plastic bristle brush to 'brush' my hair, not for my hair or scalp. The 'treats' that came with brush are perfect.

I love my Belula brush, and especially the comb. After a few months of brushing and distributing oils out with this boar brush, it's so much softer and more cooperative than before. My hair is long, about 27 inches, very fine, and other kinds of brushes always seem to rip and break it, while other boar brushes always seem too stiff. I'm a big fan of the wood handle. It's easy to hold from the end or the brush head itself, lightweight, and sturdy. There was some bristle shedding for the first few weeks of regular use, but that's expected with any natural fiber product. The comb that comes with it, however, is absolutely my favorite comb ever. The shape, the prong density, the finish on the wood, I could go on and on about it. It's perfect for gentle detangling, and I use it all the time. The one that came with my original order did break, apparently due to a manufacturing error, but when I reached out to Belula to ask if they sell a replacement comb, they went ahead and sent me a new one. It comes in a beautifully presented box, great for gifting, with a storage bag, a towel headband, and a sticker seal so you know you're not getting someone's returned item. Even the box is well made, in case you're the kind to reuse boxes. Great product, great presentation, great customer service. I plan to buy some as gifts in the future and will recommend it to anyone who will listen to me ramble about hair care.

This is a great brush for thin hair and so glad a friend shared the recommendation. It comes in a beautiful box and includes a comb & a spa-like headband. It makes a beautiful and classy gift for yourself or a loved one.

Ok so this brush is awesome, it just makes my hair a little staticky. I have really thin, fine, long hair. It gets so oily fast. But really, I am obsessed with the comb that comes with this! I use it way more than the brush hahah! It's so amazing at distributing the natural oils on my hair. My hair looks stunning and not staticky after using this comb and I have to wash my hair less. I brush it dry for like 3 minutes a day and it works amazing.

Belula is worth the purchase I ordered the brush a little nervously after reading most of the comments. However, as soon as I got the package I knew that those comments were WRONG. The board head brush arrived in a beautiful box. Inside was a cherry wood comb, a cotton spa facial headband, a traveling bag, and a letter that added a personal touch (see pictures). As you can see in my pictures the brush and comb have a dragonfly on them which contributes to the natural quality of the material. I first washed my brush (as the letter instructed) and waited for it to dry before use. Once I started brushing my hair (head upside down) I couldn’t stop! I was looking for a reasonably priced and high-quality boar bristle brush and finally found one! I have always used a boar bristle brush throughout my life and I had to say this was the best one! It’s only day two and I can see the difference in my hair quality; shine and texture. My scalp feels healthier and relaxed. I tend to have a scalp that aches even if I put it back with just a small clip. In the morning and before I go to bed I give myself a “treat” by combing and brushing my hair. You can not go wrong by buying this product- especially from Belula! From the design, materials, quality, personal touches, and reasonable prices- you are getting a great deal! It’s a shame that the company has to leave those misleading comments up. I know that they are leaving them, to be honest, but I can't help but feel that it takes away another customer who is missing out on this incredible product. Therefore let me clear up some things that have wrongly been said: These are stated several times on this site, and even in the letter once you open your shipped box: 1. The brush is soft- the brush bristle is 100% boar. Thus the brush is very soft. Many people are used to the harsh- hair ripping out brushes that scratch against your scalp. This brush is designed to treat your hair with the respect it deserves. 2. The brush does not untangle hair- the comb is used to untangle hair- you should never use a brush (no matter the kind) to untangle your hair as it will only damage it. 3. Brushing your hair upside down- this stimulates blood circulation and moves sebum. You need to “work your hair in order for it to be healthy. It’s similar to exercising in order to keep your body in shape. 4. The brush can smell- when you first get the brush you have to wash it. Keep in mind you are putting water on a “boar”. It will smell- sometimes it is ferocious. Once it dries the smell goes away. I’m so happy with my purchase and am going to buy another one for a family member! Thank god I found Belula! Thank you for making me appreciate my hair and scalp again!

Great looking brush and comes with a wooden comb for removing the hair. The bristles were too soft for my taste. Only would smooth the to layer of hair, not the hair close to my head.

Its a nicer brush than ive found where i live & i got one because my little has thin hair thats snarled everyday like shes twisting it to make dreadlocks at night, i said "naw mon" watched some yubtub videos & landed on the decision that a brush like this may help. She needs copious amounts of product everyday (IM SICK OF IT) and want her to start learning to care for that mop herself, shes 5, she loves it. I bought it for her & when i gave it to her i told her it was hers & she agreed strongly, loved it right away & even daddy cant use it (even though i bought the damn thing) i know that because i was brushin her hair & when i was done i said "this is kinna cool" gave my beard a couple test wooshes to see if it felt right & thought maybe id get myself a lil one. My sweet little angel turned right into a little F××××× snatched it from me, scolded me "its just mine dad" she said as if my beard were dipped in sh××. I feel like if she catches me using it again i may get shanked next time we're out in the yatd so... I recomend because its loved at my house & it probly will be at yours aswel.

Gorgeous! My hair could be described as fine, half curly half wavy and prone to dryness. I purchased this brush as part of a natural hair care method. I love how it redistributes any hair oil and leaves a shiny finish. I’m looking forward to using this long term and experiencing the hair benefits. I also think with the packing and sweet touches this would make a very nice gift for anyone who needs a little self care.

I'm 60 with long, wavy salt and pepper hair. Up until a couple of years ago, it was thick, shiny and my 'trademark' and I received lots of compliments on my lovely natural mane. Sadly 2 years ago my gorgeous husband passed away after battling through a painful and hideous cancer diagnosis. We had been together from 15 years of age and married for 37 years. Obviously I was, and still am devastated My hair was one of the many ways my body has manifested the grief and trauma I suffered after losing my soul mate. I have tried so many treatments, at home and in salon. Expensive shampoos, tips from online, oils, scalp massage, zero heat.........but nothing worked, my hair remained a frizzy, tangled, dull and fragile mess. I have considered cutting it short, but my children have asked me not to as "Mum just wouldn't be herself without long hair." My daughter is getting married in July and I have been upping the search in how to restore at least some of the shine and condition to make sure I look good on her special day. So I finally decided to give a boar bristle brush a go. This one is a reasonable price, compared to others I've seen so I went for it, honestly without holding out much hope. So I was very pleasantly surprised when after just one use I felt a bit of silkiness in my strands that I haven't felt in a very long time. I am actually thinking that with regular use, this brush might give me some hope that my hair can look and feel more like it did years ago. The brush came beautifully packaged in a sturdy box with tissue, a little wooden comb, a soft headband and a bag to keep it in. There was a lovely message enclosed that given my circumstances felt very comforting and heartfelt. I will not go into details of it as this review is already very long! There was also very helpful information on how to use the brush to gain the most benefits from it, and take correct care of it. Most importantly, the brush itself is such good quality. The wooden paddle is smooth and feels good in the hand, lightweight but solid. The bristles are soft enough to glide over the hair. It does take several goes through the hair, but there was no knotting and hardly any breakage or lost strands in the brush afterwards. I am beyond happy, and hopeful that I will no longer be cutting off my hair before the wedding 😍 Thank you if you have read this far, it's a very long review, especially for someone who very rarely writes them. But on this occasion I feel the praise is very much warranted.

After reading ALL the reviews for ALL of Amazon's boar bristle brush line, I initially didn't feel descriptions were clear or helpful for readers to make decisions on which brush to buy with feeling or trying it. I was seeking a boar bristle brush for my 10 year old grandson whose shoulder length hair is gorgeous and of medium thickness. He's active, so it tangles easily. I wanted a brush that was easy on his scalp and also resulted in pleasant scalp stimulation and shiny hair. Because I wanted to feel it first, I bought a boar bristle brush in a pharmacy, but the bristles were too stiff and hurt my grandson's scalp the few times he used it--waste of money, poor product. I returned to Amazon.ca and decided to buy the Belula brush because the bristles looked the right length, density and quantity, the handle was long enough to hold while brushing and the oval shape was what's needed for the brush to evenly transfer hair oils through the entire scalp and length of the hair. Some brushes are too hard and painful, some are too soft to the reach to the base of the scalp and stimulate it. It's difficult to tell from photos how a brush will perform, so I enlarged the Belula photo to assure that the bristles were dense and long enough to engage all the hair and had no plastic tips like so many brushes do--those plastic tips create static electricity in the hair and damage the scalp, so consumers should avoid them. The Belula brush is perfect--just what I hoped for. It arrived in an attractive, security sealed hard box. The quality of the brush, the wooden handle, frame, bristles and comb is excellent. The feel of the bristles is soft enough to massage the scalp and transfer oils for shiny hair, but not so soft that the user must hold the hair while brushing to force bristles to penetrate thicker hair. The box is beautifully laid out, with the brush laying atop a wide, soft headband with velcro closure (this item wasn't advertised so it's a bonus). There is also a good quality, small size wooden comb for detangling wet hair and a nice, strong linen travel bag with a drawstring for brush and comb. There is also a letter from the supplier advising contact name/email/phone information for customer service and instructions to take if not pleased with the product. On the reverse side are detailed instructions on how to use and clean both brush and comb and how to avoid damaging your hair when using any brush or the Belula product. I had reason to contact the supplier to advise about a delivery detail, and the company could not have been more prompt, courteous, gracious and supportive. They appear to be proud of their brush sets and really seem to care that their customers are pleased with their purchases and happy to assist if there are any concerns. I am delighted with this purchase, especially since the retail store supply of boar bristle hair brushes is now almost non-existent, and what's available is below average quality. The Belula brush is exactly the quality and design I was seeking, the price was reasonable for such excellent quality, the delivery was quick and on time, and my grandson loves it. I highly recommend this brand for those who want a well designed brush that's comfortable to hold, penetrates the hair to pleasantly stimulate the scalp and results in healthy and very shiny hair.

I’m very happy with this purchase. The brush comes in a pretty box with a come, soft adjustable headband and storage bag. Everything looks like it is of good quality and will last me a very long time. The instructions on how to use the brush are very helpful and easy to understand. The brush is very soft. For the best results one needs to have a little patience and brush twice daily for 2-5 minutes. My hair is fine and straight, so I feel like I brushed enough after 2 minutes. The brush leaves my hair silky and soft and it distributes sebum well. This brush is not for detangling hair or for wet brushing (as is clearly mentioned in the instructions). Easy to clean by soaking in hot water with a few drops essential oil.
